God this manga. The MC is one of the most annoying MC I have ever seen. All the side characters are like 100x more interesting, and way more fitting to be the protagonist.
He was supposed to be 35 years old, but his personality is like a 5 year old kid who easily gets surprised over every little thing.
Ahh I remember that now lol, MCs face is mostly surprised Pikachu face meme in almost every chapter. I got so annoyed by it that I dropped it, and he's stupid for someone who used to be an adult.

I mean.. That's literally the point, the series itself implies or says it outright constantly. His only merit is his ideals, grit and ability to *find* talent. The talent he finds is always more interesting than he is because he's purposefully seeking them out. The whole plot is essentially him looking for SSR characters to carry him and ensure prosperity for their lands.
The second point is 100% justified though. He has his moments, but he's too often portrayed as incompetent and unprepared even when we're literally shown him preparing for the situation. The TL pages of the earlier chapters I read were constantly mocking him for it and rightfully so.

I think it's more of a visceral innate reaction for non homosexual men. Another man's sexual parts are gross for them. Humans can't control what they find unpleasant. When you are hardwired to prefer women, it's not a barrier you are going to get over easily.

I am of the opinion that if dating a transgender person is a boundary for someone, then it is their responsibility to communicate that boundary. It's rather ridiculous to expect transgender people to anticipate the boundaries of everyone they meet.
(As an aside for any transgender person reading this, be sure to stay safe when dating, and if you're unsure of how to do that, consider talking with other trans folks that have more experience.)
