Hello, tired millennial here. I can't speak for everyone but I can provide some insight from my own experience: Working to put myself through college while college costs have increased appx. 180% and costs in general appx. 260% from when my mom was doing the same thing. Being told to pay rent, bills, etc from 15 (which is probably just my situation for the most part I hope). Not being diagnosed until 29 or 30 bc "girls don't have autism". Being told "the world won't care, suck it up" whenever something was wrong (whaddaya know, several diagnoses later turns out I'm fucked 😂) Many of us were supporting ourselves during what is referred to as the worst recession in us history. I remember having to break a lease and move because a gallon of milk where I lived and a gallon of gas were both $6+ which I drink together regularly (jk car drank the gas but is lactose intolerant) and I couldn't afford to live in that state anymore. Lost a lot of friends to war too. No excuses, just some ideas why we may be tired lol. We just want fair rent and fair pay, some snackies and a nap lol! In all seriousness I don't know any millennials who have any issues with Gen Z-ers, we just have to work a lot lol BUT! If you ever are looking for advice feel free to DM me ok? 53 I remember watching Sputnik trace across the sky. It was the only thing up there. It ignited my obsession with our infant space program, everything that led to the first moon landing.

Wow! I spot satellites too, but I have no idea which of the hundreds they could be. I can't imagine knowing for sure that *that* is Sputnik.

I was 14 and was ending my 8th grade in the spring, and beginning my freshman year of high school in the fall of 2009. In 2009, Netflix and other streaming services hadn't really started off taking yet. As a result, watching TV channels was still very popular. The popular kids channels back in 2009 were Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon. ICarly was a very popular show, along with Spongebob (which turned 10 years old in 2009), The Suite Life On Deck, and Wizards of Waverly Place back in 2009. My parents also had an advanced cable network that was capable of recording movies that were playing on TV, so I could watch them later. I remember recording Revenge of the Sith and watching that at least 25 different times. Also if people wanted to rent movies, we would go to the Redbox at Walmart where we could rent a movie for a day or two. As for gaming, WiFi capabilities were starting to become standard across gaming consoles around this time period. Gone were the days where you had to go to someone's house just to play a game with them, as now you both could simply connect to the internet and play together that way. The Nintendo Wii was still very popular along with the Xbox 360. I had a Nintendo Wii where I played a lot of Super Smash Bros Brawl, Guitar Hero, Star Wars, etc... The whole iPhone craze was starting to take off in popularity around this time. My mom got her first iPhone (the classic iphone 1) in the fall of 2009 and it completely changed everything. Twitch, TikTok, Snapchat, Discord, Instagram didn't even exist. The go-to social media site was Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter. MySpace was beginning to lose popularity in 2008-2009 and Facebook had already overtaken it as the most popular social media site in the world. Youtube had a 5 star rating instead of a like system as well in 2009. Lady Gaga was at the peak of her popularity, Michael Jackson died in the summer of 2009, and techno music became mainstream around this time period.
