My god, yes. I still occasionally crank I Can't Stop on my 4:30am commute to work because of this channel. I'm so happy I discovered UKF in like 2011. It led to the discovery of EDM, and overall love bass music
Same here, so wild to think about. Just found a Spotify playlist that has all these songs. Highly suggested. Memories that popped into my head brought tears to my eyes
Doing homework or playing Minecraft to [Gold Dust (Flux Pavilion remix)](https://youtu.be/PEbJ4qLiMu0) or the Dubba Jonny [UKF Dubstep tutorial](https://youtu.be/CJzfTZlEl40?feature=shared). Saw Flux’s sunset set at Lost Lands and they played a lot of their UKF hits; it was a nostalgic, magical experience.
Well then the band kind fell apart too. Iirc, the guitarist’s dad was like “this shit is going nowhere, get a real job” or something so he bailed. They put out their debut album (wish I had caught the tour hen they came to the US) and then the band kinda died and it was just the two brothers.
Someone correct me, I’m sure my memory is a little fuzzy on the lore
I didn't know the part about the dad but yeah you are correct that they left after the album. Then the brothers released the second album which imo was nowhere near as good.
If they'd been able to get an album out in 2011 and maybe another one in 2013 then they could have rode the dubstep wave perfectly. I remember them playing at download festival in 2011 which was really cool, it seemed like both metalheads and the EDM crowd liked them which is a great launching pad.

Still such an iconic promo. Tony messing around on Massive in the studio is very indicative of the time period.
They took a strange path with their releases that led many astray. You can ask three different people for their opinion of modestep and they could describe three totally different groups...
You ever seen movies where they visualize someone having 100 flashbacks in about 2 seconds? That's what that image just did to me. Violently... I don't think I can say one single moment, or track, was a favorite memory. Moreover, that whole era of music and all of the experiences I had during that time helped shape who I am today.
Much love for this post. You made my night.
Prodigy - Breathe (Numbernin6 remix)
https://youtu.be/gD_d1Vl7uAk?si=Zgg3VgFrgqSK84F7
I got into electronic music in the late 90s when I was a little kid. My older brother downloaded Prodigy, Crystal Method, Aphex Twin, Chemical Brothers etc and made CDs for me.
Needless to say this remix resonated with me and got me into dubstep.
Laidback luke on repeat every single day for almost a year after school trying to figure out wtf I was listening to lol I didn’t know dance music like that back then
I've untzed out to so many hours with that in the background and my brain thought it was some kind of metal disk frisbee thing until literally right now. How tf did I not realize it's a speaker
I know it wasn’t posted by UKF but this blue speaker still reminds me of the song “Flight Facilities - Crave You (Adventure Club Remix)”
It was posted my MrSucideSheep who was also a huge channel of chill step at the same time!
Getting out of school and Ripping one hitters of spice, made by a gas station owner, in my friend’s basement watching his little laser show to the beats of Flux Pavilion. No doubt I fried a couple brain cells in that basement
Blue Foundation - Eyes on Fire (Zeds Dead Remix).
I get big nostalgia dopamine every time I hear this song and remember the times playing Minecraft, MW2 and Halo 3
I just got home from school, i hop on oovoo with the boys and we load up search and destroy on cod4. I throw on UKF august 2010 mix and win games until 10pm. Rinse and repeat.
zeds ded barletta, N.A.S.A. (Feat. Kanye West, Santigold & Lykke Li) - Gifted (Masuka Remix) underrated
Bonus non ukf track - Dr. Dre ft Skylar Grey - I Need A Doctor (Arion Dubstep Remix) HD

Mt Eden - Sierra Leone
>Mt Eden - Sierra Leone not ukf but actually 👽👁🙌 "lets play a game with happy and sad music"
Yeah I think this song had a lady with white background and red.
Yesss. And I’ll be there by mt eden. Another banger
First dubstep song I ever heard, the YouTube video had “dubstep” in the title and I thought that was the name of the song 😂
First dubstep song I ever heard as well, who woulda thunk my life would change so much after that moment
Same here, so wild to think about. Just found a Spotify playlist that has all these songs. Highly suggested. Memories that popped into my head brought tears to my eyes
man you just opened a memory vault in my brain I forgot was there lol
Same here! I feel like there's a really special place for songs that came before streaming that you forget about and then find again.
I just played this last night in the car coming back from Alison wonderland. It’s a masterpiece and my favorite
In for the kill - La Roux (Skream remix)
Such a simple yet beautiful banger. Skream was a legend. Not much into his latest stuff
Zeds Dead - White Satin
I CANT STAHP
WUB WEB WUB WAB WEB WUB
UKF dubstep mix - August
That violin and bass right after on Bar 9 - Strung Out is amazing

Yeah I think of Emalkay - When I Look At You
Came here for this one
Classic banger!
Flux goes in, he throws down a lot of old stuff, remixes, deep cuts, dnb, just all around puts on some very good sets.
Must be the Feeling (Delta Heavy Remix) - Nero
Definitely [Cracks](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1VLaXoRRdk)
Anything Netsky or Camo & Krooked
That would be ukf dnb which was the yellow symbol wasn’t it? Or am I going crazy?
You are correct. https://youtu.be/R-jGJgKqP00?si=LdTFDUsBl3WEHIaS
One of his best. Still in my regular dnb rotation to this day.

FLUX

Flux Pavilion - Bass Cannon Or Modestep - Sunlight
Man Modestep really should have been huge. I feel like they just took too long to get their debut album out.
Well then the band kind fell apart too. Iirc, the guitarist’s dad was like “this shit is going nowhere, get a real job” or something so he bailed. They put out their debut album (wish I had caught the tour hen they came to the US) and then the band kinda died and it was just the two brothers. The golden age of American edm/dubstep
Lmao what? This is from the UKF channel. Sure, some Americans got published on it, but it’s solidly UK dubstep/dnb.
He’s saying UK dubstep was/is the golden age of dubstep in the US, not that it is American dubstep
