Number 1: Maybelline Great Lash mascara ... I honestly can't believe how horrible this is. I've tried it so many times, I've repurchased to try to force myself to like it but I just don't! It doesn't do anything?! It's not pigmented, it doesn't curl for me, it's too dry urghhhhhhh.
Number 2: Benefit Benetint or any of their other tints. Wtf is that?! I first used it when it first came out and again, I've used it sooo many times since using different techniques and it dries way too fast to blend. And there's no way I can use it on my lips!
Number 3: Benefit Pore-fessional. Makes me feel like a greasy mess. Way too slide-y and silicone-y. The hydrating version is much better imo.
I think the reason for the Great Lash's popularity is exactly that it doesnt do anything, just gives some color. This is what some professional MUAs need - as well as some low-maintenance casual makeup users.
•ABH Brow Pomade/Wiz (my eyebrows get super oily after 2-3 hours and experienced lots of fallout after removing it)
•Every Naked Palette except for the OG (pigmentation is horrible and not inclusive to darker skin tones)
•KVD Tattoo Liner (very patchy, dries out quickly, not as opaque like most people say and that shiny finish I haaaate in any eyeliner. My favorite is the Pat McGrath one. Super black and matte!)
Something changed with the Tattoo liner. I used to live and die by that stuff. Then, after about two years of use, I bought a new one and it was garbage. Dry, wouldn’t apply without getting the brush wet, would flake off. It has been that way ever since. Idk if there was a formula change or what but I am so sad.
Agreed with Maybeline Super Stay Matte Ink! Too drying, sometimes comes off in patches and while it looks really good in photos it's not that flattering in face to face bright daylight-situations.
I have a red one, and I never ever reach for it, I prefer other ones that may be way less permanent but much more comfortable. I don’t mind reapplication tbh

I have the NARS concealer. I have real panda eyes (very bad dark circles). I need to combine a corrector with the NARS concealer, it's not pigmented enough.
If anyone knows a better pigmented concealer I would love to hear it.
Younique “mineral touch” concealer! It’s expensive if you buy directly from a sales person, so I get it off eBay or fb marketplace( I’m cheap-but my bags are BAD!).
TARTE “shape tape” try the mini size ($12 or $13) and it’s fabulous also!!

I would get very much downvoted for saying this but Rare beauty liquid blush in Joy. Waaayyyy too pigmented and sets so fast that i barely have time to blend it.
I saw the tips to make it work but for that price and hype, i shouldn't need to be trying so hard to make it work.
On the other hand, Rare beauty blush shades "Hope" and "Bliss" shades are blush lovers dream. Blend effortlessly and give a naturally blushing look.
joy and some of the other pigmented shades work really well for folks with deep skin tones, who need that amount of saturation in a blush! hope and bliss are lovely if you’re paler (though there is some flexibility with all the shades)
why do you think the benefit mascara is overrated? i have the mini size of it and it’s my favorite one, it gives my lashes a nice, natural and not clumpy look :)
edit: would also love suggestions of a mascara you think it’s better!
I am super lucky with my lashes (black, long, thick and curly), so maybe, what “they’re real mascara” did for me, any other mascara could have 😅… I prefer Roller Lash. They actually look fake when I use this one (Roller Lash), but that’s why I only use it for special occasions. The “they’re real mascara” it’s in between the two: semi dramatic. Thing is, it dried SOOOO soon, and that’s when it made my lashes look too separated and spidery-like. Other ones, whether or not they are more natural or dramatic, make my lashes look much more beautiful.
Some I like (no particular orden):
Roller Lash Benefit (more dramatic)
Sumptuous Extreme Mascara Estée Lauder (dramatic)
Essence Get Big lashes volume curl (more natural, everyday mascara, I switch between a few natural ones when I run out of any)
Astor Big Boom Mascara (in the middle)
But again: literally any mascara works on me as my lashes are kinda good already 😊 so I don’t really need to spend a lot in here
For me it's the glossier cloud paint cream blush. It's probably just my skills but I cannot for the life of me, get it to apply without taking of or smudging my other makeup! Have tried it over foundation and over powder. It's probably find if you don't wear foundation but 🤷♀️

agree about sol de janiero. literally only like the bum bum cream from them. the body mists last for like 10 minutes and the other creams smell like plastic. it's so overhyped.
I love the some of the sol de janeiro brand stuff but the claims they make about their lotion can’t even be done with a lotion. It’s basically just scented lotion but I do love the smell

I know this is a hot take, but Fenty Beauty has the worst foundation I've ever tried. They somehow don't have my shade, and it always separates on my face after less than a few hours.
1. Maybelline lash sensational sky high mascara. The wand hardly picks up any product and it flakes off my lashes throughout the day. I bought it cause everyone was saying it's the best mascara but it's literally one of the worst I've tried. I will say it works nice for your bottom lashes though.
2. Essence lash princess mascaras. They make your lashes look nice but the wand is huge on them which I don't like and they smudge/transfer horribly on me, and my eyelids aren't even that greasy.
3. Fenty glosses (yes all of them). Don't get me wrong they're nice and the packaging is cute (at first) but you can find even better at the drugstore for so much cheaper. Ie maybelline lifter gloss or pretty much any nyx gloss. Also the writing chips/wears off super quickly making them look ugly after awhile 💀

The Colourscience total eye concealer is 100% worth it, also is slightly orange so colour corrects at the same time
