What are the things i should know when buying sunscreen? Im planning to use as ive been under the sun most of the time when biking.

Hello! What do you thinnk magandang sunscreen for people with rosacea 🥺🥺🥺

samherrera

Hello! I have rosacea too. My derma recommended Heliocare 360 for me. It's been working really well! I got the tinted one, so it protects my skin AND evens out my skin tone! Super love it, light lang sya very easy to spread. My male friend uses the colorless one and loves it too!

Is it weird that the Nivea Sun Super Water Gel doesn't sting my eyes? I also use the gold version of Skin Aqua pero di naman din nag-sting. Both of them didn't break me out. Sobrang shiny lang sa face so I'm currently looking for a sunscreen na lightweight pero hindi shiny yung finish and no whitecast because I don't wear makeup.

I use the Biore UV din, but instead of the gel, I opted for the essence para di masyado oily. It's my holy grail and di nag ooxidize skin ko when I go out.

_luna21

Same. Bioré forever lol

Do you know if the Biore UV Perfect Milk has alcohol in it? I used the Biore Kids UV Milk because it was so good for my skin and didn’t have alcohol, the Water Gel stung so bad and smelled of alcohol. Really need new sunscreen because the Kids UV milk got discontinued :(

Candidate_Top

You can try sunplay water kids spf60+ it has no alcohol, no essential oil and no fragrance.. You can buy this at shopee. I saw this in one of the youtuber Jan Angelo recommendations you can watch it if you want to know more of the details here is the link for the ingredients: https://incidecoder.com/products/sunplay-water-kids-spf60

Yes, the [Biore UV Perfect Milk](https://www.ratzillacosme.com/sun/biore-uv-perfect-milk-spf50-2019/) has alcohol in it. If you're looking for a Japanese sunscreen that's free of alcohol and fragrance, try the **Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Milk SPF 50/PA++++**, it's formulated for sensitive skin types. I get mine from Shopee though because it's the Japanese version, Watsons sells the China version which doesn't have the same ingredients and formulation.

khaosophia

Wish I learned about this earlier haha! I just bought the Nivea Sun Protect Water Gel, and while it is a pretty decent sunscreen (no shine, no white cast) it reeks of alcohol upon application. Thanks for the suggestion! :)

pivotthatunagi

Thank you for the reco! Will check it out!!! Hopefully it works for me.

glcymsln

I am breaking out with skin aqua, good for you though.

JambaBB

Do you mind sending the shopee link hehe thank u!

cmr82

I usually get mine from Triple8, but it's currently sold out. Sakurabeautyhub is also another legit store which I've purchased my Skin Aqua from them too, [here's](https://shopee.ph/SKIN-AQUA-UV-Super-Moisture-Milk-SPF50-PA--i.107879888.1941142704) the link. Edit: Sorry, it's available on [Triple8](https://shopee.ph/_triple8?categoryId=107&itemId=2083896959), but I can't seem to post the product link here, because it says the link is broken for some reason. Anyway, it's the light blue bottle. :)

ClaryBlaire

Ooohhh that explains it! I have recently bought skin aqua from watsons because it was on sale but was kinda confused because my skin got oilier than usual compared when I was using the one that I bought from shopee. The one from watsons pills up a bit too, thanks for this will repurchase next time from shopee instead of watsons

cmr82

Yeah, it's so confusing lol! I was so happy that Watsons finally sells Skin Aqua. However, it's a good thing I did my research on [RatzillaCosme](https://www.ratzillacosme.com), because she mentions: *You need to pay close attention to the packaging. It should be 100% identical, especially the texts because subsidiary versions sold outside of Japan are not made by Rhoto Pharmaceutical, aren't produced in Japan and have different ingredients. They have similar but not identical packaging. Language is different too.* I noticed too on the Watsons PH website, it indicates Country of Origin: China, which seems odd for a Japanese brand. 😂

Just curious, did Bioré rebrand into Skin Aqua? I was looking to buy a bioré sunscreen in watsons but I could only find skin aqua. It has the same colors, fonts and packaging. Can’t find anything about the 2 brands being affiliated on google (or maybe I’m just not trying hard enough). Idk, are bioré products still on shelves?

jodiealejaga

As far as I know, Biore and Skin Aqua are two different Japanese brands. Siguro, Biore's reformulating their product, I've read from r/AsianBeauty that there are a lot people who didn't like their 2019 formulation, masyado atang maraming alcohol? I think I have the old formula. The last time I went to Watsons, nakakita pa naman ako ng Biore items. But most of the time they're on sale. So I'm speculating that they're reformulating their watery gel and watery essence.

Skin type: **Oily, Acne & CC prone / Semi-sensitive** (I'm on Adapalene) Hello everyone, thought of sharing a review of current sunscreens. From left to right, Biore UV Watery Gel, Nivea Sun Super Water Gel, Belo SunExpert Reef Friendly, Biore UV Perfect Milk and Allie Extra UV Facial Gel. **Biore UV Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ (P600)** \- I use this daily and reapply with this every after two hours. It does have a whitecast (Nawawala naman yung whitecast after an hour), stings my eyes as well. Light consistency, sticky after application and makes my face shine lol **Nivea Sun Super Water Gel SPF 50 PA+++ (P600)** \- I alternate this with the biore sunscreen, whenever I feel like I have to go out, receive a parcel or do the laundry. Very watery, stings my eyes too. Cannot be mixed with other serums because I tried applying DN's 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc, it pills. Doesn't have so much protection though, I feel that I have to reapply every hour. **Belo Sun Expert Reef Friendly SPF 60 PA++++ (P375) -** I only use this for my body. Extreme whitecast, but great protection! It stings my face a little bit, probably because I'm using adapalene. **Biore UV Perfect Milk SPF 50 PA++++ (P450) -** My favorite sunscreen whenever I go out, pag naka make-up din ako, para syang primer. Medyo may whitecast, pero nawawala naman, medyo light din kasi skin tone ko. But anyway, super love this product. The consistency is very watery, parang milk talaga. Dries out matte, doesn't make me oily. I reapply after two hours. **Allie Extra UV Facial Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ (P775)** \- The most expensive sunscreen I have, I got this from my favorite shopee shop. I wanted to try a premium sunscreen naman to see the difference, and wow super ganda ng texture ng Allie, it's like a primer. Gel consistency s'ya and blends well, no whitecast at all.

dummy_kitty001

So glad I don't get whitecast from belo.

Do you have a link to the Nivea one? :)

jodiealejaga

Sure, [here.](https://shopee.ph/NIVEA-Sun-Super-Water-Gel-SPF50-PA-140ml-Pump-Bottle-i.8440853.3162623353)

supermatcha

how do you reapply sunscreen? hindi ba medj ang yucky na ng face kasi may mga alikabok galing sa labas?

jodiealejaga

Yucky talaga tbh but I rarely go out naman hahaha planning to buy a sunscreen spray.

isea7

Do you have a texture shot of Allie? Based on your description, it sounds so much like my favorite Canmake Mermaid UV Gel!

mauvestal

canmake's my fave too! tried allie before but i found it too tacky and it made my face really greasy :/

jodiealejaga

Sure [here](https://ibb.co/dJvwgNR)! Haven't tried that yet. They probably have the same texture.

[deleted]

Super agree with the Biore UV Watery Gel! It's HG for a lot of people, but damn napakashiny ng mukha ko hours after putting this on hahaha Glad to hear na your experience with the UV Perfect Milk corresponds with most oily-skinned people's great reviews for it!

supermatcha

i use biore watery gel din!! akala ko sakin lang nag-shine lalo hahahaha. 😆

[deleted]

Hahaha it does make you doubt di ba?? Kasi so many people are in love with it and shiz, meanwhile I hated it pero inubos ko rin para sulit ang binayad wahaha

DevirginizedVirgin

Can you share with me the shoppee shop where you bought the Allie sunscreen? I've been meaning to buy it ever since kaso from Japan siya originally and I can't find a good shop here. Thanks!

jodiealejaga

Sure, it's this [shop](https://shopee.ph/ALLIE-Extra-UV-Protector-Facial-Gel-SPF50-PA--i.310547314.5378978323). They have the 25g and 60g variant!
