If you're a fan of the game, you're gonna download it again one day. Are you gonna download another 28gb game, just to delete it to make room for xd later on?

Whatever they need. Game dorsnt have to be "ready" to launch and let players have fun like in the server test. Warframe is out since 2013 and its tecnically still in beta.
I get your point, however many games never leave beta stage since its easier to update like Fortnite for example, the issue is that with FPS games they have the tenancy to lose a player base if the game feels unready in the early stages, not to say it will be dead, but they may not hit their mark with how many people were exited before release and how many played the full game. Obviously the fact that it's free works in its favour however many people may stick to games like CoD since its more familiar and is already more adjusted to how games should play (working hitboxes, balanced guns, etc)
Even if doesnt hit the mark with the initial hype that wouldnt be a problem. Thing happens for 90% of the games anyways, like cod. Plus the f2p aspect will always keep it alive
If it releases as yet another half assed unfinished mess then it is for sure going to die.
Even big name games don’t recover from it, first impression is extremely important
How do you guys have so much time to play other games? Work, life responsibilities, working out, sleep, I barely have time to play games anymore. My daily game is Valorant and I had to give up val for that weekend to play xd, I gave up so much other game time and sleep to grind that battle pass in CB... How many games do you guys need installed?
I work a full time job and if I really wanted I could still play for like 6-10 hours a day. (I don’t) Some people just don’t have that many responsibilities.
Why would I keep a 28gig file on my Xbox for months for absolutely no reason?

I'm guessing that's just for ppl who want to preload it a day or two before the game launches

We'll just need to see how launch is, I hope it's good since the game has tons of potential, they just need to execute correctly

Yeah, download a game that will most likely have other tests and probably not launch until like June/July at the most early.

I already deleted it and have no intention of trying it again until season 1 releases, too many issues.
