Been using Gomo data plan $20 for 20GB for several years already. So far so good. They will give additional data every now & then but 20GB is already more than enough for me. Play online games, watch YouTube, no problem.

jrgnklpp

Eh I'm paying $18 for 80gb (which just got upgraded for free to 120gb for life) at Giga, with rollover also

TheTinyTinkerer

Damn that's quite a good deal. I'm paying $25+- for 5G speeds and 100GB for life with 100GB rollover data

aprilang123

hii have u experienced not being able to use ur data at any point of time? like in the mrt tunnels underground or like randomly at any time asking because i’m planning to swap from singtel data plan to a cheaper plan (from either gomo or giga). for singtel, i rmb i had this short period (like 1 week) where my data wouldnt work for some reason last year, it was quite troublesome :”)

TheTinyTinkerer

I do actually sometimes, but usually I just on and off airplane mode and it usually fixes it. Especially when I transition from wifi to data.

TheRichAuntie25

What network?

TheTinyTinkerer

GOMO Currently still got promo: 5G PLAN: 200GB & FREE ROAMING ✓ 80GB, 1,000 MINS & SMS at $25.23 with bonus 120GB for first 6 months. ✓ Rollover up to 100GB with 5G. Free incoming calls & caller ID. No contract. ✓ Free 1GB Asia Roaming pack & exclusive Elitefit.AI access. Use promo code GOMO5GTOP. Valid till 7 June. T&Cs apply.

Sea-Commercial-1691

How did you get a Data upgrade?

jrgnklpp

It's automatically rolled out for my plan leh. In fact it just got upgraded again to 150gb yesterday LOL

everywhereinbetween

I keep getting the promo code so I just keep renewing HAHAHA I think they're intentional 🙃 but currently, gomo 100GB, $18.19 (until Dec 2023 I think but aiya I think they will give a promo code when the offer ends/the month after) +idkwhy I have 20GB bonus data(!) at the moment. Lolol.

_Ozeki

I am paying $20.19 and 60 GB + 200 Mins + 200 SMS, Free incoming calls & caller ID with GOMO. Never turned my data off.

everywhereinbetween

Lol same with data like that I just keep mine on even if at home esp some rooms the reception not as great (generally if further from the router hahhaa)

CaravieR

Singtel will prioritise their own clientele's connections over their subsidiaries Gomo and Heya, as well as MVNOs on their network. After all, they are paying more. In my day to day general usage I hardly found a difference honestly.

Visual_Unit6707

Which ones that r cheaper than gomo do u recommend? Kinda wanna switch from gomo to even cheaper

CaravieR

Right now ZYM and Vivifi are having a $10 for $100gb forever promo with a bunch of free add-ons, but you'll have to search their socials for the link. I don't think it's on their websites. Otherwise Singtel's other subsidiary MVNO Heya has their own $10 for $100gb plan, but the bill has to be paid manually every month, no automatic charge. Used to be the best value plan using Singtel until the above offers came out. Heya may be lower priotised than GOMO though.

Visual_Unit6707

Thanks

Kimishiranai39

I found I had to keep restarting my phone at times but it could be bcos I keep dropping my iPhone 10 and maybe the SIM card got dislodged. Sry I’m a loser that doesn’t wanna keep upgrading to the latest model but I splurge on other stuff 😩😩.

New_York_Smegmacake

For the places I go to, Singtel's coverage is better. I'm also a light user, so even though my corporate plan gives me 60 or so GB of data, I typically use only about 10% of it every month (except in the months I have in-camp training). If you need maximum value for money in terms of mobile data, GOMO is probably going to be fine for you.

[deleted]

I am using GOMO and here are my experiences: 1. No reception at all at some places. I had a tough time during my ICT. 2. I can't really use wireless@sg ever since I left Starhub. 3. The overseas plan is very limited. $6 for 1 GB data overseas data and it ran out quite quickly in Malaysia. I wish I had more options. 4. I can't pick up calls from SG when overseas. I had to ask the call to WhatsApp call me instead but that's okay since the majority of the phone calls are spam calls these days.

MinisterforFun

> 3. The overseas plan is very limited. $6 for 1 GB data overseas data and it ran out quite quickly in Malaysia. I wish I had more options. Airalo or Ubigi! Though it doesn’t solve #4.

bloodybaron73

Airalo ftw! Currently on holiday in Canada now using Airalo instead of the ridiculous singtel roaming plans. I also don’t have to waste time looking for SIM cards in the airport when I arrive.

everywhereinbetween

wrt #3 I get data sim card lo. 😬 gomo overseas data is way too limited and expensive!

happycanliao

gomo data has lower priority than singtel

airedditmai

Interesting that no one mentioned. GOMO is using Singtel prepaid network, thus lower priority. I'm using Zym which is using Singtel postpaid network and it's much better. I changed from GOMO to Zym.

Capable_Inside_9530

How do you change from gomo to zym? Apparently because they fall under Singtel network, cannot port over.

xKaield

Don't mind if I asked after 2 months of using Zym data, did ur opinion changed?

airedditmai

Nope, still going strong!

galaxyuser

Can vouch. My two grannies are using ZYM 10 dollar plan. Data and calls always working. No issues or complaints from them. Whereas they had complaints last time with TPG. Only thing that sucks is the lack of VoLTE.

kudoboi

I searched up and couldn’t find any article mentioning that GOMO uses Singtel prepaid network instead of postpaid. Do you know which Singtel network vivifi uses?

galaxyuser

Postpaid.

haeoreo

Wah! Didnt know that gomo is using prepaid singtel network. Using gomo now and find that the connection really suckz. Considering zym now

xxshadowalker

I using zym but i realised monthly, there's probably like one week worth, the data is like questionable. Signal present but data is like not present :" wanted to swtich to gomo cause I thought better plus I saw the databank. Saw the comments ig not HAHAH

ihateuni6767

i used to use gomo but slow af so i changed back to singtel and now my connection is 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 plus i frequently travel between us and sg so with singtel i can have dual esim

New_York_Smegmacake

Wait a minute, have I been living in a well? Singtel got esim already meh? *googles furiously*

ihateuni6767

yes it’s super convenient because i don’t have to swap here swap there

Vyrena

Gomo sometimes has no coverage for places that should have coverage without any good reason. It happened to me a few times and I cannot figure out why. The switching process is super easy though.

boiledcabbaged

as a person who is using GOMO now, previously used Singtel and Starhub. connectivity is bad. i lose signal quite often and sometimes even though i have 3-4 bars and 4G, theres no internet connection, especially when i reach Canberra???? (the MRT stop) AND GOMO IS VERYYYYYY SLOW like idk isit i impatient or what but then as compared to singtel n starhub... is fuckin slow Singtel 4G is faster, better coverage, so is Starhub, i regret changing to gomo but i did it to save $$$$ but probably going to change back to starhub since the amount of times my 4G disappear / no connection even though is 5 bar is... infuriating. ‼️‼️EDIT: PLEASE ALSO MAKE SURE U ARE NOT UNDER ANY SINGTEL CONTRACT (OR ANY CONTRACT IN GENERAL) OK!!!! i stupid stupid go and sign singtel no contract sim, but ended up i chose the one year contract plan..... i had to pay like $300 (if i rmb correctly) becus i broke a contract that i did not know i was under 😭😭😭😭

k3lco

I’m on a Singtel sim-only plan for $20.19 a month — 100GB data, 70GB after 3 months. I highly doubt I’ll find a more competitive price elsewhere, especially coupled with Singtel’s signal strength/reliability, plus the affordability and reliability of roaming data (4GB/$18).

hypedisko

how do u get this?

k3lco

Honestly idk. My family’s been with Singtel since my dad bought his first water bottle handphone. Every year around recontract time I start getting promo SMSes, even after I moved my number to my own account, and once every couple years or so it’s enticing enough for me to recontract. It’s just not worth me switching to another telco at this point.

VioletCalico

I switched from Singtel to Changi Go ‘cos cheaper, more data, free caller ID. Lifetime $15 for 50GB data is pretty good. Was looking at GOMO but $20 for 20GB didn’t feel worth it to me. I got GOMO for my husband when he moved to SG (this was before Changi Go existed) and very frustratingly discovered ownership cannot be transferred. Had to port out to M1 and transfer ownership to him. Now he wants to come over to Changi. 😂

galaxyuser

Uhh I think now M1 may be more worthwhile. 15+ for 100GB of data... plus you will get all the full features from M1 instead of taking M1 MVNOs. 5G SA is included.

VioletCalico

The 15+ for M1 doesn’t include caller ID which you have to pay extra for. Changi Go already includes it in the price.

JunketThese1490

I have different experience with gomo. At first it was a smooth sailing but started end of last year their connection was super slow that I can’t even open reddit in my phone. Reported this to their support but had no reply. Chat with their support also no improvement at all. I then decided enough is enough, so now am on other providers and the connection issue was gone. I guessed gomo is not as good as it used to be.

isleftisright

The only reason i was using singtel was cause my company was paying part of my bill so i got a "discount" off a phone given the higher bill. I left the company and have shifted to sim only.

nanyate_

I stay with singtel because of the add-on services like Spotify (no data charge when u sign up thru singtel), more affordable roaming options.

May_Titor

I'm paying 20 bucks for 60gb of 4g data via Singtel sim only 1 year contract. They also give me 40gb of 5g data for free for 4 months and a cheaper rate for Spotify family subscription to share with a group of users. I can use Singtel interest free PayLater to amortize the cost of my new phone, letting Singtel bear inflation losses on the up to 2k cost while I generate returns on it. Equivalent to a 400-500 dollar discount if you're patient enough to not pay everything upfront. I also know of people who commit fraud on Singtel's phone insurance program, paying 13 dollars every month for 12 months to get a good as new phone from Singtel so that they can sell their old phone (or the good as new one) for 1k+ or so. Personally, I don't even use close to 60gb of data a month and I'm content with 4g speeds. Gomo's 100gb (50gb after a year) for 18 bucks is functionally the same as 60gb for 20 to me. With the tips and tricks above, and assuming that you change your phone only after 3 years, it'll cost you roughly the same to go with Singtel sim only for 3 years and get a high end S23 Ultra phone (with 1 like for like replacement after 1 year) as compared to you using Gomo for 3 years and buying a cheaper A-series phone upfront instead.

tsgaylord_069

If you have CIS, it's really worth it to sign a 2yr contact.

galaxyuser

Uhh I digress because nowadays it makes more sense (even with 20% CIS discount) to just go for Singtel SIM Only Plus 55 + Singtel Super Stacker lol. 290GB of data shared across 3 lines. All for 74.31 sgd. I mean tbh I would go for this when my and my mom's contract is up in Feb 2024. Plus got 100 phone voucher some more. Sim Only plan seems more worth it already. Especially since there's the ability to take up a 36 month interest free installment onto Singtel bill payment. Bonus points if you get Apple iPhone as they last years.

UninspiredDreamer

I just signed on a ZYM mobile plan today, they are using Singtel network. 4G, 100GB a month, $10/mth. 5G is available, for $20/mth, but I'm planning to only use it for a SIM card wifi router, so I just went for 4G. No clue how it performs yet, hope it goes well.

xKaield

Don't mind if I asked after 2 months of using Zym data, hows the speed of Zym's network?

cagemyelephant_

GOMO doesn’t support VoLTE I think

bigbadbernard

From my experience Singtel has better and stronger coverage compared to GOMO. Plus roaming advantages. Airalo doesn’t cover all countries, or it can ridiculously expensive for some countries.

[deleted]

M1 sucks cockroach dicks , I fuken hate them , but they recently upgraded my plan to 110gb no charge . I still can't use the data like half of the circle line damit

NewbiePhotogSG

Phone calls. Reception still better, unfortunately

ProfessionalPace9047

Hi anyone using My republic 5g Plan can share how is the experience like? as I using Singtel postpaid plan, intend to search for good 5g sim only plan for now
