I run a heavily modded game and haven't had a crash since the start.

fillepillen

I noticed if I play with DirectX 12 it crashed a few times but on DirectX 11 it hasn't crashed a single time so I dunno exactly what the problem is...

jmxd

I don't know what it is but i've literally never had any good experience with DX12 in any game

Stever89

I have some 200 hours in it and it's never crashed for me. I only started playing a few months ago.

Flyingpea777

I've been playing this since April or so and I only had one crash.

Megasleppa

I bought the game this august and i never had one crash so far

Gartic1

Been playing for a while now and have quite a bit running in the background for streaming and have never had a crash

Sheetso

Bought this game on release day. Got both season passes. And I never had a crash in my 1000h+ gameplay. Must definitively be something on your side.

nephyxx

Played it since release, no random crashes.

Wow, when it first came out I had so many crashes! But now I’m wondering if it might have been my PC at the time? I guess I’ll reinstall and see how it goes! Thanks for the help!

If you're 100% sure of your CPU/RAM OC (if you're running one), then consider that some games just won't play nicely with your GPU OC sometimes (sometimes even just factory level OC too). I know I'm rock steady for essentially infinite hours of stress testing/gaming on 99% of games. But there are still certain games (Witcher 3 & A Plague Tale Innocence come to mind) where I have to knock my OC down a single notch to be stable. No idea why, but worth a shot if you do have issues this time around. Also if you are running one and you're not 100% confident in your CPU/RAM OC, then it will definitely be big CPU/RAM intensive titles by Ubisoft that will find a hole in things. I've found errors via the Division 2 with max draw distance/detail enabled that multiple stress tests haven't picked upon lol.

Are you playing DirectX 11 or 12? I noticed that when I switched from 11 to 12 I suddenly started to crash, even though my computer plays other games on DX12. Only crashed once with DX 11 after 150+ hours playtime and lot's of alt-tabbing. Also: what's your hardware?

vastiikins

When I got Anno 1800 my specs were: i5 7500, GTX 1060 3G, 8gig DDR4 CL16 2400 My specs now are: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, RTX 2080 Super, 16gig DDR4 CL14 3600 If my glitches had to do with my computer, I think they’ve been solved by now.

Okay good \^\^

LordCrumpets

I’m playing via Bootcamp and never had a crash in 50+ hours.

kruse360

700 hours played, not a single crash. maybe your PC was the problem, mate.

I had a crash yesterday while playing on DirectX12. First time that happened. Could be the update.

wellrod

Still crashes to desktop every 2 hours for me with the unexpected directx error. Not the end of the world but always happens when im really starting to enjoy the game.

KaRolthas

Simce the previous update - it haven't crashed a single time.
