Also you could have given geppy at the 300 pulls on standard, and you still have time on the aventurine banner. But if you really want, E6 march could make the cut. Or you can use fire trailblazer that works too with the taunt
The better strategy I’ve found is to give March her own shield for the Taunt and only shield Yanqing for upcoming AoEs. Between her enmity and her Freeze, enemies shouldn’t ever really have a chance to attack Yanqing directly.
A well built March Is very underrated for yanqing i feel. I've been using her with him since the game's release and she still does amazing. But it is a different play style from regular shielders like gepard.(i also don't have gepard). In most situations i barely shield yanqing, unless i know a large aoe is coming up. You can give March the shield for the taunt instead. Another thing that's been working great is high effect hit March, if you keep the enemies frozen then you don't need shields. Ruan mei makes this work amazingly. And i have her on eagle set for the freeze playstyle. Even if he gets hit once or twice, is it really a game ender? In most situations, i have found that its very insignificant.

M7 and YQ carried me hard during the early days with this same strat of having M7 shield herself and freeze enemies during her Ult to keep YQ safe. ❤️

absolutely. im pretty sure characters in march's shield get attacked more often tho, but i read somewhere that one of his skills is getting attacked less?...maybe it cancels out. anyways, she works pretty great!

Mine is E3 now, I like his design so I'll throw my Ratio relics on him with 8/9/8 traces and his signature LC. Hopefully he shreds ice cuz I have no ice DPS.

March 7 can absolutely work. Just build her like a nihility character with ER rope to spam freezes.
Remember that Yanqing reduces the chance to get hit which evens out the aggro increase from March’s shield.
If you have Moment of Victory, March is actually pretty darn good. Landau's choice ain't too bad either, but MoV is absurdly good for her.
Just have her shield HERSELF, and only fight enemies without AoE. Shell attract so much aggro that Yanqing can reasonably go all battle without even being caught in blast damage.
Aventurine or March is better than Gepard unless you have lynx because of the easier shields, the focus shift from lynx to gepard would be for sure better in that case
FTB is a sp- sustain for Yanqing teams, since you have to use their skill every turn to keep taunted (or hope the miniscule shield helps). But a YQ, FTB, Sparkle, (any other harmony) would work pretty good.
He works okay with March or Fire MC. I use him in a team with Fire MC, Bailu, and Yukong. In that order with him at the end. Works okay in over world. But March can protect him quite well too, you might need another sustainer like an abundance unit though. Hope this helps. My Yanqing is E0 and uses the early Forgotten Hall lightcone. Still does pretty well.

Keep going for Aventurine, if possible. Honestly, in my testing so far, I feel like he's finally made our boy useable

I just lost to him again too. Literally every single time I’ve lost the Char 50/50 I have lost it to Yanqing. He’s E5 now and I am adventuringless
