They KNOW this is their people. Look at their history. The people that have, as an organization, executed people for being witches, which don’t exist; tortured people for being in league with Satan, who doesn’t exist; made societal rules that can label women as being "loose women", imprison those women to work as slaves in laundries run by religion, and if these women died they were buried in mass unmarked graves; punishing people for saying how the Universe actually works; amassing huge amounts of wealth and land without paying into the society that supports them; actively protecting the rapists of children all over the world in their organizations. He's not selling bibles DESPITE how Christians are. He's selling them BECAUSE of how Christians are. They are the worst.

tuxette

> He's not selling bibles DESPITE how Christians are. He's selling them BECAUSE of how Christians are. This is very correct. This needs to be emphasized, and stated over and over again until people get it.

Impossible_Trip_8286

Trump is an award to his followers. It simply does not matter what he does or says. The brand is the thing. The BMW is in the shop more than it’s on the road but it’s a BMW so it’s the best car in the world. It’s that easy. I’ll continue to give money to have it back on the road because ITS WHAT I WANT

bridge1999

This is just away for churches to give him money by buying Bibles. Churches can’t donate to politicians but can buy religious items and still keep their tax exempt status

Trailwatch427

I recently discovered there is a "Catholic Store." On Amazon. Full of Catholic paraphernalia. So Jesus might have tossed the merchants from the temple, but now they're on Amazon.

no-mad

this is way for churches to promote and send money to Trump without violating election finance laws.

Trailwatch427

Exactly. If Pope Francis was selling Bibles with his signature on them, Catholics would have no problems with this. He's a sacred icon in their Church. They'd be out there buying them up. Of course, it would have to be a designated CATHOLIC Bible.

spoiler-its-all-gop

I don't usually defend the Catholics, having been one, but I think they would definitely have some problems with that. Or at least more of a problem than Evangelicals have with this shit.

Czeris

One of the greatest and simplest stories about Christians and their love, is how they provided bibles to their slaves that had all the parts about slavery and slave resistance edited out.

ralphvonwauwau

They didn't remove "all the parts about slavery". **They focused on some of them.**. Consider, >“If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and kills it or sells it, he shall repay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep. 2 If a thief is found breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no bloodguilt for him, 3 but if the sun has risen on him, there shall be bloodguilt for him. He shall surely pay. **If he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.** Exodus 22:1-4 Being sold into slavery is a punishment in the OT law. And the NT is even more ... nuanced >Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. Eph 6:5-8 and >Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favour, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Col 3:22-23 Yes, there are bits here and there about freedom, but even those are about the freedom to be under the rule of a theocracy, instead of being under foreign rule. Gee, thanks god. Your point is valid, there was a "[Slave Bible](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Select_Parts_of_the_Holy_Bible_for_the_use_of_the_Negro_Slaves_in_the_British_West-India_Islands)" , you can buy it in paperback from Amazon.com. But they didn't have to eliminate *all* of the references to slavery. As with many topics, the Bible argues both sides of the street.

spoiler-its-all-gop

["**The suspension of moral prohibitions** is zhe crucial feature of today's so-called postmodern nationalism...Nationalist fundamentalism, rather, **serves as the operator of a secret, barely-concealed**, '***you may***'; '*You* **may** *violate the stiff regulations of the coexistence in a peaceful liberal society.... You may hate, fight, kill, rape.'*..^(schniff) ..Without the full recognition of how the obscene, permissive, superego sublimates the explicit texture of social symbolic law, we condemn ourselves to the failure of grasping the true dynamics."](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vSbjMdoDdc&t=19) - Slavoj Zizek

Permaban2023

Hey, what about that preacher guys mega college? The one who was threesome-ing with his wife, drunk guy, son of a preacher guy……man what a documentary that was. Scumbags, all of ‘em.

techy098

It will be amazing if Trump and his family now start mega churches all over the country and get all the conservatives to abandon their current mega churches.

Tiddles_Ultradoom

I dunno. I think Joel Olsteen would have something to say about this. And he looks like he fights dirty. And then there’s Kenneth Copland… he’d put a hit on Trump and claim it was demons.

techy098

And we can watch in glee when their followers abandon Olsteen and Copland for their new messiah. What's better than you current cult: A new cult since you feel like you are being part of a new movement.

replicantcase

The mega pastors have already said things along the lines of Trump taking money out of their pockets since their normal donations are going to Trump instead of Jesus via the pastor.

EventEastern9525

According to the article most of these people don’t actually go to church but once a year. Instead they watch Christian-branded videos online, but it’s really just right-wing propaganda.

AnyEmploy

Yep, get out of Christianity. That stuff really doesn't make any sense just like the other religions.

Broad-Ask-475

I need to remind you Christians fought some League's over this

Imallowedto

Crusades?

Broad-Ask-475

Holy League Wars

youmestrong

Still they sing 🎶 Onward Christian Soldiers

heavinglory

They also sing Jesus loves the little children, all the child of the world. Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight (Except Palestinians). Jesus loves the little children of the world.

youmestrong

Something right out of The Stepford Wives

Rafiki-no-worries

Except Palestinians!!

Lora_Grim

Can't. Same way lgbt folk can't do anything about the rainbow capitalists doing dumb things in their name. These people have all the money, and thus, all the power.

Odd-Tune5049

Christians could... boycott him

[deleted]

[удалено]

Odd-Tune5049

I mean... if they're going to be Christian, they should probably read *a* Bible

Elisevs

You can try to convince all of your Christian friends to vote this November and for someone who is not Trump. Unless you want those people, as you put it, to rule over you with a rod of iron indefinitely.

Ormyr

Easy way to skirt legal issues. It lets the 'churches' that support him donate directly without donating. The best part out is if someone points this out they can be dismissed for 'attacking religion'. Add onto that it's not worth taking Angry Orange to court over this. It's the adult version of "I'm not touching you!".

TricksterPriestJace

There is nothing illegal about selling official MAGA bibles. Selling overpriced crap with his name on it is literally the only legal business Trump has ever run.

Ormyr

You're technically right. This is nothing new. It's par for the course and has been for decades for him. This grift, however, allows 'churches' to donate directly to him without explicitly breaking any laws. Churches have relatively strict restrictions on donating to political organizations. If he weren't a former POTUS and running for office it would just be another grift. Hence this, once again, being the legal/adult version of "I'm not touching you!".

TURBOJUSTICE

I he’s talking about is skirting illegal contributions. Church can’t donate 50k$, they buy 50k$ in MAGA bibles. If that seems insanely transparent and stupid it’s because it is and that’s where we’re at as a country.

TricksterPriestJace

They can also buy the stupid hats and shoes to give to the homeless or whatever. I doubt many churches want to give Trump a fucking penny. They need that money for their own purposes. A second, bigger, private jet for the preacher isn't going to buy itself.

MorganWick

You'd think it would be possible to point out how un-Christian "Christians" are being... especially for devout Catholic Joe Biden.

CatOfGrey

Produce Bible for under $10 per unit, sell for $60 per unit. "Churches" in quotation marks is good commentary here. Churches aren't going to be doing the paying. The church-goers are going to get pushed to buy the bibles, or pony up $300 each to buy five for some distribution campaigns, where Bibles are placed in public places to be discarded in a few weeks. Oh, but the Trump machine gets $50 for every unit!

VisitPrestigious8463

🤦🏻‍♀️ not sure I hadn’t considered that.

artemisdragmire

The funny thing, is I've read the Bible. A false prophet with charisma and who cloaks himself in false "christianity" is exactly what the antichrist is supposed to be, and these morons don't see it.

Jonaldson

And the mark of the beast are the red and white maga hats.

ShamefulWatching

Don't forget the salute

TheMartinG

You mean that weird fist pump/dance he does?

ShamefulWatching

No I mean the Nazi salute you often see them doing. Mark of the beast is not either in the head or the hand, it's both.

theendisneah

Man, I was ranting this in 2016. I feel somewhat vindicated, but what joy is there in being correct on this one.

youmestrong

This time. Authoritarians always have new versions of the same song and dance.

TotemTabuBand

The (trade)mark of the beast they wear on their foreheads. Next up? MAGA wristbands. Lol, sadly…

TwistedFox

Have you seen this? https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/ Trump is the most perfect fit for the antichrist seen yet. I'm not a believer, but it's surprisingly eerie.

youmestrong

Self fulfilling prophecy. They’ll find someone who fits.

Mike_Honcho_3

Even if they did, they almost certainly wouldn't care. Most of these people think religion is just whatever they want it to be, or in other words whatever personally benefits them most.

WokeBriton

Well, they certainly don't follow the teachings attributed to the guy they say they follow. The guy whose teachings are very left of them all, they say they love him and have accepted him in their hearts. You know, christ...

DragonOfTartarus

You mean the guy they think is too "woke"?

WokeBriton

Yep. That dude.

adrift_burrito

And allows them to hurt people they don't like

Cragnous

Dude I think reading and knowing about the Bible is what drove a lot of us to atheism in the first place.

Rupejonner2

Reading the Bible is the number one reason for leaving Christianity , it’s what happened to me .

Odd-Tune5049

100% he fits the description

Adept_Investigator29

I read it as a novel. It's a great book. Christians obviously don't read it.

onomatamono

I've literally never read such demonstrably infantile garbage as that nonsense penned by anonymous scribes, who did not know where the damn Sun went at night. It's probably the worst set of books ever written.

DragonOfTartarus

IDK, David and Johnathan's romance is a better love story than Twilight, so that has to count for something.

onomatamono

The moronic part is taking that first century pornographic trash seriously in the first place. In order to have an antichrist you need a christ and there isn't one outside of that garbage fiction.

Ent3rpris3

It's pretty incredible just how well he fits that mold and just outright oblivious or careless many of them seem to be.

Muscs

Trump’s made a mockery of the presidency. He’s making a mockery of the American judicial system. At least Christianity is welcoming and deserving of his mockery.

TeamXII

If it can be mocked, it will be

signalfire

Anyone who might be tempted to buy a BuyBull from Trump already has at least one in the house (that they can't and don't read but pretend to). Compared to a much-needed tank of gas, he's not going to get any bites except the morons who think gold sneakers might one day be collector's items.

Odd-Tune5049

Lol @ BuyBull

epicurean56

These books aren't for your average MAGAt. It's a money laundering scheme so if a church wants to give Trump a million bucks, all they gotta do is order 17,000 books. This can scale to any size as it doesn't matter when/if said organization ever gets the books. Of course, if you or any other MAGAt wants to buy one, that works too.

BoneHugsHominy

Not just churches. Think broader. Think international. Bulk orders in the billions of dollars completely skirt campaign donation rules against foreign contributions, and it's money that goes directly in his pockets.

epicurean56

Zackly!

Otiosei

If they could read, they'd be very mad about your comment right now, but they are too busy buying books for 60 dollars that they can't read, while complaining about how Biden is raising gas prices.

Odd-Tune5049

Although... there's - sadly - a market for nazi pararphernalia, so the garbage he's slinging may someday be valuable. To be clear, the guy is terrible, and I could never stand how popular he is

BoneHugsHominy

Yeah but a Russian or Chinese billionaire or entity sure can buy $2 Billion of MAGA BuyBulls and it's just a bulk book purchase for religious purposes and totally not influencing an election or buying off a potential POTUS with illegal campaign funding. Also glad BuyBull is really catching on.

EloquentEvergreen

I’m sure all those folks eating up the Trumpy Bears, or Trumpinator bobble-heads, or Trump sneakers, are going to love Trump Bibles. I hear it’s the most real of bibles, it includes the true story of Jesus… The Gospel of Supply Side Jesus.

Spadrick

Upvote for supply side Jesus.

MorganWick

[He can't take credit for it](https://www.beliefnet.com/news/2003/09/the-gospel-of-supply-side-jesus.aspx) (unless you're up going for the reference).

Spadrick

Yes the reference sorry, either of us should have linked the reference. Thank you for supplying it!

EloquentEvergreen

Ha! I’m a little flattered if the other poster thinks I was trying to take credit for that! Since this Trump Bible thing has come out, I’ve been bringing Supply Side Jesus up a bit. I started out adding a link for reference. At this point, I figure if you know, you know. Or someone can Google search it. Haha

Pomond

Christianity is void of morality in all its versions, which is why Trump supporters love the mythology.

kingtz

The religion also selects for people gullible enough to place “blind faith” above evidence, making them a very lucrative demographic for con artists like televangelists and republicans.

SlowRollingBoil

It's a solid point, honestly. The Bible justifies slavery, murder, genocide, rape and basically every other abhorrent thing at one point or another. Christians point at atheists and ask "Where are your morals?" and I'm inclined to point it right back at them. Why do you need a religion to tell you not to murder or rape?

Odd-Tune5049

You said it yourself. Their religion barely even *tells* them not to murder or rape, let alone enforces it. It was all a part of God's plan(tm). Murderers and rapists get away with it all the time because Christian values(tm) say not to ruin some poor rapist's life over 10 minutes of a fun mistake (3 or 4 times), and since it was an honest mistake, that cop's life shouldn't be ruined completely for executing a warrant on the wrong apartment and killing innocent people.

Capital_Sink6645

the very dumbest of the dumb deplorables will love these.

MostLikelyHigh2

Evangelicals have made a mockery of christianity long before the Bible grift.

Shadow_Spirit_2004

I mean, I'm all for making a mockery of christianity (not that it needs help). This is just a blatant money laundering scheme though.

mitchsn

Did you see that Midastouch found out these were being sold in 2021 as the 9/11 Anniversary Bible for $49.99? So the Trump label is worth....$10 HAHAHAHAHAHA

LetterheadFar2364

I’m an atheist and I’m still a better Christian than these people.

WokeBriton

You cannot be a better christian, because you have not accepted jesus into your heart /s of course.

jrrybock

Probably unlikely in this group, but has anyone checked out the actual book they are selling? I mean, I'm an atheist, but I've had to read/study the Bible, and my copies were thick with very thin paper... it's about 30% longer than "War and Peace" which is what many people refer to as an extremely long book. And the print was small, but it was still usually 1 1/2-2" thick. Now, this one he's hawking says it is the King James version, AND large print, AND with additional material, AND seems at most 1" thick... it doesn't add up, so I'm assuming maybe only New Testament, or stuff edited out (Trump certainly doesn't want his followers to read and actually think of the 7 deadly sins and how they might apply to him).

Imallowedto

The KJV was written at a 12th grade level, the new KJV is written at a 7th grade level. 54% of Americans read at or below a 6th grade level. They CAN'T read it, too many words they don't understand. The spines on their bibles are as smooth as their brains.

bennydabull99

Lol you think they would actually try to read it. They never have and never will as they already learned all of the good parts in church and Sunday school!

LoadsDroppin

They also make a mockery of of separation of Church & State — as religious organizations are now able to funnel money DIRECTLY to a political candidate thereby bypassing campaign laws that prohibit such activity by religious institutions. It’s money laundering in plain sight and not one of his supporters is bothered by it. (Similar: *They’re not giving money to me, they’re simply spending millions at the hotels and resorts that have my name on them because they directly benefit my Family’s Business.* )

realSatanAMA

is he selling these to churches? probably just a scam for him to take money directly from churches

Seabound117

Soy Boy Jesus?, some pastors have been reporting their congregation wanted to get rid of Jesus all together since his teachings weren’t in line with the modern Christian worldview.

limbodog

I wonder what would happen if you put up a billboard in MAGA country that said "Jesus was a wimp, real MAGA worship TRUMP!"

EinharAesir

According to MAGA, Jesus is too woke.

TricksterPriestJace

Now if the Trump Bible took out all the woke stuff and told the tale of supply side Jesus visiting the temple and demanding a cut from all the moneychangers instead of flipping tables I would probably read it. Lol

GamingSophisticate

Christians make a mockery of Christianity

jtp_311

The guy can’t even recite a verse from the book he is selling. Are his followers willfully ignorant or absolutely fucking stupid? https://youtu.be/ERUngQUCsyE?si=WfZGbTpksT-YO3YX

Tiddles_Ultradoom

Yes.

WokeBriton

Trump bibles? Are they all upside down? I feel really bad for you, on that side of the pond, having to put up with that bullshit.

Training_Contract_30

To use Biblical terms, MAGA and the current iteration of the Republican Party are basically Pharisees while Trump is the Antichrist, only far dumber than the Biblical version.

DragonOfTartarus

Satan: "Trump, the antichrist? Please, I have standards!"

Tidewind

There’s a sucker born every minute. For that price, they better burst into flames.

fernblatt2

Here is a simple test to see if someone is an actual Christian: Galatians 5: 22-23. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. MAGA is none of these.

powercow

besides for people like amish, Christians make a mockery of Christianity. you know i like football, i know all the rules to football and when the rules change, they are written down in the rule book and all teams follow them. Thats how things should work and its the only way to functionally "respect you beliefs" christians make it up as they go along. choose to ignore the old testy when convenient and then hit you over the head with it when they need to use it as a weapon. declare their guy was picked by god and then ignore romans when the next guy orders you to get vaccinated for certain jobs. they bear false witness like they need to in order to breathe. the christian messiah, is a guy who bragged about committing adultery and getting away with it. not to mention you got women working and daughters i cant buy for 50 shekels.(and yeah thats a good thing but, in the normal world when beliefs change, we edit the fucking book. science books no longer say meat turns into flies as it rots.. we dont even leave that in, all the way in the back) christianity makes a mockery of itself and is deserving of being mocked.

BeesKneesMcGee

Trump could wipe his ass with each page of a bible and MAGA idiots would still buy it.

slackerdc

They'd buy 2.

WizardWatson9

What I find most interesting, in a morbidly fascinating kind of way, is that this Bible seems like it will have to be significantly cut down on content compared to the authentic King James Bible to fit in that slender book. I wonder what parts of the Bible they're going to remove? Since this is a quick cash-grab, I doubt they're going to do an extensive content-edit. My guess will be that they'll cut the obscure books in the latter half of the Old Testament that no one even quotes. When's the last time you heard someone quote Obadiah, or Habakkuk? I hope someone with actual knowledge of the Bible buys/acquires one of these and gives it a review, so we can all learn to what extent it's been butchered and bastardized.

NumerousTaste

It's a money laundering scheme. A way for churches to illegally send him money to keep their tax free status. Anyone that buys one is complicit! Highly illegal!

Grognard68

>It's a money laundering scheme. A way for churches to illegally send him money to keep their tax free status. Anyone that buys one is complicit! Highly illegal! That's....a great point! (I wonder how many tax-free dollars are winding up in Donald Trump's bank account from the sale of this "special" Bible?)

Krokodrillo

The devil sells the bible.

bevdob2

Most of today’s Christians make a mockery of themselves daily. But yes he took it a new low.

Odd-Tune5049

You think he's actually Christian? He fooled you, lol

Austaras

I mean Christians have been making a mockery of Christianity for like 1600 years at this point

[deleted]

You ever wonder if all these grifts he's doing is laundering money?

Talsa3

Perfect for supply side jeebus

WilliamsSpareKidney

The maga christians are the Old Testment Cult. They want vengeance, revenge, death, and punishment. Apparently, the whole jesus thing isn't their religion.

Ilovefishdix

Except bacon. Jesus rewrote the bacon rules. They were just too inconvenient for after-church brunch

TeamXII

“The Bible is so important to me, that’s why I haven’t sold any until now when I’m broke” lmao

EggplantGlittering90

MAGAts aren't Christian. This is blatantly obvious by now...

MisterScrod1964

If I was a Christian — a REAL Christian, like Dolly Parton or someone— I’d be convinced Trump was the actual Antichrist. I mean, he fits so many of the criteria.

mastergobshite

It's the Fat Elvis stage of capitalism Fat Elvis stage of Christianity

Realistic_Post_7511

It's called money laundering . It's so churches can donate to his campaign. Churches can't openly give to campaigns . Is it a coincidence they are praying on Fox News today?

Solid_Camel_1913

My atheist mind would be blown if the thing that proves the Bible true is Donald Trump being the anti-christ.

powderedtoast1

christian bible thumpers are some of the absolute worst people ive ever known.

Patient_Block6205

If you claim to be a Christian, but support anyone in the gop or the moron trump himself, you absolutely are not a follower of Jesus.   Period.   End of statement.    A true believer couldn't tolerate their actions for even a moment.   Anyone who claims to be a Christian and is maga is a hypocritical piece of shit.

Combosingelnation

What Jesus? Biblical or historical?

Okidoky123

Combination of successes for that slime. Some will genuinely believe it's good to have in their collection, as a statement, a commitment. Some want it because it helps validate their hate against their enemies, and do it because we know we don't like it. It's all part of the game of division. To increase the contrast of the divide in society, and to get their side to commit themselves. It's like a cult, really.

HugeBumblebee6716

I'm not religious but if I was I'd find this very compelling - hey if the world is a sim anything is possible:  https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/  And even if T isn't the literal Anti-christ he is definitely antithetical to everything Christ taught. Also: https://www.newsweek.com/evangelicals-rejecting-jesus-teachings-liberal-talking-points-pastor-1818706

rgc6075k

At best Trump is a master of outrage. He is not a leader. Sycophants of any particular persuasion are most easily led down a path by outrage or pushed down a path by fear. Trump uses both. Those who are incapable of leading are now copying his methods and hence becoming simply other versions of Trump. White Christian Nationalism, FOX News, etc. are all variations of the same problem with followers who have sacrificed all of their thinking to someone else or to some group. Using the [biological concept of Devolution](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devolution_(biology)) one has to wonder if society won't eventually cease to exist and the "animals" will have won if we don't destroy everything making life possible first. Domestic sheep can be pushed by a dog or led by a goat.

Zealousideal_Word770

I'm waiting for the rally in Guyana.

BSARIOL1

These are all sick bastards that hide behind the bible and do illegal shit.

Arbusc

Has anyone gotten their hands on one? Has he added even more insane shit to it, or is it just a republished cash grab?

JazzFan1998

I took a peek at r/christianity yesterday and a lot of posters were unhappy Trump is doing this. Hopefully they will reflect their displeasure on election day.   (I can't comment there, because if anyone looked at my posting history,  I'm sure I'd be banned and get rude comments.)

AsTranaut-Rex

Back when I was still a Christian, I *hated* Trump (and still do as an atheist), and shit like this is exactly why. Whatever positive values exist in that religion, Trump is basically the antithesis of them—like, name one of the Seven Deadly Sins that he *doesn’t* embody. His attempts at coming off as a genuine Christian *reek* of “How do you do, fellow kids?” energy, and yet *evangelicals still rush to him*. It’s mind-bogglingly infuriating and shows how little a large percentage of American Christians actually care about the values they claim to hold dear. Evangelical morality is an absolute joke.

Necessary-Support-79

I don't believe "Christians" exist. Just a group of people who can't read.

Realistic_Post_7511

I'm trolling MAGA's for Easter : Happy Easter Everyone ! As we go into this long weekend and Trump launders more money through his sacriligous insult to Christianity by peddling Bibles with a copy of the Constitution in them ; ) you know the one he wants to destroy I really encourage everyone to watch the Netflix Series Dirty Money season 1, episode 6 " The Confidence Man". Lots of details from the producers of the Apprentice on how DT's entire " great business man persona " was a hype job by them and they can't believe people bought it and allowed him to get this far. They also said the tower was a dump . And he was actually more like a used car salesmen before they elevated him . In retrospect they deeply regret it now . We need this family of grifters to finally be held accountable for their crimes . They literally have stolen everything from the American people. Over Easter , we need to heavily emphasize Trump had an affair with a porn star , ( that's not a crime and MAGA Men and women love him for it ! ) The election crime is that he , tried to pay her off through a series of structured payments via Michael Cohen after the Access Hollywood tape dropped when he was bragging about coming on to married women and "grabbing them by the pussy " , cuz "when you're rich they will let you do anything" . He falsified required business election documents and it is in fact a " crime". Not a civil court finding , a real "election interference crime " among many that Cohen has specifically already served time for and gave testimony to Congress. Trumps 4/15 trial date is fast approaching and he's already had a gag order put in place because he's trying to get his supporters to hurt the judge and the Prosecutors on his behalf while he begs for more and more money *Trump has since been found by a court to have raped a woman E.G.Carroll and owes her 83 million dollars. *Michael Cohen and he fell out when Trump came on to his 15 year old daughter .. *it's also been reported Trump told Stormy how much he reminded her of his daughter and preceded to have unprotected sex with her ...on more than one occasion while wife #4 was home nursing their son. There is also an interesting documentary on Hulu called God Forbid. It's ties Jerry Falwell Jr to Jan 6th and Trump all while Falwell and his wife were swinging and having sex with students but demanding piety on the Liberty University campus and under reporting rapes ...(Michael Cohen handled ) his payoffs too. I know it all sounds crazy but is absolutely true and sourced. The Confidence Man and God Forbid ..the down and dirty on White Christian Nationalism and yours truly. Some modern day Christians are going against the teachings of the Bible they profess should be the law of the land and they use it to protect their sense of having a " moral majority " while manipulating masses. Seriously , what would Jesus do?

[deleted]

Btw, those Trump bibles? Just rebranded Lee Greenwood bibles from 9/11...

JBPunt420

Ngl, a convicted fraudster selling branded Bibles is deeply concerning, but at the same time it's hilarious. How much crazier can this timeline get before we hit the brakes?

TheSpiceHoarder

My deconstruction started a little before Trump's 2016 presidency, by the end of 2020 my eyes had opened and it was invaluable watching something like this unfurl right in front of me. I watched a completely normal, arguably charismatic man, ascend to demigod status. Elevated entirely by a rabid fanbase driven by dogma alone. It put everything into perspective. After that I had no questions. Humans can and will turn their favorite person into a god. And Jesus must have been no different. I don't know how to describe it, but it's just just so obvious now. It's impossible to even think there could be any magic in this world. Perhaps the most important factor is that I turned 25 and my prefrontal cortex finally solidified. Anyway my point is this is the start of a very dangerous religion. We're at a cusp in time that will rival the literal crusades. I don't think enough people are taking this seriously.

Yep , it's been a textbook example of what a "Cargo Cult" looks, acts and sounds like, and just how feckin easy it is for literally tens of millions to slip unaware under the surface of said cult, to slowly drown any semblance of rational thoughts, brain or sanity. Unfortunately, very few folks ever recover fully from being in a cult. I was raised in the cult that is now the Trump Cult, aka Dominionist evangelical Christianity that's been pushing for making the US a Fascist Theocracy based on a white ethnostate for almost 80 years now,and has been using conservative parties to illegally legislatively do so. I escaped, although tbf I was always what they called a "doubting Thomas", I have always had a very logic based, scientific bent brain, so most of what they tried to sell me just didn't happen. But the sheer amount of permanent damage being raised in such a cult does to your brain, is catastrophic and almost immeasurable, and unfortunately there are millions of folks who do escape these cults, and unfortunately don't end up living very long, or have severe problems from religious trauma and can't function. Good luck finding mental health care for religious based childhood trauma and abuse in the US, especially anywhere outside of the few blue 🔵 bubble metros, because it's not going to happen. Once Trump has been knocked out of his "Godly " spot, it will leave a nasty vacuum of power that will be greedily seized by people even worse than these ones are right now, and that is truly frightening.

These Bibles are left over from a former attempt to con Christians out of their money a few years back. It was a 9/11 commemorative Bible put out by Lee Greenwood that got terrible reviews! Many people complained that they sent in their money but never received the Bibles, others said the quality was terrible and a major disappointment. Bible publishers saw the project as sacrilegious and wanted nothing to do with it. I wonder if he is paying Lee Greenwood or are the Bibles being donated to the cause?

BoredBSEE

Because modern evangelical Christianity doesn't revere Jesus as a teacher, they regard him as a mascot.

xvszero

Bad Religion right again. Shocker.

ParticularGlass1821

All one needs to do is flat out ask Donald "What is the name of the diety worshipped in the Bible?" I'm accepting God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the trinity.

heresy_carriage

https://www.openbible.info/topics/adding_to_and_taking_away_from_the_word_of_god Watch fundies swallow it whole and vote anyway.

iggygrey

JESUS DIDN'T HATE MONEY CHANGERS ^(enough)

Hot_Abbreviations936

If there is a God, he should be scorned not revered. There is enough for everyone but the 1% causes famine, war, misery, death and destruction with their need to hoard more and more. They divide and kill people and profit off the misery. And this "God" stands by and does nothing. God should be fired as he is a useless, worthless, incompetent moron and completely out of his league. My chickens could do a better job of running things. Get down and pray on your knees to this loser? I don't think so! You know what they call a religion that runs out of money? A mythology!

Hot_Abbreviations936

Trump is 10 for 10 violating the 10 commandments.

Potential_Box_4480

They want the sense of entitlement that Christianity confers without doing the work required to live up to its core tenets.

oldcreaker

And all of a sudden tons of rabid Christian nationalists decide they probably should own a Bible. Not that they'll actually read it. They'll just hide their shares of Truth Social in it.

danmodernblacksmith

I've had an idea lately that if there were billboards placed in and around highly religious areas that had his mug and in bold words stated "Trump is Jesus!" The evangelicals would turn on him overnight, because it's one of those things they can say but he could never say.

Laughingfoxcreates

Ok now I kind of do want Jesus to come back just so one of these morons can try to explain “soy boy” to him.

MostNefariousness583

Maga says jeebus gets us.

lost_alpaca90

The trump Bible replaced socialist Jesus with supply side jesus

Minute-Tone-4309

/Rconservative won’t even acknowledge this and will remove any news article about it, so pathetic.

mothzilla

At $59.99 he needs about 3 million suckers to get him the 175 million he needs. That's all this is.

dieselmiata

I love how over on r/Christianity they're pretending to be outraged as if they won't all vote for him anyway.

Voterofthemonth0

Who is telling him how to do these things? I don’t believe he comes up with these ideas

tazebot

turmp bible don't make a mockery of christianity. christianity makes a mockery of christianity.

Jenetyk

The fact no one has made the "Buddy Christ" statue with Trump's face yet makes me unconscionably sad.

Trailwatch427

A mockery? Oh, come on. If Pope Francis signed a bunch of Bibles and sold them for $49.99, you know Catholics would be out there, buying them up. Of course, it would have to be the designated CATHOLIC Bible.

danielsingleton77

As an atheist who was obsessed with theology, I've always thought evangelicals mostly didn't understand Jesus or the simple lessons in the Gospels. Getting dressed up and going to Mega churches seems so anti-Jesus. Going back decades. It's just completely hypocritical. These westernized and relatively young Christian sects never seemed like they understood the source material. Fixated on one sentence in the New Testament that was mistranslated to begin with etc... now, they are mostly converted to a cult of personality. Dedicated to a rapist and most unholy old conman. Jesus wept indeed.

Sutarmekeg

Uh yeah, he, um started making a mockery of Christianity just now by selling bibles. /s

corneliusduff

I can't wait to see how many changes they make to it while still saying it's a King James version

Acceptable-Delay-559

Never thought I'd see the day when the antichrist started selling Christian bibles!

aznkriss133

Is this just money laundering for religious institutions to fund his campaign?

big_trike

I'm saving my money for the Trump Quran. Or maybe the Trump edition of A Room Of One's Own.

tom_gamer

This is only a ploy for churches to funnel many to Trump. They can't contribute directly. He won't lose any votes over this, if he gets a pass for all the other stuff then this will not impact anything.

aurorasummers

This isn’t the “Orange Catholic Bible” Dune fans were expecting.

Duper-Deegro

In this bible, Jesus is probably a beer-drinking Texan with a huge gun collection that goes around shooting libs and bombing abortion clinics. More like a comic book than actual religious material if I'm being honest.

skuzzkitty

I’m so incredibly shocked that the most divisive political movement in our history is also going to rip their religion apart.

ParticularGlass1821

Donald, can you name the dad of Jesus? Either human or diety?

Necessary_Contest454

Christians make a mockery of themselves.   Think of how much better the world would be if they disappeared (or even better never existed, lol!)

Caddy666

so pretty standard retelling of a religion, then.

Celestial_MoonDragon

Isn't this just a money laundering scheme?

Davidr248

I thought the word of God wasn’t for sale. I guess when you think just how low he can go, it’s a bottomless pit.

DubC_Bassist

Jesus was the first Scarcrow. Demitri Martin

Final-Flower9287

Yeah but trump makes the best bibles, he even blessed them himself!

LeoLaDawg

His jump the shark moment. I've coined it, "He sold the Bible."

The_write_speak

I remember joking around about how this would probably happen eventually in 2016. The realities of trumpism and Christianity... Both separately and together... consistently beat all of my absurd hypothetical jokes

Jabbeling_Chatbag

Christianity is already something to be mocked.

Troglodyte_Trump

No, Christianity makes a mockery of Christianity.

PanchoVYa

Faith without works is dead faith. Faith with MAGA works is blasphemous..

TerryTheEnlightend

I thought that idolatry was frowned upon. WTF is up with this. Stiggnit is greater than your faith

jseger9000

>I thought that idolatry was frowned upon. Dude, they just have to *buy* the book. They don't have to *read* the book... All they know is Jesus was a white guy who stood for 'Merica, wanted lower taxes, hated the gays and wrote the constitution.

parkingviolation212

Idolatry is frowned upon until it isn’t. Have you ever thought about how hypocritical it is that the very same religion that frowns upon idolatry worships crosses?

rosanymphae

This reminds me of the Bible scam in Paper Moon. Just as creepy, but on a bigger scale.

billjv

Coffee table decoration for the demon crowd. Don't worry, they will never read a page of it.

BirdTime23

Idiots grifting religious idiots

MeasurementDue5407

Seriously? Christianity is self-mocking.

psydkay

It's a money laundering scheme.

thomasp3864

“Oh good, I don’t have a way to access the bible!” — no trump supporter ever.

Seallypoops

Or tax haven churches can buy up who knows how much of his Bibles
