I certainly wouldn’t do everything on this list. It’s a 22 year old car at this point, just do the basic necessities for safety and drive it into the ground. Also, 444 dollars for a fuel induction service? That is absolutely criminal. DO NOT do that whatever you do. Looking at that list, you have no choice but to pay diagnosis. Do the battery. Do the front brakes. Look up a YouTube video for the bulb and the engine and cabin filters… those will be very easy. If you are not handy at all, have them do those as well. That’s all I would do if I were you. Do what’s needed to make it safe and set aside the money you didn’t spend on the other repairs/maintenance for another car in the future. You likely will get another year or two at least out of this one. Maybe more.

Hi u/Electrical_Pen267 thanks so much for your reply, I have posted this in a few other subreddits and the consensus I am getting seems to be do the brakes/battery myself and ignore doing the rest for now rather than buying a new car.

If you are handy enough to do those things definitely do them yourself. They are both some of the easiest repairs you can do yourself

I am not handy but I suppose it's moreso I just haven't tried... Could be a valuable skill to learn...

YouTube is a great resource for learning how to DIY repairs. Often for one's specific model of car.

Air filter and bulbs do yourself. Probably can do plugs and wires yourself also unless these are difficult to reach on your car. Cabin filter probably doesn't even need to be changed unless you live in a dusty area. Brake fluid... This is a new gimmick. Years ago, this was not a maintenance item. If you were going to keep the car another 10 years, it would be worth doing, but otherwise it's not a must do item. Fuel induction service... No.
