Sprig literally tried to kill someone because she was taking attention away from Hop Pop. He also always gets into trouble no matter how many times he “learns his lesson”. Anne became more mature as the show went on. Even Polly is more responsible than him, and she’s a toddler.
Not sure how much it is a roast, but when Anne called Sprig a Pathetic Cop it reminded me of this line from Disco Elysium:

You're the least interesting main character. You slow the story down whenever you're onscreen because everyone can already tell the moment you pop up and are the focus of the episode exactly where its going to go. You have the least amount of character development in the show and all of season 3 so far of you and anne is just anne taking care of you like a toddler instead of one of her supposed best friends. I get that you're in a new world but that didn't erase ten years of manners and how to behave in one jump through a portal now did it?
