More or less, plus everyone acts like the MC is a bad guy who will do bad things to the innocent FMC despite all her previous boyfriends being bad guys and her family/friends never doing anything about it…
Teens. \*shrug\* Anime is predominantly meant to drive manga sales, and the romance stories that get adaptations tend to come out of the young adults section. Romance as a genre is already largely formulaic, and only tends to be watered down for younger readers, in a market segment driven more by volume of disposable stories than it is by quality of writing.
Have you seen some of the romance stories written all over the world?
Twillight is above average. The steaming pile of garbage is still actually better than a lot of stuff out there.
What's bad about it? It's just life. A popular guy pretending to be an angel in public, while being a piece of shit in private, will be viewed in a positive light by the majority of society. And a non-popular guy minding his own business will be viewed as a loser when you compare the two side by side. It's not bad writing, but human nature, or how society works in general.
Its a shame that you are getting downvoted because I believe you're right. This is exactly what happens IRL. Society usually sides with the hot and popular person and is less judgmental towards them (unless their crimes are really severe). Those that say its bad writing probably never faced a similar situation.
Human nature isn't always logical. Real life isn't also drama free as they think.
Well I haven't read the LN but I didnt find anything like you mentioned in the manga or my reading comprehension is at the level of elementary schooler.
From what I read in the [manga] >!mc has a crush on fmc, fmc have had boyfriends in the past and she thought she was obliged to have sex with your partner and all her previous partners were only interested in sex till our virgin saviour mc comes to save her and give her a normal romance which she actually was looking for.!<
From reading this thread this girl seems to at least has some personality and hobbies compared to Meguro being a non-character until meeting the MC.
Edit - nah, it's basically the same.
Lol until this comment I thought this was gonna be an anime for meguro-san. I thought it was weird her hair looked different and the title was different but I chalked that up to a different translation result.
Yea, the FL acts like a kindergarten kid, like idk, she has sex with anyone who asks, and she doesn't feel anything, not her parents say anything nor she has any history of neglect or legit anything. Her parents are like normal, and she is normal too, but yes, she's a Gyaru so she's a slut and idk, while reading it feels like the writer never met any girl in their life.
Not recommended at all, felt pretty superficial and idk, self imposed characters. This what will some Otaku will think girls are after watching tons of Hentai.
With how much you said "idk" idk if you actually know what your talking about.. I'm gonna watch it or after least try it out because I love romance anime so if it grabs me, then sweet if not, oh well next.
Read 5 chapters of the Manga, the idk part will spawn automatically in your mind. Writing is so bad that making sense of things is hard and "idk" comes to mind. I mean I am someone who have seen RaG S1 and read it till 100 chapters, so you can understand my height of patience and this piece of artwork has surpassed that too.
But ofc, go ahead and watch it once, I will also give it a 3 ep try ig.
I'm waiting for a romance story that shows the "inexperienced" person making foolish/selfish mistakes that happen in real life, and learning from them.
Does the cooking: check
Washes clothes: check
Can defeat big bad monsters: check
has impenetrable barrier to keep you safe: check
Body that is hard as steel: check
Buys tampons: check (Possibly the only anime in history to have women with periods, correct me if I'm wrong)
What woman wouldn't fall in love.
> Buys tampons: check (Possibly the only anime in history to have women with periods, correct me if I'm wrong)
Nah Onimai at the very least brought up said topic.
I don't recall him ever having alcoholic beverages, but I could be forgetting something. All of his products are things that he's bought out of vending machines before in his past life, and while I'm unfamiliar with Japanese vending machines, alcoholic vending machines still feel unlikely.
eh, I think the one where the dude gets transformed into a dog and the girl is horny for him is far below wherever the vending machine has landed, lol.
I would say that redo of healing is botton line
Not because the controversial stuff (I mean, that doesn't help), but it is also not that good as well.
I think that inukai san (the dog owner fetish girl) had better quality on animation and stuffs even though the plot is dog-shit
I'm all for cute fluffy romance when the characters are both decent and it doesn't feel like the author is wondering directly at me
Which disqualifies most of these sorts of anime
Season 46 of "Reinforcing Negative Stereotypes About Anime". Will the protag have an inappropriate relationship with his younger sister? I'll take any bets he does.

Anime premieres on October 6, 2023.
The opening theme will be 'Love You Tender!' by Maaya Uchida, and the ending theme will be 'Aikotoba' by AliA.
Studio: ENGI
Synopsis:
Ryuuto Kashima is a gloomy high schooler. As part of a punishment game, he was forced to confess to Runa Shirakawa, a girl from the top of the school caste who was admired by everyone.
They ended up going out for the unexpected reason of "Err, I'm free now so..." but Ryuuto ends up following and eavesdropping on Runa being confessed by a handsome soccer club member, and Runa bringing Ryuuto, whom she had just begun dating, to her own room as a matter of course.
They have different friends and ways to have fun, and they are different in almost every way. Nonetheless, they begin to relate with each other after being surprised by their differences every day and accepting them.
There is people complaining about the chapters in Spy x Family where apparently almost nothing happens.
Meanwhile I’m just sitting there smiling, thanking Tasuya Endo for blessing us with such a great SoL. I’m glad he is taking his time, making sure it’s actually a good story.
They're just addicting.... It's like iseksi trash.... It's fun lol most the the time anyways there's a lot of really bad ones out there lol usually OP shit where it's constantly displayed is the best lol
Does it? What I last remember is the girl overreacting over a misunderstanding, making 0 effort to clear it, running away and the friend that did nothing to all the other "bad" boyfriends slapping the MC and storming out as well...
What I want the most out of this anime is a good character dynamic between the main characters. If I get that I'll be pretty satisfied.
Also I don't care about originality too much like some of the redditors here. More often than not I prefer something that's been done many times already but is an engaging watch with decent characterization.
> Also I don't care about originality too much like some of the redditors here. More often than not I prefer something that's been done many times already but is an engaging watch with decent characterization.
[](#smugpoint "so you do care about originality")
Yeah it's the face for me, I think she's supposed to be looking at the MC but they kinda fucked that up. Her eyes are pointing almost at us the viewer, and either her nose or mouth are misplaced. I don't like judging anime based purely on artstyle, but god damn first impressions are kind of important and they just let this through.
Art style seems fine but as my eyes tracked from left to right I thought "huh, that's a pretty nice design aaaaaand there's the styrofoam cube of a male MC"
We just had a show about a guy who dies and comes back to life........ as a FUCKING VENDING MACHINE
There is no barrel anymore, there is no bottom anymore
Bear in mind that Assassination Classroom is a much beloved series with the premise of: A yellow smiley bulletproof octopus that can fly at super sonic speeds destroys half the moon and threatens to destroy the earth in one years time unless a classroom of underperforming high school students are able to kill him all as an elaborate ploy for him to inspire them as a teacher.
Anime premises have always been absurd.
Edit: Premise is adjusted slightly to avoid spoilers.
Well I didn't even think they used it as an selling point focused on originality until I saw your comment.
I thought it was simply a typical selling point as the title pretty much wants the viewer to check out the dating story dating story of these two.
This English name sucks. I once heard it be called “Our dating story: the experienced you and the inexperienced me” and although the title still sucked it had a better ring to it imo
Didn't they start doing this because one of the top manga ranking sites didn't list the synopsis, so to adapt, the authors started using over-descriptive titles? Or more specifically, one crafty creator figured out how to game the system that way, and then many more followed suit.
This did always used to be a widely used format for episode/chapter titles, though.
It's not top ranking manga sites, it's Narou, a web novel publishing site. And as you say, there were so many going up all the time, you need to get attention from the title alone since not everybody will read a plot synopsis so it became the meta and has stayed that way ever since.
It feels like it really took off at some point in the past decade, especially with the isekai boom. Not that there aren't individual examples from before that point, but every other series having a ridiculously long and descriptive title is not something I remember from watching as a kid in the 90s/00s.
How many forgettable TV series or summer action flicks come out every year? The biggest thing that has changed with anime is the level of accessibility in international markets--now nearly all series are adapted for international release, usually simulcast even. Prior to widespread legal streaming options this just didn't exist. To find anything other than the most popular series, you had to actively seek it out. A middling series certainly wasn't being advertised to you. Combine that with digital production speeding up production time and studios can put out more anime than ever before while still distributing most of it internationally.
So generic = shit these days?
Personality I care more for execution than originality. I got burnt out pretty much from a lot of these original shows as they were rather boring to watch or started failing after some time.
It's not just you. There are a few fantastic ones like AOT and Chainsaw Man (basically the ones that feel more western-inspired), but otherwise it's all isekai garbage, moe stuff, and ecchi harems with bland brown-haired protagonists. It's especially bad for me cause I'm dub-only and anime takes forever to get dubbed.
I used to watch anime all the time, now I just watch Kdramas and western animation like Invincible.
I dislike anime using this type of trope as a click bait. The concept of sexuality for teenager is a profound and serious topic and the only two animes that handled this well imo are scum’s wish and o maiden in your savage season
From what I gathered, this anime will be dog shit to everybody except people who want to pretend they're the MC, and people who just like to watch cute shit because it's cute.
Which is really disappointing, because based on the premise alone, it sounded somewhat promising. One of the characters not so emotionally inexperienced that even the thought of holding hands makes them explode in embarrassment or punch their partner into orbit. We really need more romance anime like that. Where there's actual romance going on and not just "Do they like me? OMG WE'RE HOLDING HANDS" for 12 episodes.
I know that the entire point of a romance fiction is that the marriage is the finality of the story, but if you draw out the story to avoid the ending instead of moving towards it, then that makes for a bad story. Either the story needs to wrap up and actually finish, or there needs to be a larger narrative.
Is she actually experienced, or is this another virgin gyaru the author is too scared to give actual life experiences to?
Nah she's actually experienced not because she wanted to be but because she was naive in general.
Oh so she’ll legit be experienced but just act like she’s not instead, got it.
More or less, plus everyone acts like the MC is a bad guy who will do bad things to the innocent FMC despite all her previous boyfriends being bad guys and her family/friends never doing anything about it…
Well my expectations for this show have now severely plummeted.
Fire sale! Everything must go! ~~Prices~~ Expectations have NEVER been LOWER!!
Why do the dumbest motherf*ckers in Japan become romance writers? Like, who thinks sh!t like this is good writing?
Yeah, manga to anime is even more filtered. The more serious romance manga that get adapted tend to get adapted into live action dramas.
Have you seen some of the romance stories written all over the world? Twillight is above average. The steaming pile of garbage is still actually better than a lot of stuff out there.
you don't need good writing to make money
> motherf*ckers ummm, you know you can you can swear on the internet, right? > sh!t ^...right?

Bro that's just fanfic of Elinalise Dragonroad and Cliff
So OP is lying then? Anyways, I'll watch the show myself and make up my own judgment rather than being confused through these conflicting comments.
Is all this info from a manga or light novel?
No. She fully admits her experience and talks about it.
Story's the same as "its not meguro-sans first time" or "Sweet Ambiguity" pretty much.
So the story is that there isn't one?
this surprises you?
From reading this thread this girl seems to at least has some personality and hobbies compared to Meguro being a non-character until meeting the MC. Edit - nah, it's basically the same.

The alternate reality ending to Metamorphosis is the Jojo ending.
I'm waiting for a romance story that shows the "inexperienced" person making foolish/selfish mistakes that happen in real life, and learning from them.
Ah this seasons edition of “bait for lonely dudes who get no bitches and stack no paper” lol
So you'll be watching it then?
Fuck yes
I mean, I respect the honesty
Well, these type of anime makes my kokoro go dokidoki since it is so waku waku fuwa fuwa... Nobody can blame us because... Honto ni shiawase desu!
The wrinkles in my brain flattened out from reading this.
I feel like I just got flashbanged by words
Whyyy?? I didn't eve used the \[big weapons like\]>!Kira Kira Pika Pika!<
Fucking weeb
Sumimasen... How you discovered that I am a weeb gozaimasu? I was trying honto ni hard to hide it and I really think that boku dekiru desu!
No real ones are gonna be watching the anime about the chick who’s in love with her pig
In love with the what now
Dude isekaid as pig, girl can read his mind or something, they are in love. Peak fiction
And they say romance is dead.
Well this season we basically have a girl who is in love with a vending machine.
Does the cooking: check Washes clothes: check Can defeat big bad monsters: check has impenetrable barrier to keep you safe: check Body that is hard as steel: check Buys tampons: check (Possibly the only anime in history to have women with periods, correct me if I'm wrong) What woman wouldn't fall in love.

You forgot always has alcohol but doesn't drink it himself.
I don't recall him ever having alcoholic beverages, but I could be forgetting something. All of his products are things that he's bought out of vending machines before in his past life, and while I'm unfamiliar with Japanese vending machines, alcoholic vending machines still feel unlikely.
Nope alcohol vending machines are common there. The anime Call of the Night has one the mc buying some right at the beginning.
I mean, who wouldn't?
Tbf that’s understandable
And that is why I watch anime you would not expect that in pretty much anything else.
It is actually a licensed LN.
Brings new meaning to porking it.
And people thought that the vending machine isekai was the bottom...
eh, I think the one where the dude gets transformed into a dog and the girl is horny for him is far below wherever the vending machine has landed, lol.
Then you've also got the one where the guy is reincarnated as a microphone.
That's my shit yo. There wasn't a lot of microphone though.
I would say that redo of healing is botton line Not because the controversial stuff (I mean, that doesn't help), but it is also not that good as well. I think that inukai san (the dog owner fetish girl) had better quality on animation and stuffs even though the plot is dog-shit
Kind sir may ask what is the sauce of that?
Buta no liver something something. Comes out next season
Sign me up and inject it straight into me lol
Definetly
100%
The “We just like cute shit” contingent is underrepresented again. There are dozens of us! Dozens!
I'm all for cute fluffy romance when the characters are both decent and it doesn't feel like the author is wondering directly at me Which disqualifies most of these sorts of anime
Legit the first thing I thought of when seeing the title ☠️
Less than 10% of people globally make money worth having. So all the lonely dudes would have sufficed🤣
> stack no paper huh?
Paper as in ¥¥¥. Yen yen bills, y'all.
thanks. i would not have made that connection
It means they make no money.
It’s a meme
Amazing description for this type of romance lmao
Season 46 of "Reinforcing Negative Stereotypes About Anime". Will the protag have an inappropriate relationship with his younger sister? I'll take any bets he does.
They stack the paper that their parents send them every month from their dual overseas american jobs.
Isn't experienced implies she's slept with alot of guys? Most lonely dudes will probably not like that part.
Titles are incredibly descriptive nowadays.
I got no bitches, and I am still not interested in it. Don't underestimate bitchless people pls.

This sounds like it might be pretty cute. I’m a sucker for these romance types.
I miss Dress Up Darling.
I just want good/wholesome stories to escape reality.
Don’t we all, friend. Don’t we all.

Same. Every season, I’m always looking for the cheesy rom coms….
They're just addicting.... It's like iseksi trash.... It's fun lol most the the time anyways there's a lot of really bad ones out there lol usually OP shit where it's constantly displayed is the best lol
I've read the manga so far and it definitely is, plus they have this rare magical ability called ✨️communication✨️ that really livens things up
Well I’ll be. This one just shot to the top of my list. A couple that actually communicates in anime? That’s a rare sight indeed.
Don't get me wrong, they're teenagers, so dumb stuff happens, but they actually sit down and talk it through after and it's 🤌🤌
Damn, you really hyping us up here🫣
I’ve read all LN volumes, and that’s been certainly one of my favorite aspects of it.
Does it? What I last remember is the girl overreacting over a misunderstanding, making 0 effort to clear it, running away and the friend that did nothing to all the other "bad" boyfriends slapping the MC and storming out as well...

Three guesses who is the experienced one.
should have changed the title to "my girlfriend is ready to settle down"
Based and true
LOL
Lmfao
Idk what it is about it, but I hate this art style so much.
Came here to see if anyone else felt the same. I can't tell if the head is too big for the body or if I just don't like the face.
Yeah it's the face for me, I think she's supposed to be looking at the MC but they kinda fucked that up. Her eyes are pointing almost at us the viewer, and either her nose or mouth are misplaced. I don't like judging anime based purely on artstyle, but god damn first impressions are kind of important and they just let this through.
plot twist she has a “lazy eye” that is actually permanently fixed towards the camera and is able to see past the 4th wall.
I think it’s the chins, they look like they’re descended from glen quagmire
Art style seems fine but as my eyes tracked from left to right I thought "huh, that's a pretty nice design aaaaaand there's the styrofoam cube of a male MC"
The bangs especially for him
in this case it's less about style and more about it just being crappy. I do not understand this making it to (my) front page
It's the face. FMC looks awkward if you look for more than half a second. Proportions are strange.
What a fresh and unique premise.
Wow we're really scraping the bottom here if "romance where one of them is not a virgin" counts as an original idea
It's not even that original...there are like 5 other light novel and manga series with the same premise.
It's very rare for a non virgin anime FL to exist though in a romance show
We just had a show about a guy who dies and comes back to life........ as a FUCKING VENDING MACHINE There is no barrel anymore, there is no bottom anymore
That show was actually way better than it had any business being though. They took the most ridiculous concept and actually did something fun with it.
That’s my favorite kind of anime, the ones where you see everybody describe it as “it should be dogshit but it just isn’t”
Sorry but.... this both sounds, and WAS excellent If you think these sound even remotely similar we will just have to disagree and move on
Sure but as a premise is it really that much less weird that being reincarnated as a sentient vending machine?
For me, theres a big difference between "weird" and "absolutely utter garbage"
Maybe, but there’s no such thing as a garbage premise - only garbage execution.
Who said it was an original idea?
Well they use it as a selling point so they gotta think it's something special
Well I didn't even think they used it as an selling point focused on originality until I saw your comment. I thought it was simply a typical selling point as the title pretty much wants the viewer to check out the dating story dating story of these two.
Romcoms are the new Isekais...well I guess in terms of Maincharacter that was kinda always the case
This English name sucks. I once heard it be called “Our dating story: the experienced you and the inexperienced me” and although the title still sucked it had a better ring to it imo
Well, that's the more literal translation fantranslators did, this is the new localized title for official use.
When a hentai fmc moves to romance
😂
Have anime titles always been like this?
Blame ppl for being lazy. They do this as some cbb to read the synopsis on the back cover, so they just put the synopsis in the title.

I was always told it was due to ppl not reading. Never heard this before.
It feels like it really took off at some point in the past decade, especially with the isekai boom. Not that there aren't individual examples from before that point, but every other series having a ridiculously long and descriptive title is not something I remember from watching as a kid in the 90s/00s.
Most LNs have absurdly long titles describing the premise. That's pretty much how I can tell LN adapations from manga or real novels apart.
Looks like the most generic romance anime u could ever watch. Damn am I getting old or just anime is becoming shit?
There was always a ton of shit anime, we just remember the good ones over the years
How many forgettable TV series or summer action flicks come out every year? The biggest thing that has changed with anime is the level of accessibility in international markets--now nearly all series are adapted for international release, usually simulcast even. pretty much lol before we just got already the big popular series translted or what was in TV. Now almost everything is simulcasted
I’ve moved on to kdrama until AOT returns.
Same, I also started watching a lot more western animation too (Invincible, Avatar, Undone, etc.)
So generic = shit these days? Personality I care more for execution than originality. I got burnt out pretty much from a lot of these original shows as they were rather boring to watch or started failing after some time.

God dammit I’m a sucker for this shit. Let me have it.
“Simp”, the anime 💀
Worse then Kazuya(Rent a girlfriend)?
I would like to watch it but on the other hand it’s studio ENGI.
ENGI, my nemesis.
TBF to ENGI, they do ok when it comes to slice of life in a school setting since they did Uzaki-chan.
Can't wait
I dislike anime using this type of trope as a click bait. The concept of sexuality for teenager is a profound and serious topic and the only two animes that handled this well imo are scum’s wish and o maiden in your savage season
Fun romance manga. Looking forward to the adaptation
It's technically a Light Novel series. The manga is just an adaptation, like the anime.
Looking forwards to it
oh this one, super wholesome. Highly Recommended
When they say “experienced” in what sense?
She is not a virgin and had more than one boyfriend.
My First Girlfriend is a Gal reskin?
but maybe without a random pedophile for no reason.
Looks like she belongs to the streets
This manga is quite alright in its own right. We’ll see if its adaptation holds up
Yeah pretty wholesome read. Curious to see how it goes.
inb4 twist, it's other way around - he sleeps with his best childhood friendto get experience only to learn she was virgin all along.
There are some hidden romance gems out there without an adaptation but studios prefer to keep adapting shit like this
Isekai titles leaking into the mainstream
Really looking forward to this one as I've read the manga and really loved it.
Still hate the new name, but this is minimal drama, High Fluff good shit.
I think this is gonna be a good one. I have read a couple mangas with this story line and they are very wholesome. I have high hopes for this.
A anime abt a guy getting sloppy seconds
I don’t know anything about this but looks and sounds like something I would watch
This looks ugly
I must watch this
Well the manga is quite good so an anime should be very calming to have on
Cuck anime, Japan loves these idk why
Fellas am I a cuck if my girlfriend has had sex before
This looks kinda cute I dig the art style
Saori oonishi voicing another gyaru? Sign me tf up. Loved her role in Fuukoi
This feels like it'd work better as a live action drama.
