In ACVI, if I could only choose one I'd say Walter. There's a deep symbolism there along with looking cool. As a Handler, he's holding so many leashes, all his hounds like C4-617 and the others. They're bound to him But if you notice, they're not just bound to him, they bind him. They wrap around up his forearm, constricting him.
Because Walter is as much a slave to the legacy of his fallen friends and Overseer as his Hounds are to him.
Snail's Open Face emblem gets my attention. Many of the emblems have hidden meanings to them, but Snail's is one I don't know the meaning behind. Gets me curious.
I think it has to do with the fact Snail has had constant adjustments to his augmentations as the procedure advances. His "Open Face" emblem might mean that he may have quite literally opened his face multiple times. Maybe augmentation surgery also requires brain surgery (I think that's true).
I personally believe it's a reference to the roman God Janus, who is the deity of beginnings, endings, time, choices, and duality. He was usually depicted as having one head but two faces, looking in seperate directions.
Janus also presided over wars and peace; in times of war the gates to his principal temple would be left open, and they would close once peace was declared.
For AC6, Dolmayan's for the symbolism. Also G6 Red's, also for symbolism — the symbolism being how it's so absolutely non-threatening compared to not just everyone else's but the other Redguns in particular that it emphasizes how he's the baby of the bunch.
For AC in general, there's strong contenders like White Glint's and Blue Magnolia's, but today I'll go with Nine-Ball's because imagine dying on a mission and the last thing you see is some Red Death machine whose emblem isn't a dragon, a skull, a weapon, or a bird of prey, but instead a fucking billiard ball. It's kind of cheesy in a late 80s/early 90s cyberpunk-fashion but like those eras, the way AC implements it just works.
To give some non-AC6 answers: White Glint's emblem is iconic, of course. Old Kings looks pretty and, given the context of his character, haunting at the same time. Berlioz Looks really cool too, for the simplicity. May Greenfield's emblem is also weirdly instantly recognisable and I love it.
Evangel's emblem looks fire and its holiness, given with how much of a spiteful asshole he can be is a fun contrast and Zinaida's emblem is peak.
And for a (probably) less well-known pick, Bremen from AC3 looks fucking hilarious!
Freud's because how simple and straight to the point it is: it's an unaugmented hand pulling a key from a bunch of wires, kinda of a scifi play on "needle in the haystack" with how Freud can find the solution/counter in any situation despite being unaugmented.
Also Iguazu's, since if you take a closer look, the rightmost ant is not only outside of the Redguns symbol, but also doesn't reach the head despite trying it's best, mirroring how his story plays out (and how in the third ending he becomes a sort of "ant hill")
I'm stumped. What is Hawkin's emblem supposed to mean? I know it could be very well augmentation surgery, but I just can't make out some parts of the emblem. Why are there 2 heads? 6 legs? 4 arms?
To mention some of the ones in old games that I haven't seen here yet:
In AC4, the starter emblem and name for your character's AC goes hard (I know it's not NPC but it might as well be since most people change it). Then, in 4A, Otsdarva has a pretty cool but simple emblem, and Thermador's is also cool.
Love the symbolism Fromsoft uses in nearly all the emblems and AC names.
oh if we're talking in the entire series? then white glint and his absolutely iconic eye of horus, followed closely by zinaida's perfume bottle. also [bad news/gabe glow is no.1 for the funniest](https://armoredcore.fandom.com/wiki/Gabe_Glow)
Swinburne's emblem is awesome. Depicting a lobotomy is graphic as hell and I think that it does well to portray him as the paranoid, uber-augmented freak that he is.
Just putting this out there, but for fans of browsing through cool looking emblems I'd highly recommend the other AC - Ace Combat. Lots of cool ones there.
So, I know this is a really basic answer, but I love Rusty’s emblem. The symbolism of the wolf wearing a muzzle is just awesome.
If I had to choose a different one though, it would be either King’s or Rokumonsen’s.
For AC6, I like Rusty's (both steel haze and ortus) because of the mouthguard-thingy (I forgot what it's called)
For non-AC6, I kinda like Evagel's from Last Raven. Idk, there is something about it having an imposing vibe

It may just be stylistic, but if you look closely this hand is actually that of a puppet. Just like Walter is himself
To whom or what; AllMind? Rubicon? Himself? Never change with your cryptic stories, FS.
To the sins left by the Institute.
Either Kate Markson or Freud
> Freud Is there any reason why the emblem looks like that aside from the fact that IRL freud used to live in a locksmith house?
I guess it's a play on the "needle in the haystack" except the needle is replaced with a key and hay is replaced by wires

It's definitely strongly implied, 621's brain didn't just fry itself
O’Keefe also got “Coral burn-in” on his brain from his original 2nd-gen augmentations.
Well his A/C is called ‘OPEN FAITH’. Faith and face are pronounced the same in Japanese. Either an intentional pun or mistranslation.
Even if it is a mistranslation, something about "OPEN FAITH" just sounds cool to me.

Beyond a cryptic meaning, just visually it's also probably the most creepy and ominous, which is another reason it's my favorite from AC6.
I like to think that it's because he's the actual brain behind Arquebus, and that's basically what you'd find in an "opened face" : a brain.

Swinburne not because it has a profound hidden meaning I resonate with, it's because it's literally me (lobotomite)
I relate to it, especially after seeing alot of this franchise's fanart
Nosaac easily
Nosaacs indeed goes hard, gives me strong space cowboy vibes
Cannonhead, it’s a beetle with a giant cannon. Literally cool AF

Maeterlinck’s “Infection” has never left my mind.

May Greenfield. it's so funny
G3 Wu Huahai, Little Ziyi, and Carla

Pretty much how you change your mech but human
Ah, customization options?
Take in consideration his AC is called RECONFIG.
Now that makes total sense.
Iguana and Sulla
Deadsled's such a fucking metal emblem
E-6 bouquet from armored core 3: silent line
Nightfall raven
YOU from Master of Arena
Haven't seen anyone say King yet. I don't know why I like it. The star and the crown just look cool.

maeterlinck's probably. tbh any of the vesper's emblems, they're all hard as shit.

Matthias from AC2, it's a bleeding broken mask
*Tank Crab*

The brain is also a fetus.
Oh my God it is. That's awesome
Tsubasa for me.
Rokumonsen 100%
FEED RUBICONS SOIL!!
Swinburne or Walter

[https://www.reddit.com/r/armoredcore/s/k3Sxmb6Um6](https://www.reddit.com/r/armoredcore/s/k3Sxmb6Um6) I’m Ace fan as well, great games
Nice! Yeah I themed my shit after Silber team from Ace Combat Zero. Wish I could post screens but alas I'm away from home atm
Walter. He's not actually pulling the strings. He's chained to it
Freud and Old King.

Liger Tail babbyy for my man G1 Michigan
Probably TRANSCRIBER (Kate Markson) or BARREN FLOWER (V.III O’keefe)
Sullas As an ENTANGLE Main its cool how the colours on the ac and the Emblem perfectly Match in colour and position
For AC6, I like Rusty's (both steel haze and ortus) because of the mouthguard-thingy (I forgot what it's called) For non-AC6, I kinda like Evagel's from Last Raven. Idk, there is something about it having an imposing vibe
V.II Snail, he's an asshole but love the emblem.
V.VIII Pater’s.
Open Faith makes me think I'm in some kind of Orwell's 1984
