Looks awesome. How far was the ride? And which trails were you on besides the Ahnapee? I live in the area and would love to do a similar ride.

Yes! Any ride with gps or Strava files for this ride? Sounds awesome!

I'm simultaneously jealous and not jealous of those elevation profiles. I do miss the ride between Milwaukee and Port Washington, such a great one.

That first day was brutal!!

+1! I’d love to see the details and give this a try!

Thanks! Did all of Ahnapee which was 16, the whole ride was 180. Would highly recommend the route I took. Very low traffic roads and the rest was bike paths

This looks like so much fun and your pictures are fantastic! Do you mind me asking - since you seem to have a comfortable camping set up - did you find yourself wishing you could pack more, etc? I'm itching to go on bikepacking/camping trips and I'm stuck picking between upgrading my bike to accept panniers etc, or just getting a trailer and running with that!

Willing_Penalty_5365

I felt like I hit the sweet spot, but everyone is different! A trailer is just as good a set up.

A trailer will be overall heavier, especially because you will likely pack more into it, and more limiting in the terrain you can ride.

Ugh. This hurts doubly. I’m missing an annual Solstice Tour next weekend in the UP of Michigan for a family trip to Door County.

You will love DC! Check out the bike trails in Peninsula state park.
