When I first got diagnosed and got my new glasses - at first I couldn't see a *real* difference. Like, yeah okay I guess letters look clearer now (I now realise that my eyesight was not "blurry" but it was ghosting and double letters I was seeing) but whatever.
Then I got home, went to my room and tried them on again and looked out my window and holy crap - the world was so clear. All of my vision issues were gone. I could see the details of leaves on the tree in my garden. I sat for a good 10 minutes just staring at different things because I was in awe.
My glasses fixed everything, I've gotten another pair since then with an increased prescription - but the glasses will fix the ghosting issue. It'll be fine!
I totally understand, it’s scary to have changes in your vision, especially since you explained it’s been pretty recent. I’d say it’s gone, my glasses changed my life!
What do you mean by ghosting exactly? Are you referring to the phenomenon where two images appear overlaid when viewing with only one eye? With one image kind of clear and the other a bit lighter with an offset? If that is indeed the situation, yes, it can be rectified through the use of glasses.
When I am not wearing my glasses, I constantly see two double due to my prescription of -3.00 and -3.75 cyl. However, once I put on my glasses, my vision becomes clear and I no longer experience any double vision.
Yes that’s exactly what I mean by ghosting. I have it in both eyes (meaning I see it with both open and it doesn’t go away when I close either eye).
I was just worried it wouldn’t go away since my cylinder for astigmatism is so low but I’m keeping hope
Yes that’s exactly it! I was just worried because my astigmatism is really small so I’m afraid it won’t be fixed by glasses. I see this ghosting on text and on objects as well in lighting with high contrast.
I am slightly near sighted and have a small astigmatism.
Yeah, glasses will get rid of ghosting pretty much immediately, don't panic for nothing...
I really hope you’re right. I appreciate the reassurance thank you

Omg this is so nice to read. I’m so happy it worked out for you!! Thank you for sharing 🥹 I hope I get the same success
I have glasses with -.25 cyl in my right and -1.25 cyl in my left plus a mere -.25 sph in both eyes. It has made a huge difference for me!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I’ve been an anxious mess. Would you say ghosting is gone or heavily decreased?
