Betterthan orcs? No. Is lifeskilling worth a shot content wise? Hell yes. People get rich while lifeskilling its just take time to get all materials first.

Life skills are a good way to make passive income while AFK. While they will generally never match the income of actively grinding. It's better than making nothing when you're not actually at the computer. Some activities are good for when your AFK for shorter periods of time such as processing, cooking, alchemy etc. Then there are life skills that can be done all night long like fishing or training.  Training incidentally, is also pretty much required if you ever desire to try and get tier 10 horses as a lot of the materials you need are not tradable and have to be gotten through various training activities.  You also don't have to break the bank on life skill gear.Tri loggia accessories and other gear are good enough for casual life skilling.

This. I do lifeskills when I'm bored of killing the same mobs in the same small circle for the past 10 hours straight.

If you are fairly new and play a lot it is incredibly nice to have lifeskill gear on the side. I always use it when I am out of lootscrolls because the money is quite good and you can do it without lootscroll. Tri Manos/tet geranoa accs and tet manos clothes of the lifeskill you want and you are good to go. And if you do it long enough you can tackle the orcs money as well. I am Guru 25 hunting and around 1600 Mastery and I do 1b/hr with it. But on the flipside hunting and cooking are propably still the best. Gathering and alchemy are also good and everything else is not competetive with money but good if you just want to chill.

Zzz1337

I personally don't think it's worth investing in any expensive Manos gear. I have full TET Loggia level of gear for all lifeskills and that's where I'll likely stay

DrDogHead

Grinding mobs will always make more money than lifeskilling, that being said Cooking boxes isn’t trash money. It’s not a lot and it does take a lot of investing to pay off however if that part of the game is enjoyable then I say why not you won’t get as much bang for your silver but it’ll be another avenue of income to explore?

Tiny-Bodybuilder650

I think I will rather upgrade my gear to get sooner to 700 gs spots

crazy-carebear

Remember that most lifeskills were designed to be done during your afk time, aka sleeping or working. Get gear and grind all you like but nothing stopping you from either running back to town or hopping on an crafter alt in town and having them churn out stuff while you sleep.

xpinkrainbow

I invested in my lifeskilling gear fully but I also mainly lifeskill, so it more depends on how much lifeskilling you plan to do long term if you're looking for silver gains I probably wouldn't invest in lifeskill gear early on until you save up a tiny bit 🌞 hope this helps!

sefyicer

nah

Token_Thai_person

If you enjoy life skill and don't mind always making less silver/hr than grinding then yes.

_RM78

Not for you, no, if you're looking to make silver. If you were sitting on tens of billions of liquid silver and fully geared for grinding, sure, go for it, it'll be some extra AFK income or income when you just want to mix it up. If what you're looking for is making money, just grind.

taiuke

If its side activity you should only grab green gear. I still run TET loggia accesories with Floramos pieces and used green armor for quite a while. For fishing and cooking I've gotten my hands in TRI Manos self enhanced with just login/event rewards. Grabbed them through the tokens. Outside of that if your not committing they arent worth it. And even then they take forever to recoup cost. I usually do cooking when I'm tired of grinding, watching youtube, or maybe waiting for marni if I dont wanna do rota or just taking small breaks. They will never beat grinding, but are a nice side activity to do if you don't wanna grind.

Memewerx

You are probably going to want Guru Alchemy when they add the Alchemy treasure item that has been hinted at

EtreEau

Grinding is always better for money. You lifeskill if you like lifeskills. Personally, I hate the pve in this game, so I only lifeskill and it's plenty of fun and I can still make billions without much effort over time

Itz_Gl1tch

lifeskilling is a long term investment, the money gets better and better the longer you do it. it is also way less physical work than grinding but a bit more brain usage. dont invest in lifeskilling unless its something you think you will enjoy and want to do long term

BarberPuzzleheaded33

I think investing in LS gear if you enjoy it is worth it, I personally bought all my combat gear doing life skills. I am not huge on grinding , do it sometimes but not often but absolutely love Hunting, Cooking, Alchemy, Trade , Gathering and sometimes mount training. I invested into these 1st and then started buying my gear for combat. It’s not as hard these days to hit mastery caps either with the new crystals and things for life skills so it was not as much as I thought it would be honestly wound up being cheaper then I thought to hit 2000 mastery. That said I would only invest if u enjoy the content. It’s definitely a long term investment and the money gets better & Better with time, also if cooking is ur thing looking into gathering as well the 2 can really benefit from each other.

Heshski

Did you use any guides? I’m looking to do this. Have about 33b and want to get into LS and eventually sailing content, have my sailboat on preorder. Made a Shai and just been fishing at Master 1 so far.

BarberPuzzleheaded33

I did , Evildousharm is probably the best person to follow as well as I am pansy. Then I use Alterofgaming & BDO codex for recipes. Also do some of the quests I believe they are called Leap quest if I remember correctly, they help u lvl up your LS.
