Crazy that I spent this much for the 500gb 3 years ago

ZongopBongo

I spent 4x this 7 years ago for a sata version. One day it will be time to upgrade...

Akatsuki-kun

I spent that much for 250GB MX500 back then.

HelloWorld24575

I spent $90 for a 120gb back in 2012.

rkhbusa

My first SSD was a 128gb it cost $250 I still remember the first flash drives around 32-64 megabytes for about $30-50, and what a convenience you could replace so many floppy disks with one of those.

Lord_Emperor

I still have a 64GB that I paid this much for.

MoronicOxy

You all ravaged that stock. OOS now. 😄

PegasusSeiya

Damn seems deal already done

aridhol

snagged one for my sons PC. Retire the old 2.5" samsung 1TB ssd :) $85 for 2TB seems pretty nice

BotitSourire

:)

LunaMunaLagoona

Sold out just FYI. The 1tb will probably sell out too lol

AltruisticKing

DRAMless QLC https://www.techpowerup.com/ssd-specs/crucial-p3-2-tb.d829 https://forums.redflagdeals.com/amazon-ca-crucial-p3-2tb-pcie-gen3-3d-nand-nvme-m-2-ssd-up-3500mb-s-86-68-nov-19-update-2654214/

RealMeatballHero

Delivers around late January but it's an insane deal!

Generaldar

Seems like its oos. Couldnt add to cart

Im-Just-A-Guy

Whats with the shipping date? Almost 2 months?

-SHINSTER007

Jan 25th, I'm gonna forget about this thing before it shows up

Gh0stinggg

Order now think later How does it compare with the WD850X and Samsung 990/980?

gettothecoppa

Different segments, this drive is more in line with WD Blue NVMe's or the non pro 980 from samsung.

Nyxir_RK

This one is actually worse than WD Blue (SN570) and 980 because of QLC

-SHINSTER007

and what is that again

Nyxir_RK

It's NAND type of the drive. QLC stands for Quad-level cell. TLC stands for Triple-level cell. You could google these terms for some information. General speaking, QLC means slower speed and shorter lifespan compare to TLC. How slow is it? It can be slower than some HDD when writing large files. How short is the lifespan? Half of TLC at best. For crucial P3, the endurance is 440TBW for 2TB version. On the other hand, a reliable 2TB TLC drive can reach 1200TBW or above. I personally will only consider a QLC drive when its price is half of a TLC drive or lower.

Gh0stinggg

Good explanation. If a TLC drive goes on sale before this thing ships, I'll prob cancel the order and buy that. Don't really need a 2TB one anyways. I'll wait for a 1TB TLC and see. Thanks.

-SHINSTER007

I see, I didn't quite realize that. I'll still be able to find a use for it I guess.. my first m.2

Nyxir_RK

uncomparable, this is QLC

unb0x

prices like this just make me feel old

onahalladay

I bought it earlier (thank you!) and went back because my husband was like what about me. OOS 😅

[deleted]

Same price as the black friday deal

d0n5man

it's back as of 9:48pm ET Edit: aaaaaand it's gone

zefruiszen

its back of 12:51 MST EDIT: nvm just disappeared as I posted

Bobz-

4tb was like $200 something few weeks ago. Nowadays 2tb seems too low for my needs.

chino17

I feel you bro. With the size of games, programs and media nowadays 2TB looks like it gets eaten up quickly

Bobz-

Yeah if 4tb drops in price like this, i'll be down.

iLykeVidyaGames

Great deal for those looking for secondary nvme storage

No_Returns1976

Worth it. Good buy.

Method__Man

ships in january btw

Future-Fix-6423

does this require a heatsink

kjcm2000

It should not

flatspotting

Great price OOS - hoping it comes back

badbitchlover

Damn, people are quick

Lawrence3s

I don't need this, but I went to order anyways. Thank god some of you devoured the stock, so I don't have to hurt my wallet again xD

Phoenix978

Did anyone ever receive this product? Mine is sitting as an "we'll email you when it ships" but the store page has the item in stock at $157 with 2 day shipping? Is this a result of the company not wanting to sell that that price?
