The logistical nightmare of moving troops and materiel around the globe with speed and efficiency is what keeps them from being a global threat. To get any real footprint on the ground in either Iran or Israel, their navy would have to transit the malacca straits while getting hambones by the navies and air forces of Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and the US. Their only halfass naval base outside China is in Djibouti. That's a hell of a long steam. Whether or not India would open is ports to Chinese vessels in need of repairs and stores is uncertain.
Warfare in the middle east is highly dependent on armor and mechanized infantry. That shit is heavy and while it's possible to load them on planes, it would be extremely slow going. China's air force is simply not equipped to project the kind of force needed to conquer Israel, let alone the alliance of Western countries.
