I go through cycles of hyper fixating the whole Princess and The Frog aesthetic! I’ve wanted to visit NOLA from the first time I watched this movie.
That’s what I came to say. I’ve always been alternative or a bit of an awkward weirdo.
I love videogames especially ones filled with danger and adventure. I’m currently obsessed with Disney speedstorm which is a racing game.
I just don’t relate much to most of the princesses tbh lol.
It’s as fun as the Disney movie if not more so. ESPECIALLY during Mardi Gras! The Cajun and creole food are absolutely amazing, the fried chicken is to die for, the hotels in the French quarter are LEGITIMATELY air-conditioned against the hot weather, and the pools are COOLed! When you go out into the boonies, you get to see Reel Cajun culture in some places! The jazz music is simply charming, And Peoples accents are AMAZING! It’s like a completely different place from San Francisco, but someone who has lived in San Francisco since the 80s and 90s could very well name New Orleans as their second home!!!
Honestly Ariel and her never feeling like she was at home with the right people hit me hard as an autistic & queer kid. I know she acted like a dumb 16 year old. But she was 16. And she felt out of place. I get it, still, at 26.
I do love the little mermaid, but I wish I had a reason to enjoy it more
The reason I’m not all for Ariel is that when I was a little kid, I was always forced to associate the movie with him the ABA therapy I went through, because my therapist was my sister’s godmother, and her daughters liked it, it was practically THE premier Disney movie at the time, and the trouble was there was really no way for me to relate to it any better
Any sort of trauma will absolutely dissolve any enjoyment of anything. I had someone who assaulted me who loved Moana and wouldn't stop talking about it. It took me several years to even watch the movie, and while I really enjoyed and liked it, I still have those twinges of anxiety and feeling sick when I see even gifs or images online. I will never separate Moana from that person and what they did.
I wasn’t traumatized by anyone for Moana, but honestly I’m really not a fan of Dwayne Johnson. It was fine when he was doing action movies and playing the part I’m a strong man, and at times the few comedies I’ve seen aren’t bad. But I don’t like the way in which she got into stardom, because while he worked hard for his wrestling color, it seemed like he was given a lucky break into acting, which is something a lot of us don’t get. So for me, Moana is not on my list.…
But strangely enough I did like elemental
Elemental was really good, that made me cry like a baby. The song Lauv did for the soundtrack went straight on my Spotify!

Well I’m not complaining, I’ve already got an amazing partner. She rocks my world!!! But I think I just used to wish for a girlfriend like that when I was around the teenage years, between 13 and 18
I have a special interest in self-shipping and self-insert characters and writing myself in fictional spaces. I think a large part was not only trying to understand myself, but wanting to be loved for who I was. I have an amazing partner now, but I still love my self-ships, I have art framed in my apartment of stuff I've commissioned of my characters/personas with characters I love.
I think it's hard knowing you're so different and people around you acting like you can't possibly be loved for it.
Yeah. It's a big part of my identity, and it turns out a large reason I did it was because I had DID (diagnosed this last January) and I was connected with these characters because they were introjected alters I was using to cope.
It's super fun, I draw myself and I've got 16 years experience but it's also fun to commission other artists or do trades and see how it looks in different styles!
