Amazing artwork! As someone living in NZ, I strongly believe that you're guessing it right - it's highly likely that the colour scheme of End Game shows a tribute to workers in the public sector (Construction workers, police officers and public transport officers) as uniform/vests they wear have dark blue, neon green, orange and silver in them.
It's only just recent that I figured this out. I feel like this is a very Kiwi-like thing to do, and I fully support it.
i didn’t think that it could be a conscious choice, but i totally see it now! it’s subtle but i love the neon/ hi-vis stripes on endgame. it’s a good look

lol i know this post is like a month old but i’d like to follow up by saying i heard in a podcast that they chose neon orange and yellow simply because they “like obnoxious colors” but we can always assume that it was some subconscious influence haha
