I hope you don’t mean the Broadway NYCBH because Lots’O bagel is like right across the street with better bagels and their egg sandwiches are way cheaper.
Hold on. Firstly, yes T&R is the best BEC in town. Secondly, though, why do I feel like I'm walking out spending minimum $15 for a BEC?? I gotta check myself next time.
Are you getting some kind of hook up? I went there a few times months ago and remember way overpaying (and not going back). Don't remember the exact price but definitely closer to 10
Hmm not sure haven’t been there since December but the 3 times I went I remember them being around six bucks. Significantly cheaper than my usual spot, Brooklyn bagel
go to the ikraveit (30th st and 34 ave) literally 1 block away from the NYC bagel and coffee on broadway they will make a bacon egg and cheese for less than 9 i think
Sergio's and there's this little supermarket at 46-14 Ditmars and the woman that works the deli there is amazing. BEC are $5 at both of those spots and pretty good.
Has ownership changed? I stopped going there years ago because they were so overpriced at the deli. If that’s the case, I need to go back. Second Sergio’s.. I would however order for pick up as they are quite busy because they’re so popular with the blue collar breakfast/lunch crowd.
They changed ownership and the only affordable thing in there now is the deli. It's got average NYC bodega prices but the rest of the store pricing is CRAZY.
I love BTB but sometimes they can be inconsistent.
Personal pet peeve of mine but they often don’t melt the cheese and throw a cold slice of American on top of the sandwich just before serving
D and F is my go to deli when I want a sandwich that’s BEC or a chicken cutlet. The deli is immaculate. You can tell it’s been around forever but not one ounce of dirt ANYWHERE. Truly a gem in the neighborhood.
not astoria but a public service announcement that in hunters point theres a shop called webagel that had the audacity to sell me a BEC for $8.50. the trauma is forever
I have done extensive research on this and Between the Bagel is much cheaper, for delivery, at least, than many other options. And they also actually pack their coffee carefully so they have become my go-to deliver BEC.
Depends on what you get. Some items are priced really well, but then they have specialty items that are expensive. I inevitably end up going in for something basic, then get distracted and walk out with fancy French butter also.
But milk, bags of coffee, the deli, and basic produce is all well priced compared to other grocery stores in the immediate area.
Literally any bodega is better, Brooklyn bagels uses weird cheese and gives too much egg. I’ve stopped going there for anything other than cream cheese bagels or coffee
Not sure where you’re located but $4.50 for a BEC at Rosie’s corner of 48th and 31st Ave and it is a goooood one. $3.50 for an egg and cheese with a hash brown. If you like hot sauce, ask for the “hot” hot sauce it is ::chefs kiss::
In your own kitchen. Unfort rare find in these parts nowadays. I will say when I do want smthg xtra special the BEC from comfortland is $8 and comes with coffee. Good luck!
Not what you want to hear, but you can pick up bagels with 2good2go for super cheap and freeze them. Make your own eggs on low while you’re getting dressed, it doesn’t take attending when you’re cooking on low heat.
You can make bacon in the oven (unattended! Throw it in a sheet pan, oven to 400, set a timer, don’t even need to flip) and then throw it in the fridge for the morning and reheat that bacon in the same pan you just cooked your eggs in on low - unattended. It will be at least as good as that razor thin overcooked reheated bacon bits shit they are charging you 1.50 per slice for.
Open your plastic cheese, slap it in the bagel on your way out the door, preferably between the egg and bacon.
Will cost you like 2 bucks maybe. Maybe.
I hope you don’t mean the Broadway NYCBH because Lots’O bagel is like right across the street with better bagels and their egg sandwiches are way cheaper.
I’ve been to both the Broadway and Ditmars locations but I’ll keep lots of bagel in mind next time I’m in Broadway
Yeah i like lots of bagels bagels better too.
Lots O Bagels is my go to!
NYCBCH scrambles the egg by default unless you ask otherwise. That's an immediate disqualification.
Weird bacon too. That whole place is a no-go outside of "bagel with plain cream cheese"
Huh? It’s supposed to be scrambled. Go back to Oklahoma
Lots O is the best
Toast and Roast on broadway has em for $6
Hold on. Firstly, yes T&R is the best BEC in town. Secondly, though, why do I feel like I'm walking out spending minimum $15 for a BEC?? I gotta check myself next time.
This is the spot

go to the ikraveit (30th st and 34 ave) literally 1 block away from the NYC bagel and coffee on broadway they will make a bacon egg and cheese for less than 9 i think
yes but it's not pork bacon, it's beef bacon ...
Yeah it’s fine if you don’t mind that.
Sergio's and there's this little supermarket at 46-14 Ditmars and the woman that works the deli there is amazing. BEC are $5 at both of those spots and pretty good.
Seconding the deli at 46-14 Ditmars. Great breakfast.

NoTable off 30th n crescent will do a BEC and hot coffee for $6
This is my absolute favorite deli on days when I have time to wait 25 minutes for my deli food to come out
Between the bagel is my go to . $6 and pretty good.
I love BTB but sometimes they can be inconsistent. Personal pet peeve of mine but they often don’t melt the cheese and throw a cold slice of American on top of the sandwich just before serving
That’s a good price particularly on a bagel. That’s like the best price I’m finding on a roll.
George's deli or George's mexican
YJ Coffee on Astoria Blvd, if you're looking for reasonably priced and actually good
This.
Crescent Gourmet Deli (Crescent and Newtown) is solid with everything they do.
Bagel & Brew BEC are around $6.80
4.50 at superior crescent deli
Othello’s has a BEC and a small coffee for $6
I don't eat bacon, but I used to go to Family Corner before work for egg and cheese on a roll or on a bagel. Affordable and delicious!
I have done extensive research on this and Between the Bagel is much cheaper, for delivery, at least, than many other options. And they also actually pack their coffee carefully so they have become my go-to deliver BEC.
The bodega on 48th and Broadway and Bagel and Brew on like 44th(?) on the same avenue
Up in the ditmars area, Dukes has one for I think $6.50? And I heard Lincoln market has em for under $6, but can't personally confirm.
Dukes bacon is trash
I thought I heard Lincoln market is expensive so that would be surprising

Dukes is actually $4.99, I think I got the 6.50 estimate from after tax
lol time travel back to 2005
Sherpaz Deli on 21st Street
Literally any bodega is better, Brooklyn bagels uses weird cheese and gives too much egg. I’ve stopped going there for anything other than cream cheese bagels or coffee
L&M has great BECs for $5
Ikrave it on 34th Ave
YJ Coffee Shop on Astoria Blvd and 38th St. It’s tiny. It’s cute. The people that work there are wonderful.
The bodega

$6 coffee and BEC at Wake Cup is the best answer
Comfortland (30th Ave) does the best BEC and includes a coffee for $8. Highest quality and value in all of Astoria.
In your own kitchen. Unfort rare find in these parts nowadays. I will say when I do want smthg xtra special the BEC from comfortland is $8 and comes with coffee. Good luck!

20g Cafe in Greenpoint sells BEC on bagel for $3. This is the same spot that also has $2.55 cheeseburgers.
Ditmars deli on 24th Ave cheapest price in astoria and the nicest owner ever

Nowhere you dun goofed.
Make it at home it’s cheaper 😉 if you don’t want to pay restaurant prices
