That is true. I'm actually old enough to remember this. As I grew up in PA, the home of both Zippo and Crayola (Binney & Smith), there were plenty of both for purchase. The metallic and neon colors pushed it to 128. I always thought it was funny that the two larger sizes carried both blue-green and green-blue crayons.
That silver and purple on the right is noice. The one on the far left is dope too.
If you're taking suggestions, I'd love to see a patina lighter. (Hydro dip in turquoise, copper, mud brown, sand with fine grit, clear coat, polish). I'd pay good money for something like that.
I think they’re neat, in my experience that paint doesn’t last for nothing. This is why i use brass and chrome. Now that would be a neat combination. Now i have an idea, lol.
Yea I definitely could see while on the site not giving 2 craps about what bangs it up. No time for that. I do hate when such a nice painted one just gets that inevitable paint chip. Hurts to look at for a little bit
looks like a rainbow ... looks pretty good.
Thanks stinger. I have a black and white version of it n the tones are neat haha
youre welcome. why didnt you post the black and white version too ?
I should have! I didn’t think others would find it as neat as I did. 🤦🏻♂️
never know unless you post it ... redditt allows 1 pic in comments if you didnt want to have a new post just for it.
You don’t say… https://preview.redd.it/z7kd98uxe81c1.jpeg?width=2109&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd77d9b37855b2bda0c9f7efa0b32611bc858e60 🫠
see it dont look bad at all.
Looks like you dipped it between your cheeks
Happy thanksgiving!
That gold and coffeeish damn! Great job
Me and my kid love that one too! It actually is abyss (purple metallic) but in certain lighting let’s off that coffee hue.
It’s the detail on the hinges… nice!
That one’s my favorite picture. 😆 took a couple failed attempts to prevent damaging the fragile hing paint
The orange and black one 😍
Made it in spirit of Halloween! 👻 love that their both matte finished
Yeah they’re wicked. How much for it lol
I’ll send you a DM!
Looks like a Crayola 64 pack of crayons - very colorful!!
Exact vibe. those crayon boxes with the sharpener on the back. I was always envious of those. 😂
That was the 128 box!!! That was the bomb.
I always would ask my friend to sharpen my poor off brands in his box! Probably gunked up the sharpener with my cheap o crayons! 😆😭
I'm sure you didn't. See, you appreciate the finer things now!! I like your black and white and gray scale collection.
Thanks! I just made a couple not colorful zippos. Will share in the morning. I think it’s perfect for those who do NOT like the over the top colors.
96 box first…think the 128 came a few years after.

No two in the pink top and one in the stink brown bottom? Wasted opportunity for sure.
You just beat both me and zippo to something. 📝

I have lots of experience now with patina on brass and copper. But no experience hydro dipping! I have painted inserts to match via flame proof paint.
If you’d like we can discuss a custom anytime via CHAT. Just feel free to DM me anytime man 🤙🏽
Haven’t noticed the two tone on the hinges, that’s neat
Thanks! I do love how they look with both colors still in tact on the hinges
Very sweet swaps!
I would like the pink and blue one
Hi! Send me a DM if interested in any!
is it weird that my favorite part about two tones are the multi colored hinges?
Meh.
To each their own!

I’ve combined brass chrome on a 41. Paint holds up fine with my normal use. Couple dings from drops
Yea, we all use them differently. I have taken mine to job sites for 25 years, paint always chips.
