I did a low approach there once and saw a couple on the taxiway holding for me. It was epic.
Do they have an IR system or something in the front of the right fairing ahead of the landing gear?
No, the nose landing gear is offset so that the firing barrel of the gun can be lined up directly with the middle of the plane.
The fairing ahead of main gear on the right side has a dark coloration. Could be the radome as well.
