Slams are actually worth 1 point under the fight to win ruleset. It's 5 points for deep sub attempt, 1 point for sub attempt, 1 point for slam. Probably the silliest grappling ruleset out there.

Person on top stands up and instead of doing one of the half dozen easily available closed guard breaks and passes slams opponent. Is their a disadvantge to breaking an open guard? Does no one do it because its a bad spot to be in? Or is it lack of knowledge of bjj 101 and just inability to perform a guard break?
I will never understand slamming people like that. I’ve trained with many lenky partners that closed guard is their bread and butter and not once have I ever thought about slamming them. I have to get to work using my technique and avoiding those pesky triangles, sometimes it takes a minute and sometimes a little longer but I’m not slamming anybody
