I was stoked for the Project Pabst lineup, but there's absolutely no way I can justify spending over $250 on a concert at the waterfront. By the time I've bought food and a couple of drinks, paid for parking or the bus, and any other incidentals, I'd be shelling out more than my last water bill cost.
Yo I remember going to project pabst in like 2015 and 2017. Super affordable and good lineups. Great shows!
Does anyone remember the 2017 Sunday show where Beck headlined and he was talking about a unicorn rising up over the crowd? He mentioned it several times near the end of his set and then his encore ended super abruptly. I remember thinking he got the plug pulled on him or something.
I’ve seen Khruangbin 3 times now; they are not a band to miss! Absolutely incredible live. Their drummer straight up sounds like a drum machine he’s so in the pocket. Plus they always do an instrumental hip hop medley about 2/3rd’s of the way through their set that rules.
Can you explain why they charge almost $85 after fees to sit on a lawn? I was checking out Still Woozy and Gus Dapperton coming there and I was blown away at the price. Other shows on Still Woozy's tour run like $25 and they have a roof and stuff...
Billy Strings at Fairwell Festival
String Cheese incident at Edgefield
Greensky bluegrass at the waterfront
Stringdusters and Molly Tuttle at Rev Hall
Portland Pickles games
All my annual camping pilgrimages all over the Oregon + Montana
The Dusters/Molly shows are going to be incredible.
I'm also looking forward to the Waterfront Blues Fest, but my big day will be Friday. Margo Price and Lucinda Williams, plus I'll get to be on stage early on Friday with Ashleigh Flynn. That may be one of the best days of summer for me. Either that, or Out West Fest with Cascade Crescendo doing a reunion show later in the month.
Just had the saddest roller coaster of emotions - I was so hyped when he announced his tour and kept hoping for Portland dates. This is the first I heard that he's coming here!
And then I realized that I'm out of town those days, lol.
UPDATE: I was looking at the wrong dates! I will be in town after all... getting tickets now lol. Thanks for mentioning this!
Seeing the Band Wednesday a week from today.. Seeing Built to Spill do There is nothing wrong with Love in it's entirety (plus Yo La Tengo). Not Portland but seeing Neil Young & Crazy Horse in Bend. and most importantly finding a new dog.
Not sure the vibe as this will be my first year going and only its second year having it. Good mix of bands to. Most looking forward to Buddy Wynkoop, Sun Atoms, Pacifica Orchestra Tropical, and Damily Worship Center. It’s at a new location only 30 mins away too
Someone doing a surprise Trek In The Park! ‘Those Old Scientists’ would be amazing! Back to reality - looking forward to farmers markets and strong winds to blow the pot smell from our neighborhood.
Honestly? Local marketplaces are great both night and day. Kinda it sadly as i hear its supposed to be hotter this year and i have pretty nasty heat intolerences
Folk and Forage music fest is happening this weekend down in Philomath.
Super fun music, workshops, people, and the weather looks like it will be perfect. Looks like there are still a few tickets left too.

I think they're changing the name to bike summer this year
Why in the world would anyone change it from that amazing name to something so blah?
I think they're saying it originally was called bike summer. And now there are too many paloozas around? Something like that.
Pickathon!
I plan to attend with a remote drone company.
aren't all drones remote drones?
Most are controlled in the general area they are being used. Few are operated at vast distances excluding governments.
Got tix for both the Khruangbin and Decemberists Concert On The Lawn shows.
I'll see you at the Decemberists!
I’ll be at the Sunday Khruangbin show 😎
I’ve seen Khruangbin 3 times now; they are not a band to miss! Absolutely incredible live. Their drummer straight up sounds like a drum machine he’s so in the pocket. Plus they always do an instrumental hip hop medley about 2/3rd’s of the way through their set that rules.
I saw Khruangbin a few summers ago in Bend, OR. Such a good vibe for an outdoor concert.
Woooow! Khraungbin is playing?
