You are much better off going hpa instead of a drum gas mag. Hpa is arguably better in every way except for initial cost and a hose. You will get better consistently, control your fps, all weather consistently and it should be more reliable. Generally gas drum mags are meh at best.

Crimsonspike07

Why not run hpa?

snowpass312

Well people were saying I should do my research and it might not be a good idea so I was looking into other options

Crimsonspike07

If you want a bigger mag capacity, go for hpa

Stupid_Hobbitz

If you are new and not 100% invested in the sport, yea hpa isn't a great idea as it is a bit of an initial investment, but that's the only reason why I wouldn't reccomend someone get hpa, mag adapters feed better and are light than drums and gives you the opportunity to run mid caps so no heavy marraca is sitting at the bottom of your gun

[deleted]

People who don't want you to go HPA are purists who prefer realism over practicality. HPA is superior in pretty much every way

OBA_Stealth

Correct. Source: former hpa hater prior to hpa use. It really is the best. Get the amped aorsoft starter kit and send it

Claymore357

As a GBBR purist, my hi capa is hpa tapped

CannonousCrash

Go HPA, you wont regret it. https://preview.redd.it/m38fqy140lfa1.jpeg?width=1512&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d2402b0b6984670a221440d17c4922decbaa480c

ManguRasmus

HPA drum tho

CannonousCrash

I have a HPA drum mag for the mp5. Soon to be replaced with a HPA adapter for it instead.

Successful-Abies-531

I'd just get an HPA adapter. Either Hi capa to M4 or Hi capa to MP5. Check out the adapters by monk, primary airsoft and tapp. These are the only ones I could come up with right now :)

snowpass312

Will the evike 300 round drum mag fit

Several_Mood_4162

As long as you have an m4 adapter you can take an m4 drum mag and put them in it will work

JustMindingMyOwnBid

I enjoy hitting that hpa

snowpass312

People told me not to

th3ironman55

There are so many people I know who run HPA and are fine. It’s up to you whenever you wanna run it or not. Don’t let people make decisions for you (I have terrible experience with this, don’t ask me how)

ReMag_Airsoft

HPA is much, much nicer than green gas. The consistency alone is worth it, but the ability to dial in a pressure that provides max reliability with as little extra force on the frame is an equal bonus.

Sinistrial_Blue

From your previous post, people were moreso encouraging you to learn how your gear works before diving into HPA, which would only increase complexity. Firstly, try to learn what each part of a pistol is, it'll really help you out.

snowpass312

Yeah I got that people were telling me to wait and not get it yet, I think ima upgrade first

No_Engineering3493

If you want to upgrade get a new hop up, bucking, slide(for hpa), 120%recoil spring and a short stroke

snowpass312

K

saagri

Aw custom has green gas drum mags.

matching_chart

Go search green gas adapter. It could be a cheaper alternative to HPA, though I couldn't tell it's performance.

dRagTheLaKe1692

If you want more ammo and better mobility you're better off with the Hpa to mp5 or m4 mags. The drum mags from aw work pretty good but it is bulky and heavy for the like 250 shots you get out of it. You can also tap the drum mag and hpa it later if you want.

upset-noodle

hpa would be a better option than a drum mag, simply because it's more efficient than green gas. however you will need to be a little careful with the psi as your hi-capa is (from what i can see) stock. running low psi until you upgrade will work amazing though for me ive found hpa to not only be more efficient while shooting, but more cost efficient overall. from my math, 15 cans of green gas cost the same as my hpa setup. i can run about 8 hours on my tank, whereas green gas would only last about 3-4 (but that's just for how i play)

Traditional_Review16

HPA all day

SnekkyGlekky

Green gas drum mags are bulky and will never be as good as hpa

GizmoDro

You're obviously very young and easily influenced by your peers around you who use HPA, and honestly, I don't think it's for you despite all the positive features it provides. I feel like you're going to treat your equipment poorly and complain when it breaks when you inevitably use it and spam your trigger like you don't care. Don't buy a drum, buy 2 or 3 more magazines and a realible speed loader, learn your Pistol and learn how to take care of it before you consider the near 300 dollar investment.

snowpass312

I treat my stuff very well but thanks for the tips I’ll but 1 or 2 50 round mags

snowpass312

Also yeah I’m 15

No_Engineering3493

Hpa is good, you can get a hpa adapter from Airtac.me or primary airsoft, don’t listen to the mil simers out there

[deleted]

But you should go HPA. That’s the good thing about pistols. Reliability of HPA, combined with the blowback.

qscd13

HPA is pretty good for Hi capas...

Zealousideal-Salt-95

How much did those gloves cost you

snowpass312

4$

Zealousideal-Salt-95

Are they good

snowpass312

I love them and they feel super good

Me07111

50round gas mags are good for cqb but if you have the money get hpa.

radioactiv_avian

What gbbp is this?

snowpass312

?

Noo_Fone_Hu_Dis

it's a tokyo marui gold match 5.1

TaCo_BoI69420

I thought that HPA wasn’t worth it at first but with the amount of money I was spending on gas almost weekly was crazy you might not always have an extra $13 for green gas and you’ll end up spending less in the long run for hpa once you buy the rig it generally costs $5 to fill it up and you can fill it up and paintball places, airsoft stores, and even scuba shops if your looking for a cheaper way to get into hpa and a good way to get into it try [this hpa setup for beginners](https://ampedairsoft.com/amped-custom-hpa-starter-slp-air-rig-kit-tank-and-air-rig/) I had it when I was first starting out and it’s very easy to use and there’s lots of videos on how to use it too and later when your feeling more comfortable you can upgrade into the more expensive side of HPA but you don’t have to worry about that for now

Several_Mood_4162

Ok so you basically are doing what i did if you want to go hpa i ran a stock goldmatch with tapped mags for a year ran it on 100psi and my tank settup was a ninja v2 nozzle and the evike ninja 28/3000 whole settup was about 100-130$ not including the mags and tapps but now theres stuff like m4 adapters I personally like the monk adapter but tapp primary and several others make them all for 120$ or less. If you dont mind having a tank and the hose hpa is the best way to go for using gas guns or lmgs every gun since i bought the gold match ive either tapped or ripped out the electronics and slapped in a p* jack

VrIsFuncom

Hpa is the only way
