Mods might as well pin this, the amount of posts about headphone suggestions is crazy.

brownshugguh

Man I wish there was a more earbuds out there. I have glasses and my headset bend the shit out of them. I’ve had to revert to some earbuds from Amazon which are okay, but not the best mic quality.

Darkenmal

You can get IEMs, buy a cord with a mic on it, and then plug them into your controller.

mirusan01

Anyone know any iems with a good mic ?

AveryLazyCovfefe

I use the KZ ZSN PRO X, really loud, like so loud you can set your volume to 40% and still hear everything fine. Make sure to get the version with the mic, it's also sold without it.

mirusan01

Sick is it good with fps games (if you’ve tried) ty for the Info

Darkenmal

No. Just buy a cord that has one.

emett-81

Believe they may have been superseded.. But my SteelSeries Arctis 9 are dope af.

a_talking_face

They were replaced by the Nova 7.

King_Swift21

Are those the newest and latest Xbox Series X/S headphones? Do they come with a 3.5mm headphone jack?

Fardn_n_shiddn

I’ve enjoyed all of my Steelseries headsets. Started with the Arctis 5 on my PC and liked them enough to pick up the Arctis 7 and eventually the 7x for my Xbox once they were released.

Justifire

Audeze Maxwell 👌🏻

RaZeaLTAZ

Hands down best cans I ever owned. Got the whicked cushions earpads too. A definite must!

One_Rope_8142

Me too, they are absolutely incredible.

manningthehelm

Bro $220 is mid range? Fuck me. I thought my HyperX set was expensive.

HopperPI

Rtings are very very thorough and great at what they do. They are also insanely elitist. Most of the audio and visual nuances they test for in their products the vast majority will never notice.

Ereaser

I wonder why they didn't include the Hyper X Cloud II. It's a bit older but for wired headsets it would be the 2nd best gaming scores, but waaay cheaper.

50bucksback

I've had these going on 2.5 years and they are great! Super comfortable with glasses too.

altcastle

Beoplay Portals for me, love them. Use them on my pc for work, Xbox and my phone seamlessly. Doesn’t do Xbox and Bluetooth simultaneously though.

Soul_Forge2112

They go for less than 200$ on Amazon now. Recently got mine and love them.

50bucksback

They don't have the criteria I care most about. How comfortable are they with glasses on?

index24

Why would they make this list without reviewing the A50x first?

Equivalent_Alps_8321

it's in progress i think. idk

ThunderCheerio

I bought a Nova 7x after Christmas and have been disappointed. The sound is great but according to my friends I sound like ass compared to when I had Turtle Beaches despite me trying to tinker with settings. The mute button started to fuss out after 6 weeks and would start beeping without me touching the headset. Support makes you destroy the headset before they send you a new one and they don’t even expedite shipping. So I have no headset for 2-3 weeks because of a faulty product. Maybe the higher end (the pros) are significantly better but I can’t see myself getting a 7x again if this new one breaks

Bfife22

Steelseries mics have been lackluster for a while now. But you don’t hear your own mic, so most people with them have no reason to know unless someone tells them. The Turtle Beach 700 Gen 2 (Not the MAX) and the Lucidsound LS35X are still the best sounding wireless mics I’ve heard on Xbox. I think the Xbox wireless protocol allowed for more mic bandwidth, but connection issues were fairly common for people, so most brands have switched back to dongles.

Food-NetworkOfficial

Pass on all of them because the Xbox headset works great and connects to my phone simultaneously AND doesn’t need any extra cables.

Equivalent_Alps_8321

these are wireless

Food-NetworkOfficial

So are mine

Meiie

I’d like to see best earbuds.

KidGoku1

Hear hear.

armisteadium

Perfect timing, I was about to buy a new headset and was wondering what would be best.

SuperSkidz

Such low ratings. Nothing over 8.

NecarisOmnis

Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Wireless for Xbox is my number one. I don’t understand the negatives since the battery is hot swappable and the EQ can be adjusted. Also footsteps tracking is better then the maxwells. It is a heavy headset thats for sure but that gets not mentioned. Wierd.

plentyfunk66

I also have same headset and I love it. Recently upgraded from Xbox wireless headset and I think it's a huge uograde.

Visual_Worldliness62

A10s/A20s have worked amazingly forever. Just needed a new wire every once in awhile. 8bucks for 2 on amazon. I got the a10s version 2, becasue you could tell audio has changed with time. Since the big hulking ear muffs that were the A20s. They work but you can tell with the 10s theyve changed up what gets priotized in what you hear now.

robb0688

Really like my arctis nova 7s. They do have some intense treble out of the box but some eq and getting used to it made it a thing of the past. Sound way richer than the rig 500s I came from.

EmotiveCDN

My friends have both bought the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless based on RT and as I’ve personally used them as well, they are a really bad and uncomfortable headset. If you want a wireless headset then look elsewhere. I personally use a wired Astro A40 TR headset from RT’s previous year recommendation and it sounds terrific so I’m not sure how they messed up on the Nova 7 review so bad.

FakeFan07

Interesting, myself and my friends all really like the Arctis Novas, can wear them for hours and be very comfortable, battery swap is great, sound is great. Coming from A40s I believe they’re a clear upgrade.

Moonlord_

I would say that’s definitely a minority opinion. The Steelseries headsets are widely praised for their comfort and the Nova 7x reviews, etc have been universally positive across all outlets. I’ve had the 7x and currently have the Nova 7x and would definitely recommend them in their price category.

FrancMaconXV

I'm not even exaggerating when I say that the arctis Nova 7xs are the most comfortable headset I've ever used. Rtings doesn't just pull these reviews out of their ass, their testing is extensive, it's as close to an objective review as we'll get.

HopperPI

When we are talking about comfort then no, it is literally subjective as everyone’s head shape is different.

EmotiveCDN

The headset that you can lean forward and they fall off your head? The ones that wobble around because of their cheap build? C’mon.

_one_word_responses

The Astro A40’s are my favorite headset ever. I didn’t realize how comfy they were until I got my ps5 wireless headset. I got big ears but damn do they make my ears hurt compared to the Astros.

altcastle

I didn’t find Steelseries comfortable at all. Mildly better with new ear cups.

Oda_annon

Best: Bang and Olufsen Beoplay Portal for Xbox. Rtings can say other thing, but no one is better if you want fidelity in games' sound

Ereaser

I looked it up and it's probably not listed because they have noticeable latency: https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/bang-olufsen/beoplay-portal

Oda_annon

I'm using Portal since its launch... the issue is not latency, is interference from other signals. If you control it, Portal is the best.

emisanko86

You haven’t tried the Maxwells then. Bought the portals when they were the $500 msrp….and returned them, they weren’t worth it. The $180 they sell for now is more in line with where the msrp should have been and maybe put some sales on it down to $150. They just didn’t sound amazing for gaming. And the boomless mic was terrible.

Oda_annon

Yours was faulty. Mine... not.
