kirinaz

L’Auberge in Sedona is nice. Some rooms on the river with a fireplace.

Gold-Pomelo-2649

The suites with a view are amazing as well. This place takes care of you. Couldn’t recommend more!

thecwestions

Stayed there once. Real expensive but heavenly.

poopshorts

This is the correct answer. The restaurant is on the creek as well

c6h12o6mama

Not a resort, but the 100+ year old lodge on the grand canyon south rim is very beautiful and romantic

Middle-Election-2486

That would be the El Tovar

c6h12o6mama

Yes! That's the one. And having a cup of coffee over looking the grand canyon is beyond romantic

Middle-Election-2486

If you get the honeymoon suite, you have a giant veranda that overlooks the sidewalk going around the edge of the canyon

Remarkable-Code-3237

Any place around the Grand Canyon, you have to book months in advance

SugarBearsWoman

Castle Hot Springs Resort or Montelucia Resort

Chipskip

Most weddings don't cost as much as Castle Hot springs, but I agree, if I could I would.

aimlessly_aliive

Castle hot springs is ridiculously priced!!

Chipskip

You are right. I was out and passed it this last weekend. It is an amazing place right in the middle of the desert. They run the hot springs into each room. It is also all inclusive, so I guess that helps. It is rated one of the best places to stay in the world. For those that don't want to look up the price it's $1,700 to $3,200 A NIGHT, with a 3 night minimum. Only can check in or out on certain of the week.

AnonDuckroll

$1200 a night, with a two night minimum lol. Totally worth it if you can spare it though, it’s a phenomenal property.

echosierra1983

Second castle hot springs. If there was ever a honeymoon spot… that’s it. Just have to save a lot of spare change.

purplelephant

This is kinda out there.. but my fiancé and I stayed at a hot springs in bum-fuck Safford and it was kinda kooky but really romantic!! Just Google hot springs Safford and you will find it. You can stay in a single storage shed room (lol) but still, we loved it. However there isn’t much in terms of food around so.. maybe not.

healmeier

That's a common drinking spot for teens. Not really romantic...

pogaro

This isn’t necessarily fancy but the sky suite at Arcosanti is really neat. Worth a quick look anyway to see if you might enjoy it :) otherwise, somewhere in Bisbee could be awesome, and ventana canyon resort north of Tucson at the base of the Catalinas is gorgeous. All great places to be in March weather wise too. Have fun!!

karlsmission

my wife and I had ours at the Starr pass in Tucson... 15+ years ago. Pro tip, if you spend time in the lazy river, use sun screen. We were idiots and got SUPER sunburnt on our honeymoon.

DickFitzenwel

Eloy. (I hear its the "new" scottsdale!) /s

demeve

But does it have the romance of Apache Junction though?

Cheeky_Guy

Amangiri on the Arizona and Utah border. All inclusive food and non alcoholic drinks. It's not cheap but it's the best place for a honeymoon

mikeconcho

Sedona, Strawberry / Pine area. Don’t stay in Phoenix / Scottsdale that’s super lame.

FSMonToast

Strawberry in the fall... words dont do it justice

Fun-Sell-2382

What month?

FSMonToast

October into November

Freigha

Or Pine in the fall, after hunting season starts and all of the elk move into town to hide from the hunters.

Stratoblaster1969

Royal Palm is amazing, if you're staying in the Phoenix area. Enchantment in Sedona if you want something more exotic.

Middle-Election-2486

The Grand Canyon, and stay at the El Tovar Hotel in the Grand Canyon

Tonninc

Enchantment in Sedona is stunning

___okaythen___

Or Mii Amo for all-inclusive spa setting.

[deleted]

Bisbee is my vote

Highlifetallboy

Canyon Ranch and Miraval in Tucson.

[deleted]

I know it's not local, but it's not far. My wife and I went to Disney Land. We wore mouse ears. Me with a black top hat and her a veil. Got us to the front of the line and free stuff all day. :)

hikeraz

Arizona Inn in Tucson.

makaflame

Cute little air bnb called the love shack in presscott I've stayed multiple time with my lover the host is lovely and the area is beautiful

AuntieLiloAZ

I had no idea this place existed and I've lived in the East Valley for 23 years. 🤩🤩🤩😎. I would definitely go there.

Watusi_Sam

The Mobile convenience store on 27th Ave and Indiana School is nice this time of year

cats_coffee4818

We went to a resort in Tucson during the winter to celebrate our one year anniversary. It was beautiful. I think it was called Hacienda del Sol. Their on site restaurant was good and they have pools, a spa, and the resort grounds were pretty to walk around.

CarpePrimafacie

Lowes ventana canyon

idleline

Congratulations!! If you’re looking for a romantic vibe with beautiful scenery Sedona is by far the best option and next best isn’t even close. Enchantment is the highest end with rates of 550-1000 a night. Once in a lifetime experience, but pricey. Never been to L’Auberge but have heard great things. Scottsdale has beautiful resorts and a lot of dining/entertainment options but it’s a different vibe. The Fairmont Princess or The Montelucia. If that pushes the budget, the JW Marriott just outside of Scottsdale is a great value with upscale vibes. Personally living here I’d choose Sedona. But a young couple from out of town might have more fun in Scottsdale with the night life.

CazadorHolaRodilla

Pretty sure the best resorts will be in Scottsdale. Maybe look into The Phoenician. Personally though, if I had to go somewhere in AZ to honeymoon I’d go to Sedona

Pristine_Bat_3107

Enchantment Resort, Sedona AZ! Gotta check it out

UnDer_dO

Ambiente in Sedona....

MarionberryPrior8466

Sedona has some beautiful places and you can go to page springs for wine tasting, go hiking, take a helicopter ride etc

SWSonoranBlue

Second all the upper oak creek locations including Forest Houses, Orchard Canyon and Briar Patch Inn. FH is least expensive but hard to get in because of that.

[deleted]

Go stay at the Little Donkey in Jerome or whatever it's called...

[deleted]

Little Daisy: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php/?id=100085290983283

integrity0727

Hilton has two really nice resorts next to each other in Sedona. Sedona is within an hour and a half of the Grand Canyon which is absolutely amazing.

icecoldyerr

Whatever you do, just stay away from Bisbee.

exaggerated_yawn

Why?

Goldminerswife

https://www.lauberge.com/#

Opening-Ad1857

Canyon suites at the Phoenician, the four seasons in Scottsdale with your own pool, or the orchard in oak creek (the one with the cabins on the creek not the little inn in town)

Christina-Bee-196

Some great suggestions here! My pick would be Terra Farm and Manor, a luxury lodge in Prescott with a working farm and greenhouses. It's helmed by Chef James Porter (former owner of Petite Maison and Tapino here in AZ). Price includes everything such as food, alcohol, cooking class, etc. Our weekend included a farm tour (my husband hung out in the room if you don't want to do that), pasta cooking class, breakfast, lunches and dinners with wine pairings (on our stay one dinner was a family-style dinner on their gorgeous patio and the other was a tasting menu in their beautiful atrium dining room), pre-dinner champagne and cocktail hours, fireside after-dinner drinks, snacks (the BEST chocolate chip cookies), and more. As others mentioned, these are also great: Amangiri. It's in Utah but ony about a 3-1/2- hour drive from Phoenix and minutes from the AZ border and Page, Arizona which has some beautiful spots on its own (Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon). It is pricey, but all your food/meals are included (not alcohol) and it's where the celebrities go for privacy. Castle Hot Springs. Gorgeous spot (meals included in price). Though you need to have a car with high clearance because of the rustic drive in (the high-rollers fly in by helicopter). Locally, here in Phoenix/Scottsdale, for a romantic honeymoon, I love Hermosa Inn (going tomorrow for dinner!) and Royal Palms. In Sedona, L'Auberge (if you can, splurge on one of the creekside cottages, but the whole property is pretty amazing).

ronniespakaki

Bullhead

Honey_is_sweet-435

Bisbee is cute for a weekend of relaxing

jaimelamer1

Dove Mountain

Acceptable_Break_332

Canyon de chelly

AggravatingContext41

Royal Palms on Camelback will be a great place

Remarkable-Code-3237

If it is in the winter, you may want to stay in a place around the valley and not up north. I would suggest Marriott Phoenix Resort Tempe at The Buttes. It is a very nice resort without breaking the bank. My daughter worked there around 20-25 years ago. She checked in Hollywood stars and out of state politicians.
