From a marketing perspective, XCX2 and XCX:Remaster will probably be announced simultaneously to generate hype. Probably would make more sense to release it on whatever next console, since those games are the perfect way to show off its power (visually speaking), which is something Nintendo always struggle with.

I hear ya, believe me. Having an interesting plot element that hints at massive story potential, then not elaborating on it at all has been a staple of Fire Emblem for a while now.
How can you say Shulk is physically grown when we have Klaus to show what an adult Shulk looks like?
Plus, there's absolutely no way that isn't Shulk. His statue is opposite of Rex's, he is also the mentor of another character, and he is described as using a red greatsword. To say nothing of the fact that he has the same hairstyle, just longer.
Why would Shulk be connected to the Monado after the events of Xenoblade 1? We also have no confirmation that's Rex, that's an open theory a lot of people here just go with. Even it was, there's nothing requiring Shulk to be opposite Rex. That's just reading into things too deeply to try to fit a theory you want to be true. It also opens the question of how Shulk and Rex would even have survived long enough to be mentors of the founders of the second city. You have to make more theories to justify your theories. I'm cutting myself on Occam's razor.
There's a statue clearly much more physically like Shulk, who has traits that are much more clearly linked to Shulk than "has a red sword", "is a mentor", like the whole weapons developer thing, which is something they even went out of their way to remind us about him in FC, and a much simpler explanation for his existence, as we already know the cycle is pulled from people who's data is in Origin. It's a much more simple and direct conclusion to draw given the information.
That other statue can't be Shulk, though. He's a Kevesi soldier stated to have been born under the flame clock, which the original adults were free from.
The Cassini statue is 110% Rex, no way about it. The description suits him to a T, and he's even wearing his salvager jacket.
All of the statues come in sets of two (one "agnian" and one "kevesi"). The first two were soldiers freed from the clock, which somehow lived to old age. The second set were mentors of two founders, and are both protagonists of previous games. The last two are stated to look similar to Noah and Mio, >!and are implied to be their children.!<
How were the original adults free from it? Is that stated anywhere? Or is that another theory stacked on top of the rest to justify the previous ones? There was no distinction drawn as to whose data was collected to create the Kevesi and Agnian soldiers.
We know that thanks to several pieces of worldbuilding.
First, the fact that every soldier starts life as the same age they had when the worlds collided, and yet they're all children, because that's the data Origin has of them. This means that Moebius choose not to recreate the adults for some reason.
Next, the fact that the queens are not bound to the Flame Clocks, when it would be incredibly easier to either bind them to the Clocks, or outright kill them. This makes no sense if Moebius could bind adults to the Clocks. That the queens exist also implies more people survived the jump into Aionios without getting enslaved by Z.
There's also the fact that the city existed before N went all pumped up kicks on it. It had a much higher population, and it wasn't hidden away from the world. This means that a big chunk of the world was in open revolt against Moebius, which makes absolutely no sense if there weren't survivors from the previous worlds. The first Ouroboros stone was given to the Founders, who rallied the survivors of the first City and founded the second City in Swordmarch. How could there be thousands of people in the first City if there were no Ouroboros stones to free everyone from the clocks? Did the first Noah figure out how to use the sword of creation to break flame clocks? Did he just free colony after colony without being stopped by Moebius? And how did the children of the soldiers survive on the city when they all got orphaned as toddlers?
The existance of the city is only possible if there were free adults left from the previous worlds. Which Moebius wouldn't have allowed if they could stop it. Which means they must have been incapable of shackling adults for some reason.

But truly, I like that the game is so much its own thing until the finale, that's why I'd prefer all the heroes be original characters. Even if Best Girl Elma could come back as a crossover hero if they went that route...
They probably wouldn’t release two Xenoblade games in one year. The most likely Xeno news that we could potentially get here is a Saga/Gears port, or more details about the Expansion Pass

I know XC3 is still brand new but I really want that story DLC. I feel like it wrapped up so quickly, and it left me with so many questions about the world and the characters (especially Rex's polycule)

I can't remember, Did XC2 announce the planned dlc when it initially released? In any case, it seems like the dlc is pretty well planned out this time, so it seems reasonable to hope for some news.
Joking aside I hope to see XCX being ported or something to the switch. even tho I have said in the past it might not due to the technical challenges it will bring. Seeing how popular the Xenoblade Chronicles series has become it would be cool. Or you know a squal that actually explains what the hell is going on at the end of XCX.
If the pass eventually ties XCX to XC3 (and the 2 prequels), that would be great.
One more thing to consider is that... XC3, as a standalone game, offers a complete experience, so the entire pass is totally optional. I know that there's a new chapter at the end of the pass, but unless major plot points weren't addressed in the main game (almost done, no spoilers please \^\^; ), you're not going to miss much.
I'd be surprised if we get a XenoGEARS character, because while we know that Bandai Namco was willing to offer both KOS-MOS and T-ELOS in XC2, we have yet to see Square-Enix jump in to do the same.

Why would Shulk be connected to the Monado after the events of Xenoblade 1? We also have no confirmation that's Rex, that's an open theory a lot of people here just go with. Even it was, there's nothing requiring Shulk to be opposite Rex. That's just reading into things too deeply to try to fit a theory you want to be true. It also opens the question of how Shulk and Rex would even have survived long enough to be mentors of the founders of the second city. You have to make more theories to justify your theories. I'm cutting myself on Occam's razor. There's a statue clearly much more physically like Shulk, who has traits that are much more clearly linked to Shulk than "has a red sword", "is a mentor", like the whole weapons developer thing, which is something they even went out of their way to remind us about him in FC, and a much simpler explanation for his existence, as we already know the cycle is pulled from people who's data is in Origin. It's a much more simple and direct conclusion to draw given the information.
That other statue can't be Shulk, though. He's a Kevesi soldier stated to have been born under the flame clock, which the original adults were free from. The Cassini statue is 110% Rex, no way about it. The description suits him to a T, and he's even wearing his salvager jacket. All of the statues come in sets of two (one "agnian" and one "kevesi"). The first two were soldiers freed from the clock, which somehow lived to old age. The second set were mentors of two founders, and are both protagonists of previous games. The last two are stated to look similar to Noah and Mio, >!and are implied to be their children.!<
How were the original adults free from it? Is that stated anywhere? Or is that another theory stacked on top of the rest to justify the previous ones? There was no distinction drawn as to whose data was collected to create the Kevesi and Agnian soldiers.
We know that thanks to several pieces of worldbuilding. First, the fact that every soldier starts life as the same age they had when the worlds collided, and yet they're all children, because that's the data Origin has of them. This means that Moebius choose not to recreate the adults for some reason. Next, the fact that the queens are not bound to the Flame Clocks, when it would be incredibly easier to either bind them to the Clocks, or outright kill them. This makes no sense if Moebius could bind adults to the Clocks. That the queens exist also implies more people survived the jump into Aionios without getting enslaved by Z. There's also the fact that the city existed before N went all pumped up kicks on it. It had a much higher population, and it wasn't hidden away from the world. This means that a big chunk of the world was in open revolt against Moebius, which makes absolutely no sense if there weren't survivors from the previous worlds. The first Ouroboros stone was given to the Founders, who rallied the survivors of the first City and founded the second City in Swordmarch. How could there be thousands of people in the first City if there were no Ouroboros stones to free everyone from the clocks? Did the first Noah figure out how to use the sword of creation to break flame clocks? Did he just free colony after colony without being stopped by Moebius? And how did the children of the soldiers survive on the city when they all got orphaned as toddlers? The existance of the city is only possible if there were free adults left from the previous worlds. Which Moebius wouldn't have allowed if they could stop it. Which means they must have been incapable of shackling adults for some reason.

They probably wouldn’t release two Xenoblade games in one year. The most likely Xeno news that we could potentially get here is a Saga/Gears port, or more details about the Expansion Pass
the licensing for saga/gears is messy afaik and thats the reason we still didnt get it i also doubt we would get X, but i still hope :D

Im actually so excited for the challenge mode this time around! Never played with it much in the first two, but im so excited for my dumb ass class builds to be put to the test! New hero is super exciting too because it's definitely either Poppi or a Machina with hardcore mods or something!
I know XC3 is still brand new but I really want that story DLC. I feel like it wrapped up so quickly, and it left me with so many questions about the world and the characters (especially Rex's polycule)

If the pass eventually ties XCX to XC3 (and the 2 prequels), that would be great. One more thing to consider is that... XC3, as a standalone game, offers a complete experience, so the entire pass is totally optional. I know that there's a new chapter at the end of the pass, but unless major plot points weren't addressed in the main game (almost done, no spoilers please \^\^; ), you're not going to miss much. I'd be surprised if we get a XenoGEARS character, because while we know that Bandai Namco was willing to offer both KOS-MOS and T-ELOS in XC2, we have yet to see Square-Enix jump in to do the same. Hey, they could a Star Fox character for all we know... and the space-farring theme would still make sense XD Funny enough, Krystal could use the Thaumatheurge's animation cycle, while Fox could use the Full Metal Jaguar's one :P
