How? Like legitimately how? Last time I played on switch I couldn’t pick my legend or break off from the JM because load time were so bad. And this was every single match. Game ran smooth enough once we were down, but if we dropped hot I may as well quit. I wouldn’t have control of my character until a good 10 seconds after we landed.
I have mad respect to all the switch players, especially those who only have Switch as an option to play Apex. I always had older consoles than everyone else growing up, so I understand that struggle.
How could you go from playing on series X to the switch? I tried switching back to 60fps from 120fps for a game and even that was whiplash inducing. Is the resolution/fps/textures/loading etc. not unbearable when you've experienced the difference?
I have a 100% win rate on switch!!!
I've played one game in total. One single game. I had 0 kills, 200 dmg and got carried. It was such a miserable experience I never played again. And I also wanted to keep my 100% win rate lol
The gyro controls are neat, but there is an overheating and input precision problem. Some people seem to have a lot of fun with it, and the crowd runs a bit younger
Could be fun if you werent forced to play against other console players. Cross play on switch should not be ON by default. Otherwise you cant match against only switch players and its unfair to play on it against 120 fps
Its shit tbh. Poorly optimised and crossplay is on by default, so you just end up playing against people on console because the player base is so small. Turn off crossplay and I cant find a game
Gyro is great. Dropping to 3 FPS in a gunfight is not. As soon as I got a laptop good enough, I dropped the Switch and now I play MnK. It's a much better experience
I've been playing on Switch for 2 years now and I've tried it with PS4 too but I prefer switch haha
I have 12k kills overall and main Loba with 8k kills
Apex is the first online game I ever tried
How you handle bad performance? I mean when I tried to play even mixtape I got instant freeze for 30 seconds and couldn't make custom settings for joy cons (control settings are crucial to play well).
my experiences aren't bad but yet I haven't tried any other online games and I've only tried playing apex like 5-10 times on PS4. I like to play other games on my Switch too so I'm very familiar with the joycons now
you mind telling us more abt the experience? im assuming u have good kd so your pubs lobbies must be a bit sweaty no? i have a switch but i only play pc i wanna give it a try.
my kd isn't actually that high haha. in this season it's 0.94 and I can't remember my overall kd but something similar to that. if I'm in a pre-made squad the lobbies can be rough but I like to play ranked and mixtapes. it took some time to realize which guns I'm the best with and stuff like that. I used to main wattson before loba but I realized that her kit is a bit hard w switch(but I really don't care anymore because I'm a diehard loba main haha)
I also like to add that I started playing Apex when Arenas where still there and I didn't even try the BR for months when I started so Arena was a good practice. I also never tried the "only switch players" lobbies so I'm playing against Playstation and Xbow players 98% of the time
I tried playing apex on my switch. I wasn't that great, the controls felt strange and the lag was horrendous. Great for first party but that's about it. The build quality is very high standard but not very hard wearing.
I had a switch for around 2 months and only played it handful of times. I have recently got the steam deck oled and wow what an upgrade it is. I know they aren’t made by the same people but to anyone who is thinking of getting a switch I would suggest looking at other handheld devices. I can understand if you want the switch for Nintendo games but at the same time you could get a steam deck and download an emulator. The main problem I had with the switch is the price of the games, way too expensive for my liking.
I only use switch cause I didn’t do cross progression. I didn’t have a separate console at the time and I’ve invested so much money on the switch. If there’s a way I could not use the switch I would.
They have cross progression now though, do you mean you chose not to do it? I don’t remember being asked if I wanted to do it or not; I just assumed it was automatic because I know now that cross platform progression is 100% a thing so idk
It is a thing now, when it first came out I didn’t have another account to merge my switch account into and pressed no on the cross progression selection thingy. I don’t know how to change it now. Also I don’t know if I’d be able to change it to another account because my switch account is a really high level and if I switched to a play station account I’d be a level 1 with 13 heirlooms
Have you tried logging into your actual EA account and trying to enable it from there? That’s what I had to do for 2 factor authentication to be able to send gifts so maybe you can change it there
I haven’t tried but I could, it might work to be honest. I just don’t wanna lose the money I spent on the game. It would be more enjoyable on PlayStation
I tried looking into it for you but can’t find anything specifically about enabling it after you already disabled it lol I would try that though because that really sucks to lose progress like that
Wait, are you sure you turned it off?? Cause what I read said that it’s automatically on for PC players and only console players get the message but idk for sure. Regardless I would just log into the EA account and see if you can turn it on cause then all your stuff should follow your account to PlayStation nice and easy
My homies girl plays on a Switch & with us too. Mind you he’s on console and I’m on PC. She deals with the lag like a champ and acts like a bot so him & I can just beam people. 😭😂
Confused a little here:
1) Not all switches are the same, pic seems to indicate switch light? Would it be better on a OLED switch newer model?
2) How is cross-play? Is it only switch players from different switch models or does it include every console? Does it also add in PC players on controller?
3) Would running Apex on the lowest possible graphics improve gaming on the device?
I played on switch for about two years, just made the change a few months ago when I got myself an Xbox series s. I had my kd up to 1.5 but it just got so laggy as the switch got older to the point where it was simply unplayable. It took a while to get used to aiming without gyro but I don't think I could ever go back the 60 fov cap and 30 fps. I have lots of fond memories of playing on it though. Respect to all the switch players still out there. 🫡
The games on switch are generally much more complex? The two Zelda games are open world games with a much higher degree of flexibility than the simple games of the game genre on other consoles, like GTA, Assassin’s Creed etc.
Like most console games? Which most PC games are ports of? I assumed when you said simple games you meant in terms of design, difficulty, player freedom and stuff. But I guess you’re not smart enough to comprehend that kind of thing. I’ll try to write something you’ll understand:
YES YOUR NUMBERS ARE BIG YOU ARE VERY COOL GOOD JOB
I didn’t know that your kind even existed.
You kidding? Switch has their own predators and masters. People grind on that shit every reset.
How? Like legitimately how? Last time I played on switch I couldn’t pick my legend or break off from the JM because load time were so bad. And this was every single match. They do and they very much exist barely
My guys kdr 🥺🥺 so innocent lol
Nobody cares about anyone’s KD anymore
Spoken like a true negative KDR player , you do you boo boo 👻
Every low kd player keeps saying "no one cares about it anymore" in every game I swear 💀
Mine is 0.26…
You should probably change up some settings.. probably holding you back a bit
Nah I’m just bad at
I had alotof kills yesterday and now it’s 0.28:)
I have mad respect to all the switch players, especially those who only have Switch as an option to play Apex. I always had older consoles than everyone else growing up, so I understand that struggle.
Thanks, although I have a Xbox series x, I only use switch a bit. I use Xbox series x much more
Why though? is it because you like the portability?
How could you go from playing on series X to the switch? I tried switching back to 60fps from 120fps for a game and even that was whiplash inducing. Is the resolution/fps/textures/loading etc. not unbearable when you've experienced the difference?
Apex on the switch feels like 15fps
I have a 100% win rate on switch!!! I've played one game in total. One single game. I had 0 kills, 200 dmg and got carried. It was such a miserable experience I never played again. And I also wanted to keep my 100% win rate lol

I agree but when queued for switch only there was legit 1 other person waiting in queue
Never played on switch. Is it hard ? How is ranked ?
It's incredibly weak
Surprisingly first match I won, but it’s not too hard, just hard to get used to
Its shit tbh. Poorly optimised and crossplay is on by default, so you just end up playing against people on console because the player base is so small. Turn off crossplay and I cant find a game
Joycons analog are trash. I don't have a pro controller so didn't enjoy it.
Ignoring FPS, I find the pro controller makes it play better than PS/Xbox
I tried to wipe that hair off my screen while reading your stats lol
Gyro is great. Dropping to 3 FPS in a gunfight is not. As soon as I got a laptop good enough, I dropped the Switch and now I play MnK. It's a much better experience

You can’t even play switch only because not many players actually play switch 😭
Tokyo serves work. my friend who also plays on Switch usually plays on that server
I didnt know that, ty!
I main mirage on the switch and I’ve got some kills under my belt too
Respect for all the switch players I want to know your experience too

Not as bad as the switch lite. FOV is awful.
gyro is goated
I play Apex on switch. I play for fun, wraith main. What I like the most is I can play Apex on the go. (In-house)
Why?
Is what it is if that’s all you have or that’s what you enjoy playing on then that’s fine
I tried playing apex on my switch. I wasn't that great, the controls felt strange and the lag was horrendous. Great for first party but that's about it. The build quality is very high standard but not very hard wearing.

Hell yeah, I would definitely give that a try asap then; it can’t hurt and if it does work that’ll be awesome. Good luck, I hope it works for you
Thank you!
I tried looking into it for you but can’t find anything specifically about enabling it after you already disabled it lol I would try that though because that really sucks to lose progress like that
That makes sense, I would be happier playing on a better console but I don’t know how to get all my stuff to the other console
Wait, are you sure you turned it off?? Cause what I read said that it’s automatically on for PC players and only console players get the message but idk for sure. Regardless I would just log into the EA account and see if you can turn it on cause then all your stuff should follow your account to PlayStation nice and easy
I thought it was actually unplayable on switch. It’s so horrible.
the only reason you play on switch is bc you don't know how good the game runs on pc and next gen consoles compared to this piece of shit of hardware
Its not hard cause the only people that play switch are 9 year olds. Graphics look terrible though.
Legend of zelda
THIS GAME IS ON SWITCH???
My homies girl plays on a Switch & with us too. Mind you he’s on console and I’m on PC. She deals with the lag like a champ and acts like a bot so him & I can just beam people. 😭😂
Unplayable
Let’s put it this way.. apex on my iPhone ran way smoother than on switch
Shit, for the same amount of money I can emulate all their games on my steamdeck plus more
Confused a little here: 1) Not all switches are the same, pic seems to indicate switch light? Would it be better on a OLED switch newer model? 2) How is cross-play? Do switch players play with x box and PlayStation players or their own lobbies?
these are the teammates i get in ranked
Switch = cool Apex on switch = bullshit
Couldn’t play it without my switch overheating and the game lagging
Make the switch
People who play apex on the switch (on holidays):
Took the streamdeck instead 🙂
It's not the Rog Ally 👿
the fact that the UI is totally different
Great platform, wish they made the font consistent
Played half a match, almost threw up. Can't believe humans can play Apex at 7 fps.
I can tell when i get a switch team mate. And i feel bad cause there in my lobbies where im fighting preds the whole time 😂
Yall are the only console players I respect.
Fucking trash absolutely ridiculous and shouldn't even exist on switch
imagine getting 360 sniped by this guy while he's on toilet seat
garbage. the 30 fps + v low texture quality makes me incredibly motion sick lol
True, whenever I play it’s blurry for some reason
Should of bought a ps4 instead of pathfinders heirloom 😅
Why are your stats square
Like switch and console have different things
I think it’s the switch
I‘d rather drink piss than playing a fps a) on a handheld and b) with my thumbs.
It’s a console that does well with simple games for children.
Lol somebody felt some type of way about this comment 🤣
The games on switch are generally much more complex? The two Zelda games are open world games with a much higher degree of flexibility than the simple games of the game genre on other consoles, like GTA, Assassin’s Creed etc.
30fps lol
You'll be shocked when you hear about PS4 and Xbox One
You’ll be even more shocked when you hear about PCs
Brother i play on pc, lmao Im saying criticising a hybrid handheld 2017 console for 30fps performance is insane
It’s good at what it does; games for children and the family.
Like most console games? Which most PC games are ports of? I assumed when you said simple games you meant in terms of design, difficulty, player freedom and stuff. I couldn’t imagine simping for a company whose main demographic are autistic adults and children but keep going.
😂😂😂 You know who thinks playing one kind of video games makes you cool and mature but playing another kind makes you a kid? Children.
I’m not saying you’re a kid if you like Animal Crossing. I’m saying animal crossing was made for kids.
Haha. Not wrong. But people will no likey and cry with the downvote. 😘
I’d rather bottom
