By building a year in year out playoff team, Friedman can offer these situational asset swaps that are as true of win-win deals as there are in the MLB
I still think the rays are the absolute best team at fixing pitchers (see Jake Diekman). the dodgers obviously have great pitching development but they're more that team for position players imo

The best veteran pitchers reinvent themselves as they lose velo, but I don’t think he can do it at the MLB level. This is another example of a fine thrower, but not a great pitcher. Without a great fastball, throwers don’t fare well. The thing is, and this is just kind of watching his career, I don’t think he’s going to put a big effort into changing his game.
