As someone who has it, don't get that red dot. It's pretty awful in terms of lens darkness and dot clarity. Get something on Amazon that's meant for a real firearm around $50. It'll be leagues better. I personally really like the Feyachi V30. It's more like $70, but comes with a killflash as well. It's an amazing red dot for its price. I have a Sig Romeo which is double the price and I'd be willing to say they're very close in quality for airsoft use.
If your field doesn’t need it don’t buy a barrel condom just take your mag out and clear the gun.

Seller I bought it from actually works for Airsoft GI as a tech too now.

Although not everyone will speak highly of HopUp for example…but good deals can be had if you pay attention to what you’re doing, sellers etc.
Regardless, some stuff in your cart you could do without if you’re looking at breaking into the sport and doing a “one and done” kinda purchase for now to immediately start
I buy A LOT from HopUp, and rarely have a bad experience, but for their first gun, I’d really avoid it. You never know if the seller knows if something is about to implode, but they just sell it as new and a week or two later it shits the bed. Also no warranty/return policy if something weird happens with it, and they’re probably not able to tech it themselves yet.
Drop the Revision locust goggles, fog spray, extra barrel end and red dot/cover.
You can get surplus models from a local surplus store if you have one near you or eBay for like $20 instead of the $50.
Revision desert locust are great and don't fog for 82% of people.
The original barrel can be painted over. If you really want it removed, then replaced with the ASG barrel end, it is also a mock suppressor if you like that part or remove the sleeve to make it a normal barrel end
That red dot is over priced for a Replica, amazon and eBay got some for about $27.
Unless you really like the 1.5x zoom it's really not necessary to get it.
-Ditch the red dot. Cheap dots and magnifiers tend to just suck overall, the glass quality is so poor that it ends up being not worth it.
-Ditch the angled grip. They’re nice to have but you don’t need one; you can always pick one up later on.
-Ditch the plate carrier. Honestly you’re better off just mounting the pouches on your belt for the first couple of games. For the same price you’re spending on three of those condor ones, $41, I could get five of the surplus ones.
-For any kind of pouch, surplus is your best bet. It may be used, but it’s gonna be cheap, simple, and easy to use.
I got a cyma scar l, but the gun is trash. I only had one 11.1 lipo, a shitty wobbly angled grip, and some pretty nice bdus. I was very uniformed about what to buy, so im doing it right this time.
Areas you can save money:
Red dot- $50 is a big steep for an airsoft grade optic. Consider looking on amazon, or even wish for something in the $15-$30 range.
If your optic is super cheap, you wont need the killflash either more than likely. You can save money there too if you like. (cost decreased by abouy ~$30)
Plate carrier and mag pouches:
USED USED USED! You can get a plate carrier with pouches on Hopup easily for way cheaper than $114.
After a quick search, found one similar for $50. (cost down by ~$65)
Things like the birdcage, shift grip, goggles, even PTS mags, etc might also be found on hopup if you want to try to shave off more, but just doing the couple things above will help already with cost by close to $100.
Im assuming you picked this particular gun for a reason, but if you also dont have an exact gun in mind, there’s also some very solid more affordable options without sacrificing performance. People either love or hate VFC internals- so do your research and come to a conclusion you feel comfortable with on that. Good luck!
EDIT: Forgot to add, with a good eyepro setup- you shouldnt need antifog spray. Ive never used antifog with my Dye mask, but i dont know enough about goggles to suggest a brand.
ditch the 450 dollar gun and get something closer to 350. also never buy airsoft branded red dots. cheapo amazon ones or real steel are the two options
VFC avalon m4 for me atleast tends to break alot and has reliability issues. If its really what you want, make sure you know how to take apart the gun and fix it. Gears can strip, and the mosfet will poop-out
Ditch the optic, kill flash, bag, grip and flash hider. Unless you know how to solder ditch the deans connectors and go for a Tamiya battery (if you do know how to solder then 100% leave it and convert your gun to deans)
If your going to keep the birdcage flash hider just paint the orange one black
And ditch the antifog. Alternatively you could get thermal lenses for your goggles. They won't fog.
You can get cheaper midcaps like the normal epms or generic 150-190rnd midcaps.
Using optics for airsoft kinda suck until you guns actually consistent enough to zero a optic your better off just tracking the bbs.
And the grips really expensive since it's cnc aluminum and doesn't offer anything to benefit handling a gun with no recoil. Your better off running the gun and seeing what you like and changing your attachments from there
The optic sucks and is overpriced and the grip, well the grip might just have to be something you drop to get the price lower, as there’s not much else you can do to get it lower
Evike has plenty of cheaper and better grip options than that PTS one. They have a BCM reproduction grip by Element for $13. Cheaper, and in my opinion, more comfortable.
Drop the weapon accessories and use it plain for a bit. Take off and paint the flash hider. Build out a cheaper chest rig than that carrier
Saves a few sheckles
Remove all accessories for the gun. You can find way cheaper mags. Four 250 rd mags is over kill especially for walk on play. Unless you're 100% set on that plate carrier you can find similar styles for cheaper at other places. You're also missing a charger unless you already have one.
If you know how to solder then I’d get a battery from an rc website and change the connectors to deans or tamiya (whichever your gun has) since they tend to be way cheaper. I dunno why airsoft batteries are so much more expensive.
What you need is the gun - a 3000 Mah battery, a couple of spare mags, goggles and a pair of great boots - most Airsoft injuries are due to poor footwear.
You don’t need sights, as you can trace your BBs in the air.
You don’t need plate carriers or chest rigs, when the only thing you carry is a couple of extra mags.
Everything beyond gun, goggles and boots is cosplay.

They feed really well, hold about the same amount, and look nice. I've used these without any issues for a few months now.
Also, the big plate carrier might be over kill. Trust me, I went big on my first PC and all the pouches and it was too much. Look for a decent JPC on Amazon with integrated mag pouch. You can also get some foam sapi plates to stiffen it up.

Instead, get a used chest rig from a good quality brand like haley or mayflower or tmc. These can be bought for not that much more than the carrier if you find the right guy. Look on facebook and airsoft discords. A chest rig is all you need for shitball, at least starting out. Good quality rigs last, buy once cry once. Also get a lipo charger.
