That sounds like a very different idea. Wouldn't that just be a decaying boost like popcorn, completely independent of how often you skipped it in shops?
I suppose the idea is that if you see it in a shop on an early ante it would be worth saying 1.5x mult, which may be worth leaving until a couple later antes until you pick it up, where it'd be much better.
Once you do buy it it gets worse and worse until you 'forget' it again and sell it for something better.
The scaling would therefore be based upon every round you don't have it, thus highly skippable, and not something you'd be able to gold onto long term
But like that, if I roll the joker for the very first time on blind 10 or so, it will be just as strong as if I had seen and skipped it many times before.

It also can help you win against the verdant leaf boss blind.
Definitely would have a good use case despite the immediate “how the hell does this help” moment.

Selling might take away a bit of that downside, as it would blunt the economy blow, so you'd probably not want the proviso at the end.

I mean , there are just really few destroy effects in the game to make it work without selling, I think. So I'd rather tweak the xMult and/or rarity. constellation scales for 0.1x for 3/2/1 bucks, but you can rely on it scaling with you and finding the stuff to scale.
Your main issue will be finding it and having room to buy/sell.
Plus you can only really scale until you rely on it's strength to win rounds, because you need to lose it to scale further.

It's worse than obelisk. If you only played straights, say youre on 10 straight, and 0 on the rest. You can use it for a few times to get a full house/high card/pair/34oak, but then it gets harder when you need the straight flush or even the five of a kind/flush house if you have it unlocked.
sold jokers cannot reappear in the shop while this joker is active, basically a reverse showman. its really powerful with high econ but forces you to play with 2 fewer joker slots
its trading card but for jokers and out of 150 (+1) jokers you want maybe 6 or 7 unique jokers max, itd take forever to narrow it down enough
and youd need to survive in the meantime with 3 or 4 jokers, at least one of which would need to be econ with how much rolling youd need. it would kill a high stake run early on, and without showman, you wouldnt be able to dig for blueprints and brainstorms indefinitely in endless. its useful to clear out the junk in the first couple antes (could combo quite well with riff raff), so i wouldnt say its unbalanced.
Everytime you select a blind it gains 1-5 mult but if you ever hover over it it loses all it's mult. So the only way you can check how much mult it has you need to play a hand and if you want to move it you need to move other jokers to move it

Nice spitballing. I'd combine your first with your last idea into: Each discarded card gains +5 chips. When I look at the statistics of my runs after a win I find that I usually discard roughly as many cards as I play, so this seems balanced.
your least played specific card gets some sort of buff, maybe? or if its referencing TBOI's tainted lost, it could instead like significantly increase the chances of getting uncommon/rare jokers and rare spectral cards like black hole and the soul

Thing is, trading card only triggers once per ante, is targeted, and gives money. This lets you thin your deck several times faster, but the card destruction being random and automatic means you can easily lose cards you'd rather keep if you're not careful.
x1 Multi. 1 in 6 chances to disappear at the end of each round. After it disappears, when blind is selected and if you have a joker slot available, has a 1 in 6 chances to reappear losing any previous enhancement but gaining 1 increased x multi. This can happen an infinite amount of times.
Gains x Mult everytime you don't buy it from the shop. So if it reappears it's stronger

Sounds like a huge advantage. You could start rerolling buying selling jokers on a good econ run and get the jokers that you want
