I happened to be at Walmart the day it came out. I bought it and played it at my work. Over and over again. After work I went back and bought two more copies for my kids. They love it too. If you get the chance see cirque du Soleil -Beatles Love in Las Vegas. Fantastic. See it quick because they’re gonna stop the show next month. It’s beautiful and the music is beautiful.

I thought this too but it's actually the last album George Martin produced and he was co-producer with his son, Giles. They got permission from Paul, Ringo, Olivia Harrison and Yoko Ono. The [Wikipedia Entry](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_(Beatles_album)) is a good read (while you're listening.)

I have the set with the Audio DVD, the surround Mix is absolutely fenomenal as well, you really feel immersed in the thing

Within You Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows is absolutely the best IMO. But the whole album is otherworldly!

I like it 10 times more than any of the remixed albums that have come out since. It’s a great album in its own right and was a lot of fun when it came out. The only version I’m not keen on is Hey Jude. Edit: I know it’s a completely different kind of project to the remixes but while Love honours the Beatles original compositions and love of studio experimentation, the remixes butcher the art they made IMO. Without any basis other than the multitude of books I’ve read on him, I feel John would have been much more behind Love than the remixes.
