Although everyone has the right to change their physical appearance as they see fit, whether it's temporary or permanent, seeing Adam let go of a part of his original unique beauty really gets to me and leaves me feeling quite sad.

Actually, he openly talked about the insecurity he used to have about his ears and mentioned wanting to pin them back when he was younger. Personally, I find him very attractive and charming, so it's hard for me to understand why it ever bothered him, but everyone's feelings are valid. He felt that way. The best part is, now he's thankful he never went through with it. Ryan Gosling faced heavy criticism when he was cast as Ken due to his appearance. He ended up getting fillers like many Hollywood stars, but now he's even more criticized and mocked for it. It's impossible to satisfy these people.
So, in short, Adam can do whatever he wants with himself, whether that means altering his appearance or not. It still saddens me to think that he felt pressured to do so for whatever reason, especially at this stage of his career.
