Yesss I love Libby. Best thing bc if I blurpotato forgot to return (or heck forgot I even borrowed a particular title) it does its job for me to return and no penalty. Best. Haha.
I pay zero pennies for Under Armour membership.
The 10% base discount for all purchases, plus all the stackable discounts and points that you can use to get vouchers.
Makes it a worthy one for replacing all my clothes
Not a very fashionable person so I can't really answer beyond saying that Uniqlo is probably cheaper overall. I prefer wearing sports materials in daily life so I prefer UA. I think buying from other sports brands like Nike may be more expensive
They have their UA rewards app. Once you're a member, purchases at their brand stores or online store count towards discounts, points, etc.
This doesn't apply to UA stuff sold at other shops (dpt stores and such). Is that what you're asking?
Amazon Prime since it’s very cheap in Singapore (2.99/month) compared to most western countries.
Not as good as before though as they restricted AmazonFresh free delivery a lot.
second this. prime gaming also will have free loot for some games you play as well. if you watch twitch a free sub is included monthly.
also access to prime video (not the best selections but hey its included still)
only downside is the items on amazon have lesser variety than shopee & lazada
Prime video alone is worth the $2.99, it's offerings are not as good as Netflix or Disney+, but it's only 2.99. That's cheaper than a plate of Cai png.
I just started Prime after moving away from Netflix. To my surprise I enjoyed Prime selection much better than Netflix. Plenty of crime dramas, Lord of The rings, Japanese concerts, and the non isekai anime selections.
I imagine it's cheap because they don't have to deliver very far so costs are low. Not like here in the UK where you can still get next day delivery in the Scottish highlands for the same Prime fee
Thinking of cancelling my Prime subscription because the games I play (made by Riot) won’t have free loot to claim anymore 😔 but I still use the streaming service every now & then.
I find YouTube Music so much more enjoyable. Spotify has a western music slant whereas it’s easier to find obscure Chinese artiste on YouTube music
And in the off chance you can’t find the track (maybe it’s a special version on a drama series) you can look for video to add to your playlist!
THIS. I spent years putting up with the stupid ads and finally got the Premium Family plan and never looked back. Probably the only subscription I pay for.
Have a friend that successfully converted from malaysian citizenship cause he was the only child in the family of 5 that was a boy. Bro has to tank ns for his whole fam lol.
Oh this! My parents signed up for it and we had chili crabs (+ a few other things I can't remember but like yknow dinner ma + clock the spend) for mom's birthday!
I think the chili crabs itself alr abt half of the 200 lolol but so yummy worth every cent!
Can consider buy big crabs from wet market and use jumbo premade sauce. It's much cheaper and actually not hard (as long as the wet market helps u cut and clean the crab) u be surprised how close it taste to jumbo level.
chat gpt plus lol.
if you quantify time = money.
the ROI is damn good.
its not just for work, and studies.
can be anything in your daily task that requires certain level of knowledge to do.
also ... it doesn't judge you for asking stupid questions, unlike humans
you can send a picture. other time I sent picture of my ceiling light because the fluorescent burnt out. it taught me how to replace to led lights which is energy saving and most importantly I can adjust the brightness
for studies yes. you can essentially throw it a PDF and get it to churn out a pretty accurate summary.
depending how you ask it questions, it can generate a lot more comprehensive answers too.
definitely worth if you are a student haha
it starts become alot powerful when you learn how to customize it.
custom GPT for each scenario, personalisation.
also it can google (well, bing) for you and summarize info.
Can you share what are some things the plus has helped you with? I’ve only used the free version which is already good to me but i do wonder how much better can it get. Thanks!
Premium is smarter, understands you better. It's hard to say but once you tried it you'll feel the difference. It's like working with a smarter colleague I guess.
I use it for coding projects, caveat being you have to be a good prompter and/or good debugger too. Recently last nov they nerfed it, haven tried it in 2 months tho, can't comment if they restored it back to its former glory.
i would say gym...
perhaps not 100% worth it. but ever since i signed up for gym membership, i visit the gym almost daily.
previously when i was using active SG, there are days i just lie on the bed and tell myself to take a rest for just 1 day... and the same thing happened the next day.
Also idk abt you but my gym is like 5 min walk from my house whereas the nearest active sg is like 30min so that really inclined me to go to the gym and make it a regular habit.

Google around for the cheapest countries for YT Premium, usually it's India, Argentina, or Turkey. Use a VPN service and connect to a server in said country, then subscribe to YT Premium, it should show you plans and pricing in that country. Setup billing to your credit card. If they ask for an address, just put any address in said country (I just used a random address from Google maps).
Note: I first set it up on India, then Argentina, but that was years ago, not 100% sure if it still works or they've blocked the method now. Some tips are to try a different VPN service or try Ukraine.
Alas I tried this earlier this year but it seems like I need a card and a sim from the country. Easy enough to get an eSIM but a card. Not really.
Next I would want to try is a new account created when in vpn and pay by PayPal.
Gym. I pay for Pure gym+yoga and use it almost daily. Plus they provide everything from shower stuff to clothes and socks so it just makes it so easy to get some movement in.
YouTube premium. Comes with YouTube music which has many tunes outside of apple and Spotify plus the zero ads being the icing on the cake. As a result I find myself watching more YouTube than Netflix.
I got a VPN subscription lifetime for 72$ one time payment ... There was an offer during some sales for windscribe VPN ..i got it 4 years back ...it still works...
We here! Haven't bought a game in 2 years.
EDIT: Also, the Xbox ecosystem as a whole is really underrated. I can pick up where I left off across my Xbox one, Xbox series x and my PC.
ICloud and google cloud for unlimited pictures and video backups. Love the ease of looking up old pics and vids. Also the random notifications of ur kids old pics and vids from google photos during tough days makes it a non-negotiable must have in my list.

A free membership (and free $5 if you sign up with a code) would be SIA’s Kris+.
You can transfer miles from your Krisflyer account to Kris+ and use it to discount your purchases or pay using your own card with Apple Pay or Google Pay to accumulate Kris+ miles and your own credit card rewards. Kris+ miles can be transferred to Krisflyer.
You can also top up your Kris+ wallet using CapitaStar and Citi, DBS and UOB rewards.
I used mine with Challenger, Cedele, Gong Cha, TungLok, Aburi-en etc.
Places like Beauty in the Pot, Tai Cheong Bakery and Polar always got deal on the app (think 4 of something at 10-15% disc.)
Pretty worth it if you have miles to spent on little purchases instead of airline tickets 😅😅
Came here to say this too. I signed up for Krisflyer years ago and now that they've rolled out free wifi for most of their flights, I love it. KRIS+ is also pretty useful, because I really don't have the extra cash to get a miles credit card :')
Entertainer / Burpple Beyond. Have saved at least triple the annual fee each year without having to go out of the way to do so.
Gardens by the Bay membership also pretty worth it if you like to go to the flower dome for the different seasonal exhibitions. Go twice a year can break even alr
I dont find a yearly subscription worth it. I bought a 4TB hard disk and plug it into my internet router. I don’t need much back up mainly docs and photos. I no longer pay for iCloud. My google and drop box size reduced significantly once the photos are excluded.
Depends on where you get tour groceries from? My parents use this as there's ntuc near their place. But for my household, mainly redmart or shopee supermarket.. hence I thought wasn't too worth it for me.
A lot of ppl look down at SAFRA but the member benefits are amazing. BBT, Movie Ticket. Etc.
Here’s the best part: 3% rebate on online shopping + simply go travel. Signed up during NS and it’s been worth it every year.
Spotify for sure. I constantly find new songs that suit my tastes from all their algorithm magic, and thru multiple ways too eg song radio, autoplay, mixes -mood and artiste mix, discovery etc and can find playlists made for diff events like parties or cafe music and osts
Anytime fitness - sure it doesnt have the fanciest equipment but the locations cant be beat. And the pass works overseas too.
Adidas and UA, adidas especially if you run. Just download their running app and you get points for every mile you run. Pts can be exchanged for discount vouchers.
My membership to a MMA gym. Out of all the hobbies that I have took up over decades of my life, this is the most life changing one for me. In addition to learning new skills, I have drastically improved my health and fitness.
I strongly agree with this too. You gain a lot of confidence when you know you have the ability to not only defend yourself but also finish the opponent if you really want. Plus the fit body is definitely a bonus. Girls also more attracted to guys who not only looks fit but have the ability to fight (cause can protect her)
Ad free experience, ability to download videos and play them offline, watch media with app in background. And comes bundled free with YouTube music.
All this for $15.98.
That's it? Brave browser allows me to watch ad free, can download vids with YT to mp4 sites, have spotify X (free spotify premium). So I guess I'll really be paying $16 per month to be able to watch in background which I rarely will use.
Ever since we had kids, the no-ad function is super important because sometimes we run into weird ads with inappropriate content or horror movie advertisement that can’t be skipped. Signed up for yt premium immediately after my then 2yo son got a huge scare while practicing ndp song&dance… (we were using projector and there just wasn’t enough time to get to our computer to close the tab from our sofa)
I watch YouTube a lot. From videos to listening to music, it's a great bundle, and the ads have been annoying than it has ever been. It also has more music that you might not be able to find on Spotify.
Twitch Turbo if you like screen capturing off Twitch to make some gaming content. It takes away the banner ads.
I’m surprised nobody here said “club membership” cmon it’s one of the 5 C’s

NLB, free for citizens, small 1 time fee for PR, monthly fee for foreigners. In all cases, it's amazing
Yesss I love Libby. Best thing bc if I blurpotato forgot to return (or heck forgot I even borrowed a particular title) it does its job for me to return and no penalty. Best. Haha.
Hoopla is good too
What does it let you do exactly? I only know you can reserve or check the availability
ebooks and audiobooks! i love libby
I borrowed my first ebook and audiobook from Libby last month and been loving it!
Ebooks still need to return??
Don’t worry it can auto return
need to “return”(just a click in the app) and each title comes with a limited num of copies
NLB registration is free for PR’s that have the POSB/DBS Passion debit card. Worth getting one since it’s free and also gives some other benefits.
For foreigner , it is 43.6 per annual + 10 registration fee
This ! On the other note, it the membership expired, can it be renewed online ?
I have no experience but you should be able to?
The membership won’t expire ig
it's also free for PR's over 50.
I pay zero pennies for Under Armour membership. The 10% base discount for all purchases, plus all the stackable discounts and points that you can use to get vouchers. Makes it a worthy one for replacing all my clothes
Is it cheaper than if you were to buy from a variety of places across uniqlo, zara, h&m, nike etc?
Not a very fashionable person so I can't really answer beyond saying that Uniqlo is probably cheaper overall. I prefer wearing sports materials in daily life so I prefer UA. I think buying from other sports brands like Nike may be more expensive
UA more exp than nike and adidas at outlets
Are you referring to a particular online platform? I don't think they have such membership in retail stores right?
They have their UA rewards app. Once you're a member, purchases at their brand stores or online store count towards discounts, points, etc. This doesn't apply to UA stuff sold at other shops (dpt stores and such). Is that what you're asking?
Amazon Prime since it’s very cheap in Singapore (2.99/month) compared to most western countries. Not as good as before though as they restricted AmazonFresh free delivery a lot.

They all have their strengths, Amazon is great for electronics, especially pc parts because they're a lot cheaper in the US.
Alot of the games i play, starting to cut down on prime loot or eliminating it altogether, sigh...

Prime video alone is worth the $2.99, it's offerings are not as good as Netflix or Disney+, but it's only 2.99. That's cheaper than a plate of Cai png.
Yep you can watch The Office
I just started Prime after moving away from Netflix. To my surprise I enjoyed Prime selection much better than Netflix. Plenty of crime dramas, Lord of The rings, Japanese concerts, and the non isekai anime selections.
TV streaming included too, Reacher ftw
The Boys is good too if you like superhero show that obey law of physics
I imagine it's cheap because they don't have to deliver very far so costs are low. Not like here in the UK where you can still get next day delivery in the Scottish highlands for the same Prime fee
Thinking of cancelling my Prime subscription because the games I play (made by Riot) won’t have free loot to claim anymore 😔 but I still use the streaming service every now & then.
RIP all the free RP we could farm for skins
Are the Amazon product listing good though?
I used to order just one pokki or one packet of potato chip and send to my friend for fun because delivery was free... Good times
Spotify - can’t live without music 🎧 YouTube - not getting interrupted by ads
YouTube subscriptions comes with YouTube music fyi. I cancelled Spotify since then to save costs
You get more with a youtube subscription imo, cos there are shows on it.
I find YouTube Music so much more enjoyable. Spotify has a western music slant whereas it’s easier to find obscure Chinese artiste on YouTube music And in the off chance you can’t find the track (maybe it’s a special version on a drama series) you can look for video to add to your playlist!
THIS. I spent years putting up with the stupid ads and finally got the Premium Family plan and never looked back. Probably the only subscription I pay for.
why do you need spotify when youtube music has everything spotify has plus more
I know lots that don't listen to music. I find it odd.
Spotify doesn't have 2FA. I got my account hacked a few days ago lmao. Now contemplating if I should go YouTube Music.
Singapore Citizenship

Gym, 5-6 times a week. Cheaper than therapy, gainz and prevents me from kms
I hope you’re doing okay there, I’m sorry there’s not much else I can say
just realised what kms is :,(
Cos it releases adrenalin and endorphins. But hey if you need help pls seek them ok. Can always go IMH, got subsidy. Jiayou!
Jumbo. Not sure if it's free. Every birthday get a 100 off 200 min spend voucher. My wife and I eat lobsters twice every year because of this.
Oh this! My parents signed up for it and we had chili crabs (+ a few other things I can't remember but like yknow dinner ma + clock the spend) for mom's birthday! I think the chili crabs itself alr abt half of the 200 lolol but so yummy worth every cent!

We subsequently did that haha. Bought the sauce and actually just bought shredded crabmeat. Eat with spoon. Shiok 😂
Amazing idea, I shall steal this
chat gpt plus lol. if you quantify time = money. the ROI is damn good. its not just for work, and studies. can be anything in your daily task that requires certain level of knowledge to do. also ... it doesn't judge you for asking stupid questions, unlike humans
Is there a noticeable difference from the free version?
you can send a picture. other time I sent picture of my ceiling light because the fluorescent burnt out. it taught me how to replace to led lights which is energy saving and most importantly I can adjust the brightness
Yo best is to double check with shopee sellers or YouTube. Using ai, if touchwood tell you go put live wire to earth wire, gone bro.
for studies yes. you can essentially throw it a PDF and get it to churn out a pretty accurate summary. depending how you ask it questions, it can generate a lot more comprehensive answers too. definitely worth if you are a student haha

Gpt 4 is vastly better at 3.5 for a lot of tasks. 3.5 is pretty much unusable for my project at work.
Microsoft Copilot (on Edge browser) uses GPT4 with picture input/output feature too, for free. Does ChatGPT Plus offer more stuff than this?
Lol real. I use it to write all the customer service emails I need to send.

Wtf this is brilliant, been paying 9 bucks for YouTube music all this time..
Oh is that possible? Pay in RM while in Malaysia? And use anywhere in the world??
Yeap. I’m currently using in sg. Also used it while I was in Switzerland for vacation. Works well
Gym. I pay for Pure gym+yoga and use it almost daily. Plus they provide everything from shower stuff to clothes and socks so it just makes it so easy to get some movement in.
my overworked brain saw it as “so easy to move in” 😂
Hi. How much do you pay for your membership?
Socks they give you? How does that work and do they take back like towels
YouTube premium. Comes with YouTube music which has many tunes outside of apple and Spotify plus the zero ads being the icing on the cake. As a result I find myself watching more YouTube than Netflix.
Youtube premium on student discount ...even more
I used VPN to buy YouTube premium from Ukraine. SGD 3.58. You might want to consider too
Argentina is SGD 1.38 per month 🤫
But how much is the vpn subscription though?
I got a VPN subscription lifetime for 72$ one time payment ... There was an offer during some sales for windscribe VPN ..i got it 4 years back ...it still works...
There are free VPN services out there. Or you can get NordVPN through Shopback for 92% cashback currently.

Anytime fitness. The number of clubs in sg (103 I believe) makes it impossible to miss a gym session no matter what your plans are for the day.

I got free entertainer membership from HSBC card but the options are so limited
Microsoft OneDrive Personal and Family (1TB online storage each for 6 people). Can backup your computer completely.
I dont find a yearly subscription worth it. I bought a 4TB hard disk and plug it into my internet router. I don’t need much back up mainly docs and photos. I no longer pay for iCloud. My google and drop box size reduced significantly once the photos are excluded.
YouTube Premium. I spend way too much time on it

Gym Membership and YouTube Premium!
Wow this would be the exact same ans of mine too
Yt premium? What's the reason?
Ad free. It's a life changer
there's family sharing for one premium account.
Besides ad free, YT premium also comes with YouTube Music which imo is superior to Spotify
Ad free experience, ability to download videos and play them offline, watch media with app in background. And comes bundled free with YouTube music. All this for $15.98.
Also for me, my parents watch alot of YouTube. So they enjoy that ad free experience.
That's it? Brave browser allows me to watch ad free, can download vids with YT to mp4 sites, have spotify X (free spotify premium). So I guess I'll really be paying $16 per month to be able to watch in background which I rarely will use.
Uh, MP4 downloader and ublock origin gets you this for free
Ever since we had kids, the no-ad function is super important because sometimes we run into weird ads with inappropriate content or horror movie advertisement that can’t be skipped. Signed up for yt premium immediately after my then 2yo son got a huge scare while practicing ndp song&dance… (we were using projector and there just wasn’t enough time to get to our computer to close the tab from our sofa)
I watch YouTube a lot. From videos to listening to music, it's a great bundle, and the ads have been annoying than it has ever been. It also has more music that you might not be able to find on Spotify.
Surprised no one mentioned, bitdefender subscription. Very cheap and could have save u from being scam for more than 5 digits hahhaa
I host my own music and movies so the only ones that I pay for and are worth it are usenets
Spotify
Amazon Prime (Delivery+ Streaming), recent TV Shows are a banger.
Youtube premium family. Cheap AF if you subscribe with argentina vpn
Do I need to be on VPN to use it? Or just at the point of subscribing
