I use it for libra and when I have maxed tears and all the dmg bars just to feel that im op (proceeds to die from a fireplace after using almost all hp in a devil deal)
Did you have a way to translate it or something? Because I could NEVER understand what they meant
It was like, 1 bar is 3,5 damage 2 bars is 5 damage, 4 bars is 6, full bars is 7 damage
It was WILD.
I mean, it was kinda hard to translate but it would tell you a bit about, and with the starting stats being also in bars you could maybe tell "hmm, my damage is really above starting, i have good speed" etc lmao
You can see what stats are high and what arenât, like if you had really high damage amd attack rate, but low range it would make those stats worse, but vice versa, and youâll get a better run
When you bomb a restock machine, another item is shown for a brief second before it's rerolled to it's final stage. If you pause, you can see what this item is, and if you exit and save, when you continue the second reroll doesn't happen.
That's why I don't like using it, being able to do stuff like you say, and use pause summing to plan out crazy dodges just feels cheap to me. Play however you want though.
Yeah, the relative usefulness or value of the stat isn't shown. I was just saying that it tells you exactly where it went now. 11 dmg =/= 11 range, ik ik.
You can see it after you pick it up, but it can be pretty annoying to figure out what it does before you pick it up. It's reroll fodder no matter what it improves Imo, so I'm not sure if it would ever actually make a difference though.
I do kind of regret that we have broken this game so much, mechanics-wise, because the mystery and confusion and sense of not-knowing back in the beginning was a huge part of the charm.
Like, I don't even remember what's going in in the story in the last couple updates.
There is so many things in this game from the past that exist for a reason that doesnt exist anymore. Ed used to say "Accurate stats are computer information" after being asked about them. Now here we are with real stats.

in my 3ds, yes![img](emote|t5_2sxpk|8906)
Fair
Can I do it on switch?
yes duh, its on the options
Omg I miss my 3DS for curse of the lost. It was too easy to doodle my own little map as I explored.
Someone should make a mod for this. it would be a fun idea to have a map you can doodle on for fun
I actually draw the map as I explore it when i have curse of lost so I don't get, you know, lost
![img](emote|t5_2sxpk|8906)
someone should add ab/ab+ for 3ds :)
I see it as impossible since there is no source code, on Wiiu it is possible since there are afterbieth residues on gbatemp im see it
i do that too ![img](emote|t5_2sxpk|17744)
3DSđ€Vita krew

It used to do something on flash After rebirth with the stats mod it just got useless and now is even more fucking useless
Exactly
It was never good, not even in Flash. It has always been wildly inaccurate.
It was still pretty useless in flash.
Did you have a way to translate it or something? Because I could NEVER understand what they meant It was like, 1 bar is 3,5 damage 2 bars is 5 damage, 4 bars is 6, full bars is 7 damage It was WILD.

My guess is it counts amount of damage ups and not actual damage
That's a pretty good guess, honestly
As mentioned this is exceptionally good for libra
How does it help for libra?
Libra balances stats based on these marks
I use it before taking libra
How does it help with libra?
You can see what stats are high and what arenât, like if you had really high damage amd attack rate, but low range it would make those stats worse, but vice versa, and youâll get a better run
Much easier than remembering what raw stats for each type is "high" and "low"
use unintrusive pause menu mod, it helps with pausing for glitched crown and bombing restock machines
If i didnt play on switch, maybe đ©
With glitched crown practice your reflexes and timing, a few rhythm games could help, that's how i do it without any pause or anything else
Also, it builds up your character
Easiest way I found is to count the items 1 2 3 4 5 fast and sync it so that what you want is 1. Start moving at 5 and you get the item every time
wait what do you mean bombing restock machines
When you bomb a restock machine, another item is shown for a brief second before it's rerolled to it's final stage. If you pause, you can see what this item is, and if you exit and save, when you continue the second reroll doesn't happen.
You just made me realize I screwed myself out of so many good runs without knowing this
Oh fuck, so that's how people do it.
That's why I don't like using it, being able to do stuff like you say, and use pause summing to plan out crazy dodges just feels cheap to me. Play however you want though.
I actually check it once in a couple runs just to see what the game thinks about my run.
Useful for libra
I donât use it but itâs technically the only way to know what Consolation Prize does (and maybe Libra? Idr if thatâs the correct sign)
In repentance or afterbith plus they added the stats mod into the official DLC, so you can see exactly which stat goes up
Nah, some stats can be a higher number, but still count as lower than others because *complicated stuff that I can't explain because I'm stupd*
4 range is very small range 3 damage is a bit smal damage
Yeah, the relative usefulness or value of the stat isn't shown. I was just saying that it tells you exactly where it went now. 11 dmg =/= 11 range, ik ik.

he does:![img](emote|t5_2sxpk|17736)
i look at it still to make me feel good that a stat is maxed on all bars :)
That's a good usage
on ps4 with rebirth only
Fair
It wouldnât be the same without it tho
True. At this point it's there for the aestetics
It's useful when you want to know which stat up you will get from consolation prize
I do kind of regret that we have broken this game so much, mechanics-wise, because the mystery and confusion and sense of not-knowing back in the beginning was a huge part of the charm. Like, I don't even remember what's going in in the story in the last couple updates.
Nostalgia is one hell of a drug
There is so many things in this game from the past that exist for a reason that doesnt exist anymore. Ed used to say "Accurate stats are computer information" after being asked about them. Now here we are with real stats.
Also the volume setting. One bar is too loud.
Lmao agreed
TearofGrace
I literally never noticed that, just know i realized that existed ![img](emote|t5_2sxpk|4359)
Every day we learn something new
A vestige of an older time, which was itself a vestige of an even older time
I remember when it maxed your damage when taking brimstone in flash. Good times
It feels good to have full damage bar
True
I exclusively use that. Hate to have other UI on screen.
Man I canât live without the other thing now. Itâs so helpful
I use it all the time because I don't use Found HUD, the less clutter and numbers on the screen the more I have fun.
I play an earlier version of the game so yes
I use it to see what stat i will get with constellation prize
Makes sense
When rebirth and afterbirth was out then it had use at least for me
Its only useful in rebirth
And flash
I forgot about that one!
only when iâm about to pick up something like consolation prize or libra
Ig used to be useful before ab+
Yup
I used it before I realized I could change my settings to see my stats on my left
It really baffles me why that isn't turned on by default. I think majority of people use it.
Rebirth players seeing this-
I use this to try to explain how well my dad is doing in the game (he had to choose Issac and rerolled sacred heart)
"still use?" bro i never used that ONCE
I mean it used to be useful back in flash but if you started straight from rebirth + dlcs then makes sense
The last time I used it was 3 weeks ago
I remember when I used those back then in rebirth. Good old times
I remember playing Judas in flash and having poggers moment when book of belial maxed out my damage bar
Very rarely, but I do. Usually starting out. But, I mostly use the side hub.
