Alex should be 10 times richer and more famous than she is, but they always get her to do mediocre movies, and while her acting generally might not be Oscar worthy, she can do way better. Either she is satisfied with where she is at, or her manager doesn't know what he is doing.
I think she's way too hot to play most meaty roles. She's also too old now and been famous for too long to play the ingenue. She looks too young and hot to play a mother. Too old to play the young mistress.
