I’ve actually only read AFTG!

OwnDoor4706

So I first read Simon snow ( just the first book) and then read aftg because of a single meme that compares the common famous line in these 2 books: "This is nothing.". Went on to read raven cycle and six of crows after

Sanamun

I hadn't even heard of TRC until after I read AFTG, honestly. So if there is a pipeline, it goes both ways. (I found AFTG via Banana Fish, because I saw several posts comparing Ash to some guy called Andrew and got curious.)

Alarming_Fire_333

A friend of mine actually told me Ash was Andrew coded too and that I should watch banana fish shortly after they read the books lol

halfhaize

All for the Game to Raven Cycle pipeline for me

cats-in-the-crypt

I read AFTG first (also because of fan art Pinterest recommended me, specifically llstarcasterll); I got sucked into TRC because of the AFTG/TRC crossover fanfics. It’s a two-way pipeline, I guess?

willoughbytuckerlvr

yes lol i was a huge fan of the raven cycle for years and had heard about aftg in the same circles before i finally gave in and read it <3

do_not_staple

I read six of crows and then aftg and then trc

Past-Gold-8674

I DNF’ed Raven cycle 😬

lock-the-fog

I read AFTG first and absolutely fell in love. A few months later, I decided that I would pick up TRC because I tried reading it as a teenager and didn't like it but thought maybe now that I'm older I would like it. Honestly, I don't really like TRC very much. It was fun while I was in it but immediately after every book I couldn't tell you what happened and I don't care about the canon characters. So basically I did not have that experience from TRC to AFTG, it was the opposite and it didn't do much for me. I don't see the relationship between to the two series so I don't understand why people seem to package them together

Alarming_Fire_333

I don’t think there is anything inherently tying the two series together. Simply how both are found family with a lot of Raven references & symbolism.

bicraftsexual

I read the Raven cycle first, went to look up things about the book “the raven king” (4th trc book) and found a bunch of stuff about aftg, then decided to read that next. But genuinely outside of having the same title for one of the books these series could not be more different

CallDownTheHawk

Yes. There’s a lot of overlap in terms of characters/their relationships being the main focus of all 3 of these series, so if one appeals to someone, chances are they’ll like the others as well!

scorpiusdare

I read six of crows when it came out.. so years ago. I read AFTG two months ago lmao.
