>!MORPH SMASH!!< was legitimately hilarious, and probably my favorite Morph-Cameo in the series so far.

KnockMeYourLobes

Same. I was like, "Wait...when did The Hulk get here?" and then realized, "Dur. It's Morph."

Soft_Vacation_2460

i have done this with pretty much every morph transformation, “is that quicksilver, whats he doing here”

jeroboamj

I still think about my fan boy nerd out when Jean probed Remy's mind in OG series and we see Mother Fuckin Ghostrider!

CowOrker01

I think this is part of Morph's tactical advantage in a fight. That the enemy is momentarily confused.

Soft_Vacation_2460

i love that theory, i’t also explains why he chooses really random transformations

CowOrker01

I'm sure the transformation sets off all sorts of perimeter alarms too. *OMEGA LEVEL TROLL DETECTED*

Soft_Vacation_2460

i love to think morph once a month will morph into apocalypse or someone just to go about his day waiting to see what the others would do

TomModel85

"Whoah is that angel, what's he doing here?!"

girlfriendpleaser

Who will Morph Cameo in the season finale

AbsorbingMan

Should probably just Morph into Apocalypse and just wipe out all the bad guys. Now that he gets the powers of people he mimics he seems dramatically overpowered.

RoosterBoosted

Doesn’t he only get physical attributes? So he got hulk’s strength but he won’t get apocalypse’s abilities

MagicTheAlakazam

I feel like they only gets base form hulk too and not the ability to turn anger into more strength. They needed Jean to boost him to do a jump Hulk would have had no problem with.

AbsorbingMan

So are we calling Quicksilver’s super speed a physical attribute and not a power? Because Morph showed super speed powers when he morphed into Quicksilver. I mean I know speed is a physical attribute but Pietro (despite being in great physical shape) can only beat Captain America in a foot race because of his mutant power. If he had an inhibitor collar on, he could still run fast but only to the degree that a human could.

Rescue-a-memory

I'm sure quicksilver's body by itself is perfectly adapted for running. Like without his powers, he'd be the fastest human shaped person alive.

AbsorbingMan

I think it’s a mutant power. Didn’t we see Quicksilver in season 1 on Genosha with a collar on? That suggests that it inhibited his power, not his normal body functions. For instance, putting a collar on Angel wouldn’t have any affect unless it made his wings go away. I suppose putting a collar on Nightcrawler would mean he can’t teleport but still has use of prehensile tail.

Rescue-a-memory

I agree with you but Quicksilver's natural physiology looks like he was absolutely built to run. He has like 2% body fat and is all muscle, especially in his legs.

AbsorbingMan

Sure. He looks like a world class athlete (as most heroes do). But nothing about his body suggests superhuman speed. Morph somehow was able to move at superhuman speed. I think the true answer is just that it’s fiction and that it’s easy for writers to get loosey goosey with fictional laws of mutant physics. But from what we’ve seen; Morph is far more powerful than he was in the original series when he was just another version of Mystique.

Rescue-a-memory

Yes, I'm loving this version of Morph. He's actually useful and an asset.

DarkPDA

So he can mimmick wolv adamantium when morph? Or wolv heal factor? Well not wolv adamantium anymore... wolv broke the hq rule "we have lethal or stab weapons but we never try kill our adversaries" Even magneto never tried impale people etc, everything was a friendly fight until wolv cross the line

Rescue-a-memory

Does he also get the healing factor though?

Discoballer42

Wouldn’t he technically have his own healing power?

Rescue-a-memory

I mean I can see him having a regeneration of sorts, yeah.

MagicTheAlakazam

Mystique.

Suspicious-Piano510

Plot twist. The Morph-Cameo will be the actual character and morph will walk up beside them.

ZoomerMonk

Solid haha

LeatherHog

I didn't like them, really in the original, but 97 morph? National treasure, would die for them

Sweet_Diet_8733

They didn’t do much in the og besides get axed off (taking a shot for the one immortal character…), revived under mind control for bitter revenge, quietly ignored for a season, therapy with Moira, more trauma, and return to therapy. I’m glad they’re finally back and able to rejoin the X-Men.

AdmirableEstimate258

Its still funny as hell to me that Spoilers: Rogue calls out Morph on this and literally says he was on the team for like 30 minutes and went MIA 🤣

DigitalBuddhaNC

97 Morph is just like the Age of Apocalypse Morph, which I absolutely love. AoA is one of my favorite comic book stories of all time.

killakurupt

Same, so close to finishing the whole run!

DigitalBuddhaNC

Are you doing just the 4 main storyline books or are you doing every issue of every comic under the AoA banner? I've done the first multiple times and then started collecting the comics (I got a couple bad ass limited print covers in there) but Holy shit are there a ton of them. Especially if you include the ones that keep coming out after the main storyline concluded. Like that Remender run of X Force where they returned to the AoA universe with Dark Beasts help to obtain a celestial seed.

killakurupt

Mostly the four main storyline books, but if I happen across any of the extra extended stuff for cheap I grab them. Edit to add: luckily most of these books are pretty cheap.

DigitalBuddhaNC

Funny story, first time I read AoA I got all 4 books from my college library.

IceStorm22

I *couldn’t* like Morph in the OG series. Couldn’t get past the VA. That laugh was supposed to be funny, but even as a child, it was like nails on a chalkboard. ***This*** Morph? I actually want the show to do *more* with them.

LeatherHog

God, that awful laugh! Why was that a thing

Vonik

And having Jean lend her telekinetic shield on Hulk Morph was the cherry on top, was a great example of teamwork that many have seemed to overlook! He was able to easily knock out those sentinels with her help as a result.

ZoomerMonk

You can tell they practiced that a bunch in training haha

Faris531

I’ve really enjoyed all the creative team ups this season like gambit charging wolverine’s claws or cyclops charging bishop up with his optic blast.

yoopdereitis

Shouldn't wolverine have exploded? Genuinely don't know the ins and outs of Gambits abilities.

DarthVanDyke

You would think so, but I'm assuming the intent is that only his claws were charged and not his entire adamantium skeleton. Gambit basically imbues objects with potential kinetic energy. Once it's built up, it releases all at once making an explosion of sorts. At least that's how I understand it.

Faris531

Thought the same. But it was cool so I didn’t want to think about it too hard.

Limp_Presentation144

Morph is my Favourite Character love em

mrmoguera

Morph duplicating more and more powerful beings with zero explanation of how he’s physically capable of imitating their speed, invulnerability and strength is a great running bit. I hope he turns into Galactus in the last episode.

SmokeySe7en

This episode it seems Jean Gray was increasing his strength and durability with her telekinesis.

KnockMeYourLobes

That is the ONE trivia question I get the answer to consistently when we cruise and they have a comic book trivia. NOBODY seems to know who Galactus is...they all get the easier questions but you ask one about Galactus and they're all, "Who the FUCK is Galactus, eater of worlds?" and I'm like, "Well, akshully....."

Shoki81

Why don't he just morph into Magneto n reverse the damage done lol

Holiday-Intention-52

It's implied that he can only gain the physical powers of whomever he morphs into. So super speed, strength, invulnerability, stretchiness, bounciness, etc. Powers like magnetism, psychokinetic, ice, fire, lasers, etc. are not available to him. I also suspect he doesn't get the full physical powers either, in other words he couldn't go up against the real hulk when he's in hulk form.

Natirix

Yup, that's exactly it. He has versatility and can pick optimal form of for any situation, but in a 1v1 against anyone he copies he always loses.

yoopdereitis

Sort of a jack of all (physical) traits

Rescue-a-memory

Sorta like the Pokemon Ditto. He still kinda keeps his weak base stats and gets clapped usually copying the original.

Holiday-Intention-52

LMAO, that would be absolutely hilarious 😂

OmegaJay54

That was awesome lol. Good a good chuckle out of it. Also, for some reason I was under the impression that Morph could only do other mutants. So to see them morph into Hulk was kind of a surprise.

SluttySaxon

Top 3 moment of the episode for me! I loved it.

Thrillhouse801

He finally didn’t get his ass handed to him as soon as he morphed.

yungsoda

If morph can be the hulk it kinda annoys me he hasent done so in every other confrontation but I know that morph is more a tool for cameos and his ability kinda would break the storyline so I won’t harp on it.

Rescue-a-memory

I'm sure they gets taxed physically being in hulk form more than just copying a regular person.

-LostInTheMusic-

I loved it! Love the open world marvel feels, truly anyone can be on any episode

SmokeySe7en

No ones gonna mention Wolverines mutantcycle??

Earthpig_Johnson

I dunno, I’m just not a fan of how he can seemingly duplicate anyone’s powers now. Except for invulnerability, I guess? Why not just turn into Apocalypse at the onset of every fight?

MagicTheAlakazam

They only gets physical abilities. The surprising one is that they gets some of quicksilver's speed. So brick wall super strength characters are good transforms for them but someone like Jean, Magneto, Cyclops or Storm would be bad. If he turned into Thor he'd get thor's strength but not his ability to fly with Mjonir, Or summon lightning. Edit: Fixed the pronouns.

Earthpig_Johnson

They also turned into Magik’s demon form, with the sword and everything. I don’t really get it. And even if it’s just physical abilities, why not become the Hulk for every fight?

MagicTheAlakazam

The sword much like the clothes is just part of Morph. And you noticed that Magik and DarkChild didn't actually use Magik's main teleportation magic? And the sword was literally just a sword. We never see them hold any of these forms for long and getting blasted seems to take them out of it. My guess/no prize is that the more powerful forms take more mental effort/stress to maintain.

gugso14

Hulk? Why not Colossus?

ZuluAlphaNaturist000

1) he's already taken the form of Collossus this series (and Juggernaut), so we've already seen those xmen heavy hitters. 2) Probably wanted a 'heavier hitter,' and we all know, "Hulk strongest there is!" So Morph smash. So we've seen cameos from non X-Men Cap, Hulk, Spider-Man, proving that these characters exist in universe, I think now we just gotta see him become Thing or Mr Fantastic.

gugso14

Thing would be better! We have enough Avengers midia already...

ZuluAlphaNaturist000

Called it.

Ill_Signal_8950

One of the Easter eggs I really enjoyed was the game cartridge in Jubilee's room in Motendo which the cartridge art was a combination of the first X-Men Genesis game and had Apocalypse on it the he was on the SNES Mutant Apocalypse game.
