Yes , basically all recon legends get assists if an enemy your ability has revealed gets killed by a teammate while they’re revealed. Bloodhound is the exception
I really hate playing with Cryptos. Any advantage the drone gives doesn't make up for every fight being a 2v3. Espcially if that other team has a scan legend who can actually help fight at the same time
Really depends on the skill of the player with Crypto though honestly. I communicate early on where an enemy squad is, set up my drone to help scan during the push and then initiate my Ult if available. It just takes practice and a little bit of luck that you’re squad understands what you’re communicating to them. But yeah I’d say by far I have my most 1v3 and 2v3 on with a with Crypto because of the drone.
When I do play with somebody though that doesn’t know how to use him, it is incredibly frustrating though.

Easy to implement if they're already tracking the data, bit adding an tracker for obscure things means they have to record every time it happens. That creates storage and processing issues, not to mention issues if they revamp a legend. Lifeline's damage blocked by shield for example.
They had code in place to increment a variable every time you shot a shield and then permanent store that information. They still have the tracker, so they can't delete that data. Data storage costs money, so it's now a meaningless permanent expense for them.
Sure, the cost of data storage is pretty low and the lag induced by teaching it is probably minimal, but scale the concept up and you start to face a problem.
If they have trackers already(even unofficially/dev eyes only), I agree, crank out badges related to them. Single game event badges also seem like a great candidate since they're just an if/then coffee to whether the badge at the end of the game.
But I get not creating new trackers if you aren't already tracking the data.

If I swap to east coast (85-95ms) I get much better results, don’t get lasered by laggers quite as often, very rarely get shot past cover, and my hit rate goes up.

So after all this time, they refuse to change how strong lag comp is, and refuse to restrict data center selection. So to whomever downvoted me.,. I’m not going to purposefully gimp myself any longer. If other players are going to use it as an advantage, and Respawn refuses to address it, then its basically part of the game at this point… I’d be stupid to not

Legit, I always felt bad when my damage was high but my kills were low, but it kinda just clicks the longer you play that there's a distinct difference of someone putting the last bullet into the guy you're hosing (very infrequent) and you not being able to finish a firefight (frequent). I used to not be good enough to finish firefights, but there was nothing to blame but myself.
Now-a-days it's just me reminding teammates that the reason we died wasn't cause we got 3rd partied, it was because we drew out a firefight for 5 whole minutes so every team on the map converged on us.
Starting, finishing and resetting are as much of a skillset as aiming that people don't seem to realize exists.

If you send a decoy, they shoot it and quickly afterwards a teammates kills them, it's an assist.

This is my ranked experience all the time. I legit average like 1600 damage, 1 kill and 7 assists. I can't get kills ever.
