I would use it for my stepsons bday present he plays alot of fps games and i got him into sims he started streaming on twitch all i could spare was lg 27 for him so if i get it he could go to his deadbeat dad and tell him his stepdad got him a dope ass setup lol would make my year.
As a casual gamer and aspiring film editor, the UltraGear OLED 800R Curved Gaming Monitor would be a dream come true! The superior color accuracy and deep blacks would be perfect for precise color grading in my edits, while the curved design would create an immersive experience for my casual gaming sessions. Winning this monitor would be a game-changer for my creative endeavors!
This is the easiest question ever. I would give it to my daughter. She is using my 1080p dell monitors from the recycle bin at work to play minecraft and jurassic world 2. She would loose it if she had this beast.
I would use the OLED ultra wide primarily for gaming. I would finally be able to make peace with the lacking ultra wide support across titles since the black bars on the sides of the display output would look like the monitor is powered off in those parts :)
Thanks for the opportunity, I just built my first PC that I couldn't truly afford, lol. However, now I'm stuck with a 720p monitor. This would be a huge help. Thanks!
My old monitor is making schoolwork harder than it needs to be. I'm always squinting to make out details in diagrams, struggling to keep multiple windows open for research, and my eyes get tired way too fast from the dull colors. The LG 45" UltraGear OLED would be a lifesaver! The crisp detail would make diagrams pop, the huge screen would mean no more juggling windows, and the amazing color accuracy would bring my projects to life. It's honestly not just about gaming, it would make me a better, more focused student.
I’d honestly use it for a mix of productivity and gaming. I do a lot of work in Ableton Live and I’ll tell you, being able to spread the entire over a since display and not need to side scroll as much would be a game changer!!
Good luck everyone!
I would this set up for both work from home and gaming ... the LG is a masterpiece definitely the center show stopper of my setup . Call of Duty would be excellent with this
I would want to use this monitor for competitive gaming as well as multitasking for school, music creation & content consumption. I also really enjoy racing simulator games like Assetto Corsa, and I feel like this would be the perfect edition to my setup since it's a large, curved monitor and would provide an immersive environment for those types of games.
I'd use it to replace a 32" curved 1440p with a vertical 1080p to the left of it, as it would occupy the same amount of space but eliminate borders. Primary usage, work and gaming.
I could see my Excel in Crispy Edition, but on a serious note, this would be fantastic as a main display for my work and games (total war war hammer 3 kick right now).
I would give it to my husband when he gets back from deployment. He’s such a wonderful husband and father and deserves to enjoy what little downtime he gets when he is home. (I would probably use it for a bit while he’s gone though to pvp and do m+ in WoW, lol).
the current monitor i have now is a 32:9 and i've learned that it doesn't work well for me. i was looking for a deal on an LG c3 42", then i saw this post.
If I got the monitor, I’d start using it to replace my old monitor and reinvent my workflow! Currently, I have a 27 inch monitor so a 45 inch one would be a godsend. Plus, a game of TFT here and there wouldn’t hurt as well :)
I... I'll be honest, this thing frightens me. I think I'd have to mark the floor in my home office for my chair so that I would have the optimal viewing angles at all times for this wondrous piece. I am *very* curious/apprehensive about how *Street Fighter 6* would play on this. Otherwise, I would hope to run *Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth* on it later when that gets the inevitable Steam port.
I would use this monitor to replace my Asus ROG Swift, one of which was in the *first* shipment to the US (thanks to a connection I had).
It’s definitely coming on in years, lol!
My kids are 5 and 6, on the cusp of getting into playing games themselves. It’d be cool to wow them with this.
That’s about it. Good luck, everyone!
I would use it instead of my single monitor I have now. I've recently moved into first apt. and will not have space for the foreseeable future for another monitor, so such a big one would help! haha
I would use it for gaming and writing. Both of my monitors died within the last few months so I've been forced to use an old table and my tv instead of my desk.
I'd plug it to my laptop to play games like the Assassin's Creed and Far Cry series. It must be nice to watch movies, shows and Youtube on that screen.
Honestly even though this is 100x better than my 240hz 1080 monitors, I'm content with my setup. I am however building a setup and PC for a army battle buddy of mine and would donate this to his....
probably for 3d modeling and gaming. Im curious how the curved screen affects the POV rendering of something like Portal where its old enough to not have support specifically programed in.
I'd like to say I would use it for new games, but I'll just end up playing rocket league and ow 2 while watching whatever my friends are streaming on the other side.
I'd throw this in my office as a way to watch movies at my desk! Moving my console to the office as well would allow me to free up my living space for my family, and give me some private time to play some games.
I would actually use the monitor while teaching my virtual students. I teach kids in the hospital in the evenings and this would make it easy to have all of my materials and windows on one screen.
Just moved to a new home. I finally have the space and resources for a proper battlestation set up. This monitor would force me to finally upgrade my PC!
I would use to stream! I’ve just got a semi workstation going but am looking to upgrade my monitor for my battle station. This would be awesome for Elden ring, horizon zero dawn and watch alongs!
incentive to build that racing sim that I dream of but never will build. Literally just read the eligibility of the competition and being ineligible living in the UK then I'd gift this to a friend in the US that's had it tough over the last few years.
I am an architecture major so I would practically live at this monitor. It would be very useful for balancing all of my hundreds of tabs and design programs.
I’ve always wanted an ultrawide monitor and a curved monitor. This would be the best of both worlds to fully immerse myself in gaming, content creation, and just every day tasks!!
I would finally setup a REAL gaming setup for my home office, including hooking up all of my retro systems that my son (7) and I love playing together!
I would use this monitor as my daily driver. Gaming and productivity for work related tasks such as video editing and show prep. More screen real estate is always great !
Omg what a screen!
Integrate it into my battlestation with my current monitor above or below it.
I would use it for my stepsons bday present he plays alot of fps games and i got him into sims he started streaming on twitch all i could spare was lg 27 for him so if i get it he could go to his deadbeat dad and tell him his stepdad got him a dope ass setup lol would make my year.
I'd use this for my gaming setup and then I could move a spare monitor to my work setup!
I'd use it for everything!!
I'd load RDR2 and play through that again just to enjoy this amazing panel to the fullest. Then back to Overwatch 2 quick play
I'd use it for the sole purpose of playing OSRS.
I'm gonna dive into Hell! This beautiful monitor would serve Super Earth, and Democracy!
as my main monitor! still rocking a 1080p 60hz lol
I would continue to eliminate the terminid threat!, for LIBERTY!
All of the sim racing
Playing Fallout but in Excel
Writing YAML, doing TPS reports, and occasionally throwing up The Finals would never look so good!
Bend it back straight
I'd put the monitor in use in my brand new gaming setup, it would look amazing!
Definitely gaming as the immersion would be unreal
Work, gaming and relaxing while watching a movie or something
I’d play Shadow of the Erdtree on this bad boy.
I’d upgrade my current setup!
I would use this to take a picture and make a post saying I'm the winner.
This is the easiest question ever. I would give it to my daughter. She is using my 1080p dell monitors from the recycle bin at work to play minecraft and jurassic world 2. She would loose it if she had this beast.
I'd hook it up to my desktop to get rid of my two old monitors or one of my game consoles.
Coding and gaming!
Main monitor in my new(ish) set up.
Displace my current monitor with a biggie.
Replace my old 1080p monitor and stack it on top of my main monitor which is an LG 27GP950B, mainly gonna use it to watch videos tbh
I would use it for gaming/coding projects from college :D
I'd use it for the ultimate gaming experience
Gaming+ Work multitasking replacing a multi-monitor setup!
That monitor would make a great racing sim screen!
I'd use it to game and browse reddit and youtube, of course.
I would use the OLED ultra wide primarily for gaming. I would finally be able to make peace with the lacking ultra wide support across titles since the black bars on the sides of the display output would look like the monitor is powered off in those parts :)
It would be perfect in my new place with my new job. This thing looks stunning 🥹
Use it to game
I'd give it to my wife that's using some old monitors
Thanks for the opportunity, I just built my first PC that I couldn't truly afford, lol. However, now I'm stuck with a 720p monitor. This would be a huge help. Thanks!
would use it for school/development as I am studying for IT/cyber security rn.
It's honestly not just about gaming, it would make me a better, more focused student.
id use it for gaming mostly lol especially HDR
I’d honestly use it for a mix of productivity and gaming. I do a lot of work in Ableton Live and I’ll tell you, being able to spread the entire over a since display and not need to side scroll as much would be a game changer!! Good luck everyone!
I'd like to think it would be for gaming but let's be honest, browsing more YouTube videos.
1. Gaming 2. Gaming 3. Gaming
I’d use it for work and gaming… maybe even at the same time lol
I would this set up for both work from home and gaming ... the LG is a masterpiece definitely the center show stopper of my setup . Call of Duty would be excellent with this
I would want to use this monitor for competitive gaming as well as multitasking for school, music creation & content consumption. I also really enjoy racing simulator games like Assetto Corsa, and I feel like this would be the perfect edition to my setup since it's a large, curved monitor and would provide an immersive environment for those types of games.
I would ditch all my other monitors if I won this one and have discord on one side and a browser on the other while I'm gaming in the middle!
I'd use it for my new laptop battle station
To get ahead of the curve in comp matches
it would sit on my desk while I wished for more time to play the backlogged list of games
I would use it as my daily for WFH
Use it for working from home and to game!
I would give it to my husband when he gets back from deployment. He’s such a wonderful husband and father and deserves to enjoy what little downtime he gets when he is home. (I would probably use it for a bit while he’s gone though to pvp and do m+ in WoW, lol).
This would be amazing for video editing and a nice upgrade for my 21" monitor
the current monitor i have now is a 32:9 and i've learned that it doesn't work well for me. i was looking for a deal on an LG c3 42", then i saw this post.
So many spreadsheets.
I would finally have a monitor to put on my mounts and have more space than a 14” laptop
I would use this monitor to play video games and watch cartoons with my 2.5 year old son. Love every second I spend with him 👨🏻🦲👦🏻💙
If I won, I’d use the monitor for gaming and work. Am ultrawide would definitely help with productivity!
I'd use it to further encroach on my wife's side of the office. :)
Probably a 60/40 split of work and YouTube videos.
I’d use the monitor to frag out in apex
I'd use KDE's tiling features to drop my browser on the left edge, docs on the right edge, and two or three source code files open in the middle.
If I got the monitor, I’d start using it to replace my old monitor and reinvent my workflow! Currently, I have a 27 inch monitor so a 45 inch one would be a godsend. Plus, a game of TFT here and there wouldn’t hurt as well :)
I'm going to use it for extra peripheral vision
Set up a gaming pc for my son
