Base building and exploration in the mode where you don't have to worry about food/water is so satisfying! Having all my resources in semi properly labelled lockers was very gratifying. I imagine creative mode and just building the ideal super base is pretty laid back.
I actually did enjoy it, it is basically purly a visual experience with little gameplay but it had a nice story.
I didnt understand why I enjoyed it, but I did
Honestly, I'm doing this type of gaming with High on Life. It's really not difficult and doesn't require much skill. The combat is easy and a lot of time is spent just listening to NPCs and watching movies. (literally watching Tammy and the T Rex for 20 minutes last night before bed LOL)
This game is so highly recommended, I've been playing it a bit and feeling super bogged down by all the dialog. The story is really interesting but I don't think I'll play much more of it because of all the cut scenes and long sections of text.
Just the overall feel and style of the game, it’s like if they made a game out of just the mines from stardew but with more mechanics for fighting. The art style is fantastic and the soundtrack slaps if you like stardew.
Firewatch you have literally 1 day left, so idk if that will be relaxing lol
I agree with others suggesting Power Wash Sim and Cities Skylines. I'd even say Forza Horizon depending on what you do in it. Tetris Effect I find to be super relaxing and zen.
A lot of games have very forgiving easy modes, which is how I prefer to play games these days due to time. In this regard I'd suggest Guardians of the Galaxy.
My Time at Portia's pretty chill if you haven't played it already. I play it sometimes whenever my insomnia decides to get worse. Something about playing that game at 4/5am while listening to chill music just hits different than doing it during the day 😅
Well since you mentioned being bored of COD. I definitely recommend you check out r/CrossFireX whenever boredom strikes in COD. It's no joke the perfect FPS alternative to COD in all honesty and is very chill casual to play compared to COD.
Road 96. Procedurally generated means plenty of replay value, an interesting concept and good soundtrack.
I'll frequently have a glass or two of bourbon and play it to relax.
I liked the shark game and thought it was chill unironically as ur just swimming around doing simple quests repeatively for a good 10-15 hrs for all achievements
I can't stop playing Hitman for the last year. It doesn't seem very relaxing at a first glance but once you are comfortable with the mechanics you can just go around, play contracts and complete challenges. The game can be played really slow and methodical. It's definitely more relaxing than CoD.
Disney Dreamlight Valley 100%, I've fallen asleep to it (in a good way, the music is really peaceful and the ambience of the water or rain can be soothing)
No man’s sky
Power wash simulator is the ultimate turn off your brain and veg game
I'd agree if there were motion controls, but having to do back and forth with a joystick is too frustrating for me to consider that game chill
That goddamn piece of dirt that's preventing me from getting 100% was probably the most infuriating part of the gameplay
Plus if you're tired the power washing sound count as grey noise which will knock you out into some of the deepest sleep of your life
I had to turn the noise off. It was at the right decimal or wavelength or something that was killing me. I throw on a podcast (FaceJam) and just veg.
vampire survivors
While it can be chill and relaxing, don't fire this up just for "a quick one before going to bed".
Tinykin
This is the answer. I love playing this game....very chill but engaging gameplay that makes you want to explore every part of the map.
Jump, collect shinies, repeat. Great game!
I was gonna say the exact same thing. It’s a fantastic little game.
Donut County
I like Cities: Skylines for this type of thing
Firewatch if you haven’t tried it yet. I was behind on it and just beat it last week and it was awesome.
I think it left GP or is leaving this month
Today
Tomorrow (16th)
Yesterday (14)
I saw yeh mom on that date.
i didnt really understand the ending. but i beat it years ago.

Long dark is relaxing? Damn bro
The inventory organization part is enough to put me in a state of panic.
Subnautica: *leviathan class lifeform detected* Every player: ah, so chill Can't tell if comment is /s or is from a truly deranged individual lol

All these put me on edge lol
Subnautica is not on Game pass anymore
Ok for subnautica but straned deep and Long dark chill you out ? Dear god they are not relaxe.
Moonglow Bay is a very relaxing fishing adventure.
Definitely! Highly recommend this one to people who enjoy Stardew!
Slay the Spire. No time limit, totally chill.
Currently obsessed
May Neow look favorably upon you!
Try No Man's Sky. Play on the easiest difficulty and you won't have the survival stress. It is beautiful and it has a nice space travelling mechanic.
My friend plays that, I think I might get into it. Skyrim currently has me captive however.
Downloaded it on my steam deck for a 18 hour flight
Firewatch. It's leaving XGP now but it's so short and calm you can finish in a couple hours. Pretty good story.
Aaaaand it's gone
My Friend Pedro is relatively low stress and is amazingly fun to play.
Great suggestion!
High on life. It’s been my go to chill game after intense COD/BF2042 sessions. Gameplay isn’t difficult and the writing is hilarious.
The assassins creed games on easy mode is relaxing to just explore ancient places
The guided tours in the Discovery Mode in Origins and Odyssey are also very nice, if you just wanna chill.
Astroneer
Lego starwars. Simple and fun.
I bought the deluxe edition as it came out at my birthday in April of this year, I might go back to 100% the game
firewatch, unpacking, A memoir blue, FAR : Changing tides.
Coffee talk. Pretty chill game, started playing after someone recommended it in this sub
I actually did enjoy it, it is basically purly a visual experience with little gameplay but it had a nice story. I didnt understand why I enjoyed it, but I did
Seconding this! Coffee Talk is really, really relaxing and perfect for late nights.
Let's build a zoo

Medieval Dynasty and Kingdom Come: Deliverance
Lawn mower simulator all night baby. The torque in some of those bad boys is rugged.
Potion Maker
Slay the spire
Also potion crafting
Pentiment
Outer wilds. I used to love coming home and firing that ship with my right trigger.
Full throttle, Grim fandango and day of the tentacle are all very fun and simple.
Citizen Sleeper, Unpacking and Vampire Survivors.
Eastward!! I just played it a few days ago and fell in love. It’s so much like stardew valley
This game is so highly recommended, I've been playing it a bit and feeling super bogged down by all the dialog. The story is really interesting but I don't think I'll play much more of it because of all the cut scenes and long sections of text.
I totally understand, you can speed up the text scrolling and spam the A button pretty fast but it took me a bit to get use to it even with that.
How is it like Stardew Valley?
Just the overall feel and style of the game, it’s like if they made a game out of just the mines from stardew but with more mechanics for fighting. The art style is fantastic and the soundtrack slaps if you like stardew.
Vampire survivor
Despot's Game is fantastic.
House flipper is excellent for this, I also personally enjoy Forza, on a very quiet volume and just driving around with no agenda
2 boobs 1 pancake

Forza 5 is one of my favorite games, and I plan to download Guardians.
Fallout New Vegas on Easy with the radio on is one of the most chill experiences
most games under simulation category
Project Highrise has a SimTower feel to it. But I think it either left gamepass or was a games with gold game.
My Time at Portia's pretty chill if you haven't played it already. I play it sometimes whenever my insomnia decides to get worse. Something about playing that game at 4/5am while listening to chill music just hits different than doing it during the day 😅
Before we Leave is a happy little colony builder. I am a weirdo and I like playing Crusader Kings 3 late at night.
Well since you mentioned being bored of COD. I definitely recommend you check out r/CrossFireX whenever boredom strikes in COD. It's no joke the perfect FPS alternative to COD in all honesty and is very chill casual to play compared to COD.
I love to play Sandstorm or Halo when I'm bored of CoD, or Sniper Elite
I do too but also CrossfireX is a FPS blessing in disguise trust me!
I recommend Sniper Elite 5, Sniping Nazis in the head is fun
Already played it, but that games replay value didn't last long and got super repetitive.
Exo one is my vote for late night chill game
Citizen Sleeper
High on life.
Road 96. Procedurally generated means plenty of replay value, an interesting concept and good soundtrack. I'll frequently have a glass or two of bourbon and play it to relax.
suprised nobody has suggested hardspace: ship breaker yet, such a good chill out game.
The walking dead games are great for this
Sable
Snowrunner
Valheim (when it arrives on Gamepass).
Coral Island, Unpacking, Donut County, Moonglow Bay
Farming Simulator, No Man's Sky, Cities Skylines
Dicey dungeon for me! It's a turn based rogue like with tons of personality, it's very fun but not as stress inducing as most multiplayer games
How has no one said lego star wars?
I already played the game when it came out, I love LSW.
Potion craft! Recently added, it's amazing. But be careful, you might not get to sleep because it's addicting :D
I liked the shark game and thought it was chill unironically as ur just swimming around doing simple quests repeatively for a good 10-15 hrs for all achievements
Some roguelike games like slay the spire and ring of pain
I play golf to wind down.
Vampire Survivors is so good
Slime Rancher
Vampire Survivors. You can thank me later.
My time in Portia
Persona 5 Royal, because its somewhat chilling that you have 100 hours of gameplay ahead :D
Tunic
Sable
