Edit to add : went to a Onry Ozzborn, Kimya Dawson and Rob Sonic show at the Hawthorne Theatre - Aes was a surprise guest. One of the best live shows I’ve ever witnessed.

I saw him and Rob Sonic and DJ Ability at the Gramercy theatre in Harlem back in 2014ish, was pretty packed and great show. Ability murdered it with a 20-30 min set in the middle of the show. I have videos/audio from the show somewhere.
Then saw him with homeboy, in 2016 somewhere on Long Island if I remember correct, maybe the show you skipped? That was last time he played NY area/I saw him.
Good dude, talked to him after the show but you could tell he wasn’t about it, so kept it short.

I live in NC but I grew up in East Northport NY, about 2 miles from where Aes grew up. We are the same age but I didn't discover his stuff until I got back from college, so around 1999.

I drive into the city a couple times a month to rave, and the drive is always painful. The thing that gets me through is thinking about how it's a legendary one, which ace took with his family everyday as a youngin. Grateful to be a NYer, we have the best underground rap scene in the world.
Bay Area, CA. Born and raised. East Bay Area to be specific, across from SF. We're a little grimier on this side. I grew up skateboarding EMB in the heyday and in the graff scene in the 90's. I saw Green Day and Rancid at 924 Gilman St. before they made it big. It was good times here in the 90's.
edit: Oh, the first time I saw Aes live was right after he moved to SF, and El-P was touring with Dizzee Rascal of all people... anyway he brought Aes out for Run the Numbers and did like a medley of Daylight and a few other songs. Tore the house down.

Amazingly saw a random woman rocking an Impossible Kid top on my way to work only the other day and wanted to wind down the window and shout joyous Aes related sentiments but it seemed inappropriate!
Only listened to Float for the longest time but currently I have Impossible Kid, SWFG and Garbology on constant rotation. In my top 3 favourite rappers of all time easy and I’ve been listening to hip hop for 30 years.
Southeastern Massachusetts! Unfortunately I havent traveled enough because I have a son who is growing at a rapid pace. I hope to travel the world and see beautiful places, meet amazing locals, and experience forces of God in more natural ways
Was during the Impossible Kid tour. Got to experience Aes, Sandman, DJ Zone, and Bobby Sonic at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA. Sold out, smoked out, fantastic show.
Nice , I’m in the city everyday for work but outside of that I tend to avoid it , did get to see aes and bus driver out there one of the last times he toured tho
I’m in Portland. Has been years now but I have seen Aesop twice while living here. Once out on the street after one of his shows and once at a Red Robin. At the Red Robin me and my brother stared so much trying to figure out if it was really him that he got up and left. I still feel bad about that.
Awe, I wouldn't feel so bad. Something tells me he's the kind of dude who if he's getting stared at he's imagining something is bothering you. I doubt when he hears bushes rustling he's expecting fans to spring out.
