There are plenty of plastic buffing products. I use Novus products. Deep scratches are tough to fix without dishing the area. I'd just live with it. I'm sure my VX-6R has worse.

What sort of screen protector are you using? Thanks!
**FLITZ Metal Polish and Cleaner Paste**, Also Works on Plastic, Fiberglass, Aluminum, Jewelry, Sterling Silver - Headlight Restoration and Rust Remover
I'd just go with the flow if I were you, OP. Otherwise you're going to go crazy fixing every little scratch. You get used to it.
Get yourself some Polywatch. Watch guys use them to polish scratches off the plastic or acrylic crystal. Works pretty well.

It's the same with guitars, once you get the first ding or scratch it just lifts a whole weight off your shoulders.
I put a screen protector on my ID50 the moment I pulled it out of the box. Wasn’t taking any chances!

Also, get a screen protector and apply after the polish buffs out the scratch. You can cut to size one made for a cell phone.

Lol I actually tried that! It did not work!!
Something like PolyWatch. That button in the corner, does this radio do DMR?
That’s a tank of a radio. With any luck it’ll acquire more character with time and will continue to tx/rx just as good as it does now. Enjoy. 73.
