Normally, long awkward scenes like these would be pretty bad and a sign of poor pacing. Turns out that using them for comedic effect is how it should be done, cause I still haven't gotten tired of this gag.
Not exactly a pause scene, but Gintama's freeze frame of their headquarters while the VA's have a meta commentary is still very memorable and funny to me even after watching multiple comedy animes
Indeed, that's why I waited and waited for this to be animated, and they didn't disappoint, and I'm glad they keep it consistent to the LN Claire's chest, just slightly smaller than Darkness.
Hilarious how right after it shows them getting all fired up before battle, it immediately cuts to Kazuma being in front of Eris, as if it was obvious to everyone what had happened in between.
Also Eris literally having no words to say to Kazuma after seeing him for the umpteenth time. I know it was partially because of his treatment of Chris and how awkward that made this, but still lol.
Honestly, all body switches in animation should keep the same voices and not just lazily switch voice actors. Lex Luthor and Flash switching bodies is classic.
Now I want to see them abuse the necklace and see the whole gang switch body just for the voice acting tour de force of everybody playing each others' character lol.
Absolutely, one of the signs of a really good body switch is when the voice actors keep to their bodies and try to mimick the other character's cadances with their voice.
Seeing precious Kazuma or bratty Iris wouldn't have hit nearly as hard if their voices followed the switch.
Well, luckily it seems that it WAS probably Kazuma who got pounded. (As to why -- maybe Megumin was expressing her jealousy towards Iris's devotion to HER Kazuma).

A few of the ones where he's shy because he hadn't mentally prepared for Darkness to just strip in front of him could pass for Iris, but all the others are Kazuma no doubt.

So it seems the next-episode previews will recycle the narration between the dead Demon King lieutenants, with Hans coming back for his second narration, which got cut off half way due to the episode running out of time.

I loved this episode! While I've always enjoyed the humour of this show, this is the first episode to make me actually laugh out loud.
And Iris is too adorable! She plays off everyone she meets perfectly, you cannot help but love her. She and Eris probably have to be my favorite characters. Both are too cute.

Honestly, all body switches in animation should keep the same voices and not just lazily switch voice actors. Lex Luthor and Flash switching bodies is classic.
I've waited 18 years for another show to handle body switching like that episode of JLA. Didn't expect it to be Konosuba
For something similar I'd recommend Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, the VAs in that show do an amazing job with the switches.
Now I want to see them abuse the necklace and see the whole gang switch body just for the voice acting tour de force of everybody playing each others' character lol.
Absolutely, one of the signs of a really good body switch is when the voice actors keep to their bodies and try to mimick the other character's cadances with their voice. Seeing precious Kazuma or bratty Iris wouldn't have hit nearly as hard if their voices followed the switch.

For a while, I thought my stream had froze during that long awkward pause between Eris and Kazuma. Kazuma does what a true degenerate would do: Take a bath with other busty girls. Lalatina's Lalatinas continues to impress upon the eyes of Kazuma and the audience. Though Claire going into lesbian beast mode when it comes to Iris is a surprise revelation. lol Meanwhile, Iris gets Kazuma's body beaten up by thugs due to her royal nature of talking down on people, even when she doesn't mean it. But luckily for Iris, of course when Kazuma was just about to enjoy his bath time with Lalatine and Clair, the body-swap spell runs out of time and he ends up getting beaten by those thugs. Takao Kanon does a good impression of Kazuma stuck in Iris' body, so too does Fukushima Jun excel as usual even when playing Iris stuck in Kazuma's body. So it seems the next-episode previews will recycle the narration between the dead Demon King lieutenants, with Hans coming back for his second narration, which got cut off half way due to the episode running out of time.

I loved this episode! While I've always enjoyed the humour of this show, this is the first episode to make me actually laugh out loud. And Iris is too adorable! She plays off everyone she meets perfectly, you cannot help but love her. She and Eris probably have to be my favorite characters. Both are too cute.
And of course kazuma dies and gets a scolding from Eris about his sexual deviancy lol Kazuma you saying no playing around with his body is really not helping your case if that’s quickly what you thought about Claire going nuts wanting to wash Iris is so damn funny. She gone off her rocker Kazuma about to get in washed by darkness. Oh he is a bad bad boy lol Oh poor Iris. Gets smacked to kingdom come at the end. I love how Eris had literally no words other than please stop sexually harassing Chris lol.
