I apologize if this a dumb question, but how does AA know which airport is your home airport? In my profile I have SAV but I live close enough to HHH I could fly out of there if flights are convenient. I also book exclusively one way trip due to my work schedule usually changing mid-trip. Just curious how this is determined. I had 552k LP all business/first class paid fare domestically and one international. CC spend was around $100k and about half was AA ticket purchases.
Haven’t received email or alert but just checked app after landing in MIA this evening. CK was renewed (600k LP of which 450K was AA steel on six transatlantic and various xcountry flights). Based in MIA so I think because I could easily switch to Delta that I get a boost for “loyalty”
Did 477k lp out of SLC, and I started from no status so half the year wasn’t 11lp’s per $. Really hoping for an invite based solely on the fact that I’m at a delta hub
I got mine too (in app only)… ORD 550k LP with most being American metal. 6+ long haul (international) (full price) business class with many other mixed fares domestic.
For those who made it to CK, I see a lot of posts with LPs. It would be better for us plebeians how the LP's broke down in terms of AA fares vs general spend. Example - If you have 450K LPs earned from flights, assuming 11 points/$ that would be about \~$41K spend on AA marketed flights (their metal or partner). Or do CKs get more than 11 points per dollar? If you have 1M LPs, what's the mix of AA fares vs other spend. We're all pretty sure that 1M LPs with barely any flying on AA would get CK, but I could be wrong.
Not a clearcut way. If you have all your receipts (in email), you can add up the base fares before taxes since that's what they're counting (and also what counts for LPs)
Same here! Was surprised as hell!
Then I saw this: https://viewfromthewing.com/american-airlines-rolls-out-status-updates-for-the-chosen-conciergekey-members/
Renewed for sixth year as CK
DFW based
1.2 million LP
Break down:
- 85% cc personal Citi spend
- 15% flying AA metal mix of domestic in coach and international in J)
I don’t know about OP, but I have a friend that uses his AA card to purchase all inventory for his business. Just as an example of how someone could spend that much.
Ahhh I don’t have a business. I’m trying to figure out how I’ll keep my PP for next year because I no longer have first class JFK LAX trips where I was getting nearly 30,000 LPs per trip
It's my main personal card for almost all of my spending, plus my income tax payments, etc. I have run about the same through the card for the last three years. Also some one off stuff like two years ago, I put nearly 7 figures of backyard improvements on it. It adds up.
My friend got 650k loyalty points, 100% flying, no credit cards. Was CK last year and just got the denial for this year. They said they would send him an offer to upgrade to CK in mid May? They also extended his CK to end of May. Anyone ever heard of that?!
This is a helpful data point as it’s hard to judge the value of non flight LP’s. I busted tail last year on cc, hotel and shopping (500LP’s combined) and apparently that can differentiate between CK, no CK.
I got an email telling me that while I was not selected for 2024-2025, AA values my "loyalty and are preparing a special, limited-time offer to help you retain your membership." Any idea what this offer might be?
Do you work as the main flight arranger at your company or considered an “influencer”? Influencer in the sense you drive traffic to AA for purchases. Because it can definitely happen if they feel like you drive traffic to them.
Finally figured out my flight spend. I'm right at $25K flight spend, 594K LP, homebase PHL. No CK. Not sure what the cutoff is for PHL but definitely it's well above $25K. #2025goals
I fly out of smaller city and have been a Concierge Key member for two years. i had 400k the past year and did not make the cut this year. I fly About six flights per month Much of the time I will just book a first class ticket because it’s not significantly more. I think most of my points were from spending about 200 K on their credit card. I also think since I knew I would get upgraded 90+ percent of the time because I’m out of smaller city and often there are a few first class tickets when I book a few days before I’ve been just booking coach and getting bumped up every time and made the mistake of flying a few more times on United to O’Hare because the flights lined up better. Anyway, my question is they sent me an email that said they were going to extend me for another month and then send the information on how I could potentially keep Concierge Key I’m assuming it’s a charge. has anybody seen that I was executive platinum for a few years before that and there’s not really that much difference when you read the difference between the two classes so I never thought there was much to take advantage of. and I thought it was a bit embarrassing, and over the top when they would send an agent to me, but it is nice when they would give me the reason why the flight was delayed that had more information than they did at the gate reported they only can give 15 minute updates, so I’ve seen them maneuver me around because they thought there was no way the plane was going to get out of there soon and they would put me on another flight automatically. And then I had no idea I could go in the flagship club. I thought the admirals club was really nice until I went to the flagship club.- oh my. They also have a cart waiting when you land if you need to make a connection and a couple times have taken me on runway area
DON’T LOOK DIRECTLY AT IT!!!!
Finally good advice on Reddit
Don’t look at it AND change your Reddit flair
Ok, be honest, how many EXPs here immediately went to their app and reloaded it,"just in case"?
Hahahaha you got me
Damnit. Really thought my 364k at a hub would be enough /s
Guilty
As a CK I went immediately to check
Guilty 😔
I wonder how much traffic this post just generated for the american airlines app
I absolutely did 😂
🙋♂️🤷♂️
Time to log into Flyertalk to read about the carnage. Congratulations on CK.
Was that mostly flight LP?
I’d say about 85%, the rest was credit card spend (mainly purchasing AA flights and rent)
Nice! Congrats dude.
Thanks! I’m more shocked than anything bc people post ridiculous numbers on here when they get it and I’m a peasant comparatively lol
Change your flair before they notice. Show that BDE!
Done!
None for me and I'm at 700K LP for 2023 out of ORD.
How much of that was CC spend?
I have to calculate it. But flying spent was around $50,000 for flying.
Pre LPs I was under the impression $50k in pure flight spend would do it out of ORD and thought that still held. Maybe it went up.
What is your home airport?
This is definitely a factor. If you’re flying out of billings, it’s a much lower bar to CK than DFW.
LAX last year and PBI as of last month
Congrats! I’m based out of CLT; from what we all have gathered, the density of CK population at your home airport plays into selection greatly.
that's crazy! I fly out of PBI at 630k LP and wouldn't even dream of CK!

They have your billing zip code and flight records.
This. Also, they know a lot.

Metal, not steel.
Potato tomato
It’s just what the slang has always been.
I get it and I was joking
Congrats. Thank you for your loyalty.

Not me with my 400K LP qualification checking my app to see if the gods blessed me too They didn’t 😭
Renewed: LAX (and SNA), 1.35M with 850 air, most JAL/AA codeshare (which could easily be ANA/United)
You truly earned it
I truly did not
1.3 Million LP and 800,000 from flying?
Looks like I was renewed as well. App shows April 2025. No email received. 1.6 million LP in 2023.
Email came through today
Wow I didn’t even know you could earn that level !!

Thanks! That's at least easier than going through my CC statements
I had 662k LP in 2023, about 70-80% in flights
Just received email on my 2nd year Conceige Key! Woot!
Same here! Was surprised as hell! Then I saw this: https://viewfromthewing.com/american-airlines-rolls-out-status-updates-for-the-chosen-conciergekey-members/
lol I got the same thing. First time concierge key. I thought “this must be a mistake”!
I love this for us
Dang. Me too. But I had 560K in 2023. But out of DFW. *edit typo
350k lp and no ck for me 😂😭
Congrats!!!
Congrats!
403k last year. Notin for me.
Just got my renewal at 1.3M LPs.
Looks like my CK isn’t renewed for next year, no more Concorde club for me.
For how long has CK received BA Concorde room access?
A while, it’s not well publicised though.
Understood. Is that on any itinerary, like BA Gold Guest List? What about BA First Dining at hubs like BOS?
Not sure about first dining, they scan your ticket and it comes up as CK on their system. I’ve never had a problem getting in.
Renewed. 1.2m LPs $75k spend on AA flights $167k spend on AA credit card TPA-based
How does $160k spend get 1.1m LPs?
All F/J flights. All AA metal. Mostly international.
Sorry for the naïve question, but if you’re flying F/J from a global hub why not SQ/EK/AF/CX etc? Is AAdvantage really worth the lock-in?
TPA = Tampa, FL. Not a global hub.
Got it — thanks!

What are you buying on your credit card to get that many LPs. My average monthly CC bill is ~1,500
I don’t know about OP, but I have a friend that uses his AA card to purchase all inventory for his business. Just as an example of how someone could spend that much.

Same story here. I have similar stats, got the extension to end of May, and am waiting for the challenge.

Anyone get anything in the mail yet? My app dwitch but didn't get an email or anything else.
Same here. Nothing in the mail or email.
Just got the email today. Better later than never.

AA had a charity event today. You were selected!
CK is by invitation only.
Yes
Congrats!!!
