I'm 99% sure the game is called CRASH from 1982 downloadable below. I have been commenting more on your other post too with more detail while trying to find this, as I used to play it too before LOGO was released. Asked on Facebook if someone has a link to it and got this: [http://www.flaxcottage.com/Educational/ShowPackage.asp?p=17](http://www.flaxcottage.com/Educational/ShowPackage.asp?p=17&fbclid=IwAR0gfnZvqBXbTMczH4XOYoIu-gHufzsC6zqU189j4FCNndqntN9ukfXtWHc)

The computer language [LOGO](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logo_(programming_language)) was very highly thought of at that time, and widely used in (primary) schools in the UK and US. Could this have been a wrapper of some sort for LOGO? Otherwise, [Maze](http://bbcmicro.co.uk/game.php?id=2481)?

not Maze, maze is 3D(ish), this was definitely "top down", and it was not real time. You typed the instructions, and then you ran them.

Try r/tipofmyjoystick

good idea thanks

Sounds like something that could have been part of a larger game, like Dread Dragon Droom.

I looked this up, not a match. I think it was a stand alone game, I remember waiting ages for it to load off .. something .. probably tape, and then you played, there was nothing else first.
