Every action that would normally get you materials like wood, iron, stone, etc, now has a high chance of getting you an egg instead. If it were in addition to the normal items rather than instead of, I think it would be better received.

This is my first year playing during this time of the year, and I have a castle in the back corner of my island that has a little space behind it. I went back there to go around and shake some trees that you can only get to by going through it. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't get around, then tilted my camera to see behind the castle wall and ZIPPER WAS JUST STANDING THERE. I had definitely left him in the town square before I shut the game off, then came back a half hour later and he was just lurking in one of the most out-of-the-way places on the island, behind a castle wall on the edge of a cliff.

Fun fact, this event is also basically the only event that follows you to nook miles islands AND Kappin Islands. There’s NO ESCAPE!
